I have a 2022 sentra sv and this car gets really great gas mileage and the fact that it's NOT a turbo is what I liked about it. It should last many many years where a turbo will where out fast. Forcing all that air into the moter wares them out faster. And it gets around great I have 0 issues with it. Just remember it's NOT a turbo or a GT or anything fancy. It's a car it gets you from point A to point B it does it cheaply and quietly and with gas at $5.00 plus a gallon it's not bad thanks and keep them videos coming.

I watched your review last month, I brought my 3rd car from Nissan, the Stanza in 1983, the Altima in 2007 and now the Sentra SV, pick it up 5/13, need I say more, I love their cars, Sentra is out of sight ❤️ it rides good, plenty of room for my 6ft frame, sound system is nice 🎶

EXCITING!!! I just got myself a 2020 nissan versa sv. ive been obsessed with watching these kinds of videos. I originally wanted a toyota but this is what i just ended up leaving with, i dropped the gun too fast and jumped on it without seeing what else cars i had to choose from, lol. i'm very grateful though, god is good!!!!

I like the interior and exterior, but the CVT and engine feel very disconnected and the transmission has a big delay when you shift from drive to reverse. I bought one of this on 2021 (SV) but return-it to the dealer the 8th day. I change it with a Kia Soul, it’s basically the same transmission and engine power but the feel behind the wheel it’s far far way better compare to the Sentra. Kia CVT feels excelent. But certainlly, the Nissan looks great.

Well for sure the SR that I have doesn't feel that way .. I don't know but I assume you was more hesitant cause of the CVT but the 2021 Sentra SR I have begs to be revved and driven .. Although I rarely do it .. You literally have to open the car exhaust for the car to really feel engaged to drive and most people don't know that at all ..

I disagree. I feel the engine and transmission is the right type of connected. The engine usually alway matches the speed at you acceleration.. it revs oit like its locked in a ratio and I don't notice any engine droning. It's also much smoother than the kia engine.

If Nissan is insistent on using CVT's they should at least go back to using the high torque Xtroid cvt instead of the xtronic. The belt is the weakest link especially when paired to powerful engines like the vq35 in the Maxima.

I've always liked the 2020+ Sentra. Particularly the SR Trim (with Premium package). Almost bought one, but ended up going with a Mazda3. I love the Mazda, but I can't help looking back. I still think this car is beautiful. Perhaps they'll refresh it next year, and give it a bit more power. Here's wishing...

@@barnes80 I do. I’m about to buy out my lease on it, in fact. I still think the Sentra is beautiful, though, and probably would have been happy with that, too. I kinda “dumb lucked it” with the Mazda, as I selected it at the 11’th hour of my deal on a Sentra. I annoyed my lease broker with that move. I ultimately chose it because the payment was lower, and Mazda’s reputation for reliability was stronger than Nissan’s. Turns out to have been a good decision, as I’ve had zero problems with my Mazda since getting it.

i drive sentra 2021 and i love it. the only issue with the car is that it takes a bit longer to heat up the engine during winter driving. You need to drive a good 5-10mins before your gear shifts normally. YES, i make sure i wait atleast 3-5mins after turning on but it still is the case. I also wish that remote start wont blast the air to fullest setting. If there was a setting to turn off air condition on remote start. i just use remote start to heat up my engine before i drive, here in NY, it gets pretty cold.

What's should a cvt feel like when it shifts properly?

@@davidryder5082 usually when it's cold you find yourself pushing the engine a lot harder than you typically would in warmer weather. CVT stays at a lower gear ratio for longer when it is cold (below freezing)

@@snuklens ok thanks. Never driven a CVT when it was cold. Good information though. I'll probably stick with regular auto or a dct both of witch seem to perform as normal regardless of the temp. I'm not a CVT guy and in my experience they are junk. Jatco may be as bad as they come IMHO.

It's ok but I think the Kia Forte GT is a much better car for about the same price. It's a shame Nissan just gave up on the performance edge they use to have over the competition back in the day.

I’ve looked for every compact cars and really couldn’t decide which one to get, Sentra or Mazda3. I ended up with Mazda3 but Sentra looks really nice especially the mid night edition

Nissan should have a more powerful engine option on this car. Nice styling inside and out. The rear styling needs LED lamps but good otherwise for an affordable car.

The Sentra is a nice car. The inly reason it’s outshined is that the more expensive Civic is that good and the Corolla has reliability. Nissan just needs time to prove the CVT issues have been sorted out because I think that’s its achilles heel.

It's a beautiful car fell in love with it when came out a few years back. It needs a 6 speed manual over here in (US- Canada has it standard) overall really love thus car Sentra reminds me of the Elantra in other ways.

Actually not the same. They removed LED headlights from the SV with premium package. Now to get acceptable rated headlights you must buy the SR. Shame

I think the Sentra is a very good looking car, the interior is very classy especially on the SV with the brown cross stitch leather, it just baffles me that even on the highest trim sentra, and the highest trim Altima which is over 40K they don't have LED tail lights, the last generation Sentra and Altima did....?

For free in a heartbeat i would and if you want more power put a cai on it or drop in a k and n filter in it it won't be a huge difference but it helps

Doing the oil change on this is horrible. Have to remove a lower engine cover with 20+ clips, takes about 2-3x longer than a traditional oil change.

So true but after watching that painful process on KZbin. I have decided to do this to my Sentra so change the oil myself wouldn't be such a pain in the ass. First, I can cut out 4x4 of the plastic cover directly under the oil drain plug to gain access to it and room for oil to drain out without removing those stupid clips/the splash guard. For gaining access to the oil file, I then just removed the front 10mm screws along with some plastic clips, plus few more clip along the front side then pull down the cover, slide your oil pan between the cover and oil filter then loosen the oil filter, let oil drip to your oil pan. I hope this help?

all those features on the dashboard i would never look or pay attention to other than the fuel meter which should be large and display a dial not a bar so it is easier to see how much fuel is left. they are putting too many things on that people never use that take your eyes off the road. it needs a backup camera.
