@@explorer867 NICE RIG... Can't wait to see it! >>>>> >>> ???>>> I was looking at DUAL Axels and yet I see a lot of these builds on Single....WHY?
@explorer8674 жыл бұрын
@@RVingwithG Dual axles have there place for sure. They will carry heaver loads, can be more stable going down the road (This is more a problem when with a single axle when you don't have good tires and or over load the trailer. With the single axle if you need to maneuver it by hand its very easy to do. If you have ever driven off road and come to a dead end or an impassable point in the road and have to turn around by disconnecting the trailer and moving it by hand you'll be glad you have a single axle. Thank you for watching our videos and leaving good questions/comments. Hope to hear from you again soon.

@@explorer867 Thanks for the feedback. Now is 12' that much bigger than 10' and is a "V" nose make that much difference in wind/pulling? I'm so mixed on getting a ALUM 6x10 vs Steel 6x12 for the same price and a 6x12 Dual axle is also the same price = a great buy. I just wish the ALUM one was 6-7 x 12 single axle... need vs wants. Love your videos. I hope to get YT up and running too.

I ended up getting a 7.5 x 16 tandem torsion axle for my application. I am using to haul around a Side by side. All aluminum, screw less and single piece aluminum roof. I was very impressed with the fit and finish of the trailer as well. Welds looked great and all the wiring was nicely loomed and tucked away. Nothing hanging down under the trailer. I think these trailers provide excellent value for what you get.

I like those trailers. I always thought it would be cool to frame in the back with a regular door and window. That is also where the ac would go. The flip down ramp is the porch and an awning would cover the area. And when you get ready to go, flip your porch back up and no one would really know that it was a camper. But that won't work with a 4 wheeler. It will be cool to see what yall come up with.
@explorer8674 жыл бұрын
These are well built trailers and as there aluminum only 955 pounds to start with. Yes the ramp door will double as a porch for sure. Lee Lee you have some great ideas for the trailer. You should build one also. Sounds like your ideas would make a neat build. Take care

Check out my conversion camper, it is exactly what you're talking about. Tap the blue circle with the B in it and watch the updated video, make sure you watch the updated version because that is the finished product except for the canopy which I'm thinking of a framed aluminum one that flips up first before I open the ramp but I'm still weighing my options. If you like log cabins you will like my conversion camper. Without windows it would be like living in a coffin.
