Automation testing is like Luxury car. not everyone can afford it. Im every company or project , Managers will start by saying , we will focus on automation, by end of project and tight deadline, automation testing is a costly thing in terms of time as well, so even automation testers get moved in manual testing. 2) qa managers actually dont want their experienced tester to learn automation.because they know if testers learn automation, they will get better opportunity outside the organization. Now the question is who is better Dev or tester: it simply boils down to this (and it is my personal opinion without any disrespect to anyone) , if there is no dev .. no app will be there, what will tester test or automate.. So if there is recession, there are more chances of testers getting laid off. (like during covid )

Nowadays we live in the age of devops,we have sdets who are highly skilled in programming and can easily take up developmental activities as well. The strict distinction between tester and developer is slowly getting blurred.

Every body will think testing is so easy and dev work is hard It's completely wrong dev will give build to QA and they will relax , testers should test the build continuously, repeatedly ,u will learn nothing technical where devlopers learn other technologies in mean time,. When it comes to packages on exp. After 3-4 exp dev sees good salay hike and jump which is 8-15 lak, in testing after the 1st hike u will see equal sal as Dev but after 2nd hike u ll see huge difference APPRECIATION::: if the build go with 0 bugs dev team see huge appreciation from management ,onsite ever where If QA team find bugs also ,u ll get nothing. Don't don't don't ever think about testing as career if u r a fresher

Manual k liye nahi h need coding ki....automation mein chahiye but not at developer level....you can do manual testing 2-3 months course and then can begin as QA and while working as manual study automation as well.
