The self builds were either for gamers, or those who enjoyed making thier own. With the price of computer parts going sky high (graphics cards especially) it has gotten way to expensive. The average home user or traveling business user have all gone to laptops, even tablets sales have tanked. The super young now do everything on their phones. It's like home stereo CD players, CD sales have dropped. I bought a NAD 538 CD player a year ago, and I still build my own PC's. My last PC I built last year was in a Fractal Pop Case, because it still has a 5.25 drive bay. Only "new" case in the last two years that even has one.

from Amazon Warehouse I bought: GIGABYTE B550M DS3H $62.32, AMD Ryzen 5 5600G $83.72, HP FX900 Pro 1 TB Solid State Drive - M.2 $51.95, Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ $36.56, Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L Micro-ATX Tower $39.99, Cooler Master Hyper 212 Halo $15.23, had 32gb spare corsair ram, keyboard, mouse and 27" AOC Monitor so entire system $289.77 to replace a 10 year old HP all in 1 system, it will be a HUGE upgrade for them.
