As an introvert myself, it’s not easy to get a crew involved in any project I want to create. I hope when I finish university (without failing any courses, because of the pass/fail assignments), I do one of these 3 jobs in the future, and then tell my story.

The unwritten message here is that introverts are powerful beings and are capable of creating beautiful things (and are not just uninteresting beings like most people assume)❤️ I love how they emphasise that they’re introverts. Gives me so much hope ❤️

Some of the most wonderful people I've met are absolute introverts. Some of the most impactful people as well. Thanks so much for making this video - So wonderfully demonstrates every step of the film making process!

All you need is drive, motivation and backbone. All qualities you can improve over time to get where you want. A defeatist attitude just works against you and guarantees you will not find yourself any opportunities

I started out in acting went from focus on theatre to film due to part introversion and wanting to have a backup plan as I didn't have a mentor for guidance at that point, I decided to get my AA while involved in theatre at the community level in college told to shift focus to film while I worked on the shyness of live audience. Since I had my AA I flipped a coin on a "backup degree" plan and got my BA in History I realized I may have chosen the wrong side of the coin as writing was my other passion, so I added a double major my last semester and still graduated in time with a BA in English as well. I decided to get my MA in English Lit (was asked by head of Dept to reconsider staying with History but did not and proceeded to get my MA in English Literature. Due to some health issues at that time my path as research assistant was interrupted by a move and transfer but completed the MA. I decided then to get my MA in Film going back to main passion (Film History primary starting focus) learned about Script Writing, Sound and Music, and the non front facing aspects of Film making and the experience acting plus History, Literature and Film actually went well together as many films are based on books as adaptations, original writing and editing wasn't an issue, historical consulting on period pieces and music editing plus acting itself being the primary starting focus I now have the issue of It's not what you know but who you know. I wish this was an industry that was not so closed off, Thank you for bringing light to some of the many many jobs that make a film behind the scenes. I do wish there was more direction on how to make those connections as I feel a lot of what I've learned and the path could've been easier knowing the opportunities for experience at what I already was good at but these jobs are often not easy to know how to get the foot in the door on. For anyone reading go for where your passion and talent is you can learn and shift as you go and do a backup later if need be. I don't regret how I got to so many niche areas because adaptations, writing, historical context, sound, and performance are all important aspects even preserving film history. I do wish however that I had more access to opportunities to use these skills now especially as less of an introvert over the course of learning and finding my areas of expertise. I do wish I had had a good mentor or better guidance on breaking into the industry though do not forget the importance of making those connections while working to become proficient especially as an introvert. If you read all of this I wish you success in your endeavours and if you feel stuck remember there is a place for whatever your area of speciality is in this industry don't stop trying to find the right place and put yourself out there, also as creative people let's support help and appreciate each other's unique perspectives so we can create the best art as a team.

PS. Keep in mind that your eyes go after 20 to 25 years of computer screen time. Hence why glasses come with the sociolized style ques. Meaning, for longevity limit your data entry and reading tiny thing off monitors. Low yellow lights in or under tabletop lamp shades then read off paper. Preserve your eyesite. Otherwise at like 35 your head will hurt and your stuck not wanting to use computers for anything. Even though you know them well. Light computer work. Like 2 hours a day tops is desired. I stopped editting over a decade ago. Less errors that impact meaning. (1993 to 2015 = 22 years of screen time)

Indeed is a good service if used right. I am not an introvert i just hate the endless editting of grammar and office arguing over stuff that doesnt really matter at all. People are rude and ignorant, most general public falls for fake news and argues all pissy about it. So we say introvert to avoid the aforementioned. Id rather have light human interaction. I dont know why the point of sale counters have become no fun angry tense places. Coupon stacking, overrides confusing misleading ads designed to make us fight when shopping. Shopping hasnt been fun since the 1990s when you could go in and try shit on. They have it, then you leave without paying twice as much than online. Everything online sucks. I am more scared of the abusive middle manager and angry old men yelling at me, forcing more hours than any lion, tiger, russia, etc...i hate doing the indeed assessments. Take that part out its a redundant joke.
