I could have missed it, but is there a video like this but for people trying to get into the industry? With either little or no experience? I'm currently trying to start my own portfolio although I'm stuck as to how to approach it (e.g. take RL example and show how I would have done it, or provide pieces based off a hypothetical business situation?).

I loved the third portfolio because it shows the abilities of the digital marketer and what they could have done better which is honest and shows their learning mentality.

Lol, I also found the second portfolio, while looking for marketing "strategy" portfolios. (Her portfolio had strategy listed as a keyword) and it kind of made me second doubt putting my extremely detailed case study on my portfolio as it seems most portfolios contain much visuals and little text. They show the outcome of their work on metrics, but little regarding the thought process, analytical thinking that goes into reaching the results. I am glad to see the third portfolio which was much more detailed, and provides some insight into the each stage of the process to reach the outcome. I am targeting jobs within marketing strategist/marketing analytics, and writing more in depth case studies to show my thinking to compensate for the lack of experience. What are your thoughts on the length of case studies and including personal projects? Is it safer to put too much, rather than too little? Should I find a way to cater to both those who like to read and those that don't?

I personally feel these portfolios are a bit much. There's too much information 😅 too many words, etc. But thank you for showing them, now I know to do something simple.

I think resume is used for company job applications, contains texts and description and only 1 page while portfolio is also like a summary of your skills but for a digital marketer, most skills are video editing, social media marketing, graphic design, funnel design etc which needs a sample of your work (vids, graphics, case studies, testimonials ..) thats why website portfolio is needed for you to stand out
