Dude come on, they both contributed to each others music and did really well. Marcela is as independent as Arjen is, even though he's worked with several of the worlds greatest metal musicians/singers. They were the perfect chemistry for the metal music they were going for.

By working with them and seeing how Marcela matured so much as a vocalist and musician, she was able to open up more of her amazing creativity with the band on her own. Arjen is still an amazing musician as he's always been, and is currently working on The Theory of Everything, and Marcela is just as amazing. They're both amazing and talented, so it's pointless and uncool that you would say such a thing when they made amazing music together on the Human Equation album and this band.

Arjen formed this band for Marcela, to give her a kickstarted band where she could showcase her talent and Arjen left the band intentionally as it was the plan from the beginning, so she didn't ruin anything as you said, but yeah, Embrace the Storm is their only record which I could say is very well composed. Arjen is one of the greatest composers ever, so no wonder they can't write as clever stuff as him.
