Even if you put a lock on the hasp, someone could still zip tie the bar to it. I chose to add a hasp on the wall so I could lock the bar to the wall.

Love the entire set up of your camper. You answered a lot of similar concerns in detail, that I had. From locking doors in the open position to stainless steel D-rings and undercarriage protection. Agreed about the rear wall, cooking outside. The "turning cargo trailer into a camper" series checks all the boxes. Subscribed.

Lots of good points. They all need to be considered. A lot of folks get in over their heads. This type of lesson is critical to people attempting a CTC. If not handy it will end up being just as expensive as a pre built unit.

I only just found your channel and gotta say I'm super impressed with all you've done so far. I'm a union Carpenter and a perfectionist as well. I can do all of the installation. I've actually built out my van Ford E-250 and my wife and I realized we are just going to need more room. My wife is set on having the double axle and I'm not against it by any means. I'm going on to part 2 and looking forward to it! I sub'd too btw. I appreciate these kinds of videos so, Thank you! Tim Miller

Thank you! I got a lot more parts to this series coming soon especially on the interior wall and ceiling liner, ceiling insulation, electrical, and eventually the plumbing! Thanks once again!

Nice work Todd. Obviously you seem to think out things very well. Wondering if you you insulated the walls and ceiling. And if a porta potty is in the future. I have a 7 x 12 Neo that I am working on and debating on putting in insulation. Mine is just a weekend camper and toy hauler so trying to keep it simple. Keep up the good work!

I just insulated the ceiling which I'm going to go over in the next part of this series. We use the camground bath first, woods 2nd, and cassette toilet 3rd. Thanks for the kind words!

You ave a beautiful CTC nice job! However I have to chuckle at the continuous debate of folks being locked in their CTC. The cargo trailer has been a popular choice as a camper for many years now and no one has ever reported being locked in their CTC!
