Thanks so much for watching! 😊 With this video, we wanted to help you understand what is the best way to take care of the umbilical cord stump of your baby after birth, why the first 24 hours after birth play a crucial role in reducing the risk of an infection and why you should not use any substances like rubbing alcohol or olive oil when you take care of your baby’s cord stump! Moreover, our goal was to inform you about common problems related to the cord stump.

I had my baby 8 weeks ago. The midwife advised not to bath baby for a week but to just clean the body so water doesn’t touch the umbilical cord. Within 7 days the cord dried and fell off !

First of all: CONGRATULATIONS on your baby!! 😊😍😍 It's such a great relief to finally hold that little thing in your arms, isn't it? We hope both you and your baby are well! Also, thanks so much for sharing your story! 👍 Yes, dry cord care can definitely help a lot and it IS the fastest way for the baby to lose the cord! 😊 We wish you all the best for you and your baby! ❤️

My baby doesn't go anywhere bc she's so young she's advised not to 😊. So I don't really bother w/ bathing. Just use baby wipes to clean her up after diaper changes. But her cord or bump just fell off today. I told my hubby I'm saving it & that she'll get older & prob say I'm weird for it. But 😍 it was a literal connection we had tho 😭💔. I'm not really crying but "they grow up so fast" _sniffles_

Hello guys, first I really appreciate for your videos, they really helped me during my pregnancy journery as well as during my labour and delivery process. I was blessed with a pinkjet but my worry is she has developed a lot of heat rash around the neck and face. Kindly how can I go about this to help her become well. Also how do we manage colic issues. Thanks in advance

Hi there 😊, first of all, thanks a lot for your very lovely feedback! We are very happy to hear that you find our content helpful! 🥰 We also want to congratulate you on the birth of your baby!! We hope everything went well! 😊 Regarding your questions: Here is a video that could help you with colic: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJ_SgZuKZqysopI The heat rash on neck and face is something that we kindly ask you to discuss with a pediatrician. The problem is that we cannot tell you where it is coming from. There can be lots of harmless reasons (f.e. teething). But there can also be medical reasons that require attention (f.e. an ear infection). Therefore, we can only ask you to talk with a pediatrician about it. They have to determine the cause. And only then will you know what to do about it... We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hello there beautiful people hope lil one is doing great!! Had baby girl 5 weeks ago everything went well had two degree tear :( but all good now, was just wondering shes having bad baby acne type rashes all over her uper body and face since she was three week and hasn't gone yet. Any tips?

Heyyyyy!!! 😊😊 First of all, CONGRATULATIONS from the 2 of us!!! 🥳🥳🥳 It's very great to hear that everything went well!! ❤️😊😘 We already asked ourselves a couple of weeks ago, if you already have your baby.... Of course, we are not happy to hear that you had a second degree tear. However, sometimes, there is just no way to prevent tearing. There are just too many factors involved in a birth. Luckily though, it wasn't severe tearing... Regarding your question: There are five things that you can try: - apply breastmilk on your baby's acne (if you are breastfeeding) - oatmeal bath (grind oatmeal to a powder and add the powder to lukewarm water in the baby's bathtub. Let her soak for some 10 minutes or so while keeping it away from her eyes) - chemical free detergents (it COULD help, but you would need to try...) - diet (if you are breastfeeding, stay away from dairy products and products containing lots of sugar) - coconut oil (apply a few drops on your baby's acne) We hope that one of these things is going to help you! 😊 We really hope that we can see your baby some day! And then we can also show you how tall Cayden already is! We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your sweet little baby!! ❤️😊😘

Hello guys. Me again hehe. My baby is now just over 5 weeks but his umbilical cord has not fallen off. Last week we went to Dr. Drs seemed they didn’t know why it did not fall. It doesn’t have an infection, no redness , no fever, no pus. I saw little stain on baby’s clothes but Dr said if that doesn’t have bad smell, don’t worry. We did exactly what you guys saying on this video except daily cleaning because my baby’s Dr said don’t touch it, do not clean it, it will dry and fall off itself. Baby is very healthy, he is eating, sleeping very good, growing very fast but I’ve been worrying about this cord thing and been reading lot on Google . Have you seen anything like that? It looks dry outside but inside still not dried yet. Thanks for your help 🙏🙏🙏🙏
@CareAboutLittleOnes2 жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, that's very strange! So far, we have never heard of such a case before! So, the first thing we would have told you is to bring your baby to a doctor for a checkup, to see if there is an infection or anything. However, since there does not seem to be an infection nor any other problem, we would not worry too much about it! Eventually it will fall off! The most important thing is that your baby is healthy and eating well! At this point, we would just observe it and watch out for anything that does not seem right, like pus, redness etc. We are sorry that we cannot be a better help here! We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

My baby's cord fell off yesterday but there is a yellowish remains, I was advised to use surgical spirit to clean it and that's what I have been using,my question is should I continue to clean the yellowish remains with the surgical spirit or I leave it without cleaning it?

Hi there 😊, it's normal for the navel to ooze some secretions after the cord fell off. The best thing is to keep it dry by padding it dry. It should stop after a couple of days. However, if you have any doubts or if you are concerned that the area could be infected, please talk with your provider! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby! ❤️

Hi there 😘, if the cord stump fell off, then it is okay to clean it with mild soap (suitable for babies) and water, yes! Please keep observing if it keeps smelling though! If so, please do consult with your pediatrician - thank you! 😘 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

I've been waiting this topic for so long because im very worried about my baby's umbilical cord though its already fall off when he is 4 days old but it still smelly is't normal?
@CareAboutLittleOnes3 жыл бұрын
Hi there Mery! 😊 We are very sorry that it took us that long to produce a video on this topic. We receive so many questions every day that we don't even know where to start! 😅 In general, if the area is still smelly, we would have a doctor have a look at it. Probably, everything is alright. However, a foul smell can always be a sign of an infection. And infections in such young babies are very dangerous which is why we would go and see a doctor! But please, don't be worries just yet! It's just a precautionary measure! We wish you all the best for you and your baby!! ❤️

My baby is 8 days old why his umbilical cord not falls out? I'm worried 😫 I put an alcohol to that in the 3rd day because they said it will dry fast. Is it wrong?
@CareAboutLittleOnes Жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, please note that it can take much longer than 8 days for it to fall off. And there is really no need to put anything on it! It will fall off all by itself. In fact, the best thing to do is to let it dry out... So, don't worry about it! As long as it does not seem affected, everything is alright. But of course, if you are worried, please talk with a doctor and let them have a look at it! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there 😘, yes, the best thing would be to let it dry out! Normally, you don't need any particular things to treat it. The most important thing to avoid is an infection! So, please check the cord stump regularly! And if it is smelly, then it is important that you keep in touch with your doctor! Thank you! We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
