Have you had any issues with the spare tire mounted on the back? Curious if the road vibration cause it to loosen or even stretch the bolt holes
@explorer867Ай бұрын
No problems. When placing tire mount on rear door make sure you place reinforcement lumber inside door cavity. For example I cut 2 2x6's and placed them inside the cavity one on either side of center rib then ran bolts through 2x6's spanning the rib. I used fender washers and lock nuts on inside of door. Hope this helps🤠 Please like, subscribe and let others know about our channel on your social media.

I use one of these units to heat the house, it runs all winter, so other than noise they are perfectly safe to run all night! but they do foul a bit more if left on low burn for too long, so before shut down I let it run full tilt for 30m and injector cleaner does healp

So minimal. I love it. This takes care of your needs while keeping almost the entire space to still use as a cargo trailer. Very inexpensive build so you can spend your money on key equipment and electronics. You could fit two full size motorcycles in there still.

Your fuel pump insulation for noise and temp control, try using rock wool. A little pricey but very effective in both uses. I also love the layout. The spartan use of space leaves it open to quick change of use. Very effective.

I might get a 97 f250 crew cab short bed 2wd 7.3 diesel. On a trade for my race car/old daily driver 2003 Subaru WRX. If it works out I want to find a bed cap like that and do something very similar for me and my son to start camping together. He's almost three so it's prime time to start taking him fishing 🎣 I can't wait for the memories we're going to make together. I also have an R50 pathfinder we did a ton of work too Including all new suspension and all terrain wrangler tires. The little suv is so much more capable than it's been in a long time. Rear seats fold down so we can camp in there as well if the truck doesn't work out. I wanted to do a small cargo trailer conversion build but I don't have anywhere to keep a trailer right now so all though cool and fun it's not really gonna work out how I wanted it to. Some day I want a small camper trailer. Like a 20ish ft pull behind camper. Some day 😂 we live on the Gulf of Mexico in Texas so a small aluminum boat is much more useful than a camper for us. With all the crazy flooding and weather in our area I could save us in a hurricane Harvey type event if we had a small boat. Hurricane season this year is supposed to be eventful 😢
