Again, inspiration came from a KZbin couple I follow, as well as some hypothetical situations where Marc may be making some decisions for me (hypothetical because Marc is a great caretaker and I am fortunately not ill.) I absolutely love this case study series! If I wouldn't be following "those other people" I'd think you were making 90% of this up because ... well who DOES those horrid things?! But I know the answer and it's frightening.

I thought it was especially cruel that she cooked that very good smelling spaghetti knowing he is starving and hasn’t eaten in over a month and went on and on about how good it was. And to make it worse she said he commented on how good it smelled. I would have made a cold cut sandwich and ate it in another room. I wouldn’t do that to my dogs. She is cruel and selfish.

I have fell ass first into this hell pit of a rabbit hole, for sure! I just sit with my mouth hanging open & when someone in the house asks me what's wrong, I fill them in & now I've had my husband & teenage daughter sitting through parts because they're just as shocked & horrified as I am so far. As loud & opinionated, & frankly, harsh as I can be with some of my thoughts on things, I def appreciate the care you take when describing this whole case study series. I feel like you do give the "hypothetical Steve" some dignity & respect & concern that "hypothetical Marc" clearly HAS NOT given him.

It's always sad when someone gets sick to the point of having to depend on someone else for their basic care. Having said that, I find it hard to feel bad for a man that had years to grow a spine in that relationship. He is directly responsible for letting her become the monster she is now. What really amazes me is that the medical staff is not seeing her for what she truly is...a danger to his life!! Thanks for sharing.

This series, these people are very upsetting. I dont know what this woman is playing at! The opportunity, the privilege to care for someone you love should not be taken for granted. If she hasn't already, I hope sometime very soon she takes the time to tell him everything he means to her. Time is not promised to anyone and I'm sure she doesn't want to live with regrets.

Kristi she has been reported multiple times and evidently the legal system is such that if Tommy chooses to let her slowly torture and kill him there is nothing anyone can do. It’s his right.

You certainly are a "catch"! :-) I think the "friend" is close to moving in!! Who is going to eat $300 worth of food? Maybe, the wifey and friend will eat it and make patient watch them devour while he is fed through his feeding tube! I really cannot watch them anymore, so these updates keep me in the "loop". Just awful!

Steve you've nailed it again. I know of several people who claimed they reported and to my knowledge don't believe for a minute that any of them was "Sam". A little late watching this, but I know she's repeatedly said rehab was never given as an option however is now saying it was, smh

Hi Steve thanks for the cute Christmas card. Haven't been on much, I'm in pain, just found out I have arthritis in my shoulder, it's bone to bone, the pain is outrageous. For once I'm glad my kids aren't here. As a nurse do you both have HIPPA's with each other's name on them? my son and daughter in law are not legally married, they are happy the way they are. The both put each other's name on HIPPA form.... thanks mom lol they are legal registered partners, making them as good as married. She calls us mom and dad. That took a long time.
