Great video. Thanks for the tips on the PBC. I got my PBC recently and have done St. Louis Cut Ribs and Baby Back thus far and they've been fantastic. I'm going to be doing your wings recipe tomorrow. Thanks! Keep up the great job! George in Orlando

You've convinced me Greg, I'm definitely getting one of these when I have a little money to spend.. I hope your getting some kick backs for these awesome commercials your providing them..lol. You've sold me, that's for sure.. I've been wanting a worthy smoker on the cheap, and this is the ultimate "set it and forget it" smoker.. Thanks bud.. Cheers.

You'll dig it Chad. Not getting any kick-backs, but the owner is a solid guy and if there is anything I can do that may help out a small company, even a little bit, I'll do it.

If you don't have a pit barrel cooker, how long and at what temperature would you cook them on a grill or in an oven?

See this is my kinda cooking... QUICK & EASY lol. I hate trekking down 24 aisles at the grocery just trying to find ingredients that I never seem to have at home (for ONE recipe, mind you)... Then waiting in long checkout lines once I have all of the ingredients... Then spending hours in the kitchen/at the grill putting it all together. QUICK & EASY, thats what I like lol I will be making this very soon!
@BallisticBBQ11 жыл бұрын
Thank you Brandon. I've had the same experiences brother!

Darn good lookin' wings Greg. When doing a shorter cook like this on the PBC, did you use less than a basket full of coals?
@BallisticBBQ11 жыл бұрын
You know Joe, on this cook I did. But, one of the things I learned is I didn't have to. Next time I'll cut the amount in half. I'm still experimenting with this thing.
@tangojoe969411 жыл бұрын
Same here Greg. I have only done four cooks on mine and will keep on experimenting with coal levels and cook times.

I'm wondering if this recipe couldn't be adapted to a full chicken: cut up into pieces (breasts, thighs, drumsticks, wings), marinated, cooked on the grate, bathed in the glaze and finished. Probably take a little longer since some of the pieces bigger than wings. My problem is my better half will not eat dark meat. Think I'll give it a try and see what happens

LOL! I cringe slightly at the sight of pouring the Captain Morgan's into a baggie with some wings. Might I have a slosh in my glass, please? I'm watching these backwards, and again, this glaze you're building looks amazing!

LOL! Sorry!!! If it makes you feel better, I had a shot when the camera was off. :)

I love your videos but on this one I didn't find the chicken flavorful. I might have done something wrong. I followed every detail from marinating the wings in the Black Spiced Rum and Pineapple Juice to the Coconut Milk Glaze. I even used Pineapple Head Rub from Dizzy Pig on some of the wings and Bone Sucking Rub on the others. Did I miss something ? Maybe I will try again. I do like to try new things.
@droszel9 жыл бұрын
+gtiprod Had the same experience. The chicken had no flavor; almost as if it had been poached. That's a shame, because the concept seemed mouthwatering. As I look at the comments, I don't see any other than yours from people who actually tried the recipe. Too bad.

I love the PBC but you just gotta got back on the extra talk. "What I have here", "and in here I have" , "This is etc"....DUDE! Add a 1/4 cup whatever, a 1/2 tbsp whatever..and on and on. DARN!

Greg, I like your videos but could you make one change if you don't mind...can we scale back on how many times you refer to "guys" all the time...please? For a change I would like to be addressed as "folks...or friends. Maybe you should listen to your own videos and see what you think. "Guys" is way overused, something more classy would be appreciated. Thanks for listening.
