@pitolinmotion Жыл бұрын
Hey! And you are welcome: really it’s the same process as getting an PM role. It being remote is just a function of the company. However it doesn’t make any of your roles or responsibilities will change. I think so a cert, that will help, then just update your cv for project management and leverage your previous project experience as a BA to prove that you can do the role. I think that’s really key. You need to be able to pull this out clearly on your resume

Hi Pitol, I've been going through some of the channels providing some insight into the project management career and unsurprisingly, I stumbled upon yours. I think you've explained very clearly how good of a job it is but I've been wondering, is it possible for a person like myself with a medical background to go for it? Will it be challenging? Also, will google certification help me land a job in the future if I consider coming to this profession? Finally, is a degree in MBA a must? Cause I have seen some people in the comments who possess one. I'd highly appreciate your response. Again, fantastic video!😀
@pitolinmotion Жыл бұрын
Hey! So I believe anyone no matter the background can go for it, will it be challenging? probs yes if you’re unable to demonstrate the skills required for the role, but you may be able to so really that’s down to the individual . Any certificate is a plus as it shows your knowledge and dedication to the role. Given you have no practical experience the google pm cert will probs be helpful to you to make yourself more attractive. But please remember this does not guarantee outcomes . MBA is not necessary. I don’t even have a master degree. Hope this helps

Yay! 🎉😩 love that. So not necessarily, obvs having certification is more attractive to employers, but it’s more important to be able to demonstrate that you have the soft skills required for the role first. If you can’t demonstrate that through any past roles you have done, or hobbies / activities getting a cert will help I believe: this being said there are more Certs than prince 2 , so it will depend on what kinda project delivery you want to go into. Hey! Fab stuff! It really depends on what you’ve been doing within accounting. If it’s like you’ve literally just been doing to management accounts, then Unlikely. you’ll probs need to do a cert and start in an entry level role. maybe start taking on more project like activities in your current role to help you . But if it’s like you’ve had a hand in implementing a new accounting system or something like that, you should defo leverage that experience in your cv.
