I think since Caribert was "able to weave his own destiny" his curse was actually lifted, and eventually buried with his mother, but he had descendants too. Kaeya might be one of those descendants.

8:58 I don't know if someone already wrote it, but what's interessting about this is that Chlothar calls our sibling the prince/princess of Khaenri'ah. Until now we knew them as prince/princess of the Abyss Order. At that time, Chlothar didn't found the Abyss Order yet, and while we already knew that our sibling had ties to Khaenri'ah this makes things a bit more interesting. What this means in the grant scheme of things? No idea, just thought it was interesting. English is not my first language, so feel free to correct me if you find any mistakes, I tend to place way to many comma's :)

Pierro was a royal mage, and worked with a foreign traveller, with Nahida said our sibling was possibly summoned to teyvat: tells how much our sibling used to hold a higher status back in Khaenriah.

This could all mean that while Chlothar himself was an Alberich, he wasn't close to the family member(s) in power or in line of succession. Perhaps the sibling(s) higher status could indicate a relation to the Eclipse dynasty and maybe even the founding of Khaenri'ah or their presumed ties with the Abyss gave them a special status and authority

A curious thing is that the sinner mentions that our sibling has a "fate". This alludes to the fact that abyss sib has been committed to the irminsul then, which caused them to have a fate set in stone. To my knowledge, traveler doesnt have a fate according to Mona's scry. This probably applies to all outlanders naturally. "But what did you bring us instead?" Whatever they did, this was probably the defining moment which shackled the sibling to irminsul. Did they bring strife? The heavenly principles? War? Khemia? It was so bad an apocalypse began.

About the artifact praying pose, I've seen some dev talking about their intentions behind that. It was a rough translation from CN, but from what I could read, it's intentional. You need to give your prayers to be able to use the artifact powers. Pretty interesting!

my friend also mentioned that as soon as Dain wakes us up, he says we were dreaming of our "sibling" and allows us to rest more, meaning it's likely were in the dream even then. i liked the recap, especially since you add in relevant info that's not always easy to recall from older content. still have to personally rate the quest 1/10: not enough Dain

What I understand is that we do not know what happened to Caribert and Chlothar was able to break the curse some time later and achieved death. This means that some unknown amount of time after this event, the curse was some how broken by the Abyss. Because of how recent and intact this hut and area is, what I think is that Chlothar only achieved this feat very recently, e.g. within the lifetime of Kaeya. I believe that Caribert's curse was broken and he reverted back into a child in the last 20 years, becoming Kaeya. Seeing that breaking the curse was possible, Chlothar broke the curse on himself and left the world fulfilled, and left Kaeya with Diluc's father to live a peaceful life, or to further the plan of Loom of Fate. Loom of Fate could either be some "evil plan" as it sounds like, or a plan to counter fate and has achieved it's first success by reverting the curse of Khaenri'ah.

By the time thwy were freed, the 7 nations were already established for thousands of years. HoYo has a thing for the number 7, but there is no correlation between them

Correct me if I'm wrong but in the windblume of I think last year, it's revealed Kaeya knows atleast a bit of Hillichurl language as he was writing a "love letter" in Venti's class. Not gonna strongly hold this as evidence for the Kaeya is Caribert theory but was this ever explained or even just brought up ever again?

I've got a crazy theory. What if... stay with me... Cryo Archon stands for LIFE. Kaya aquires his vision when he has to defend his life Qiqi gets life on death. Abyss is comming something atrocious is comming, that's why Tsaritsa gather's as much power as possible, Venti said that Archon's power is dependent on devotion of their followers and who has more fanatical followers than Cryo Archon? Kha'enria apears to have strong ties to the abyss they despise gods yet look for strength in something quasi divine. But abyss seems to be able only to corrupt, create anti-life. That's what ticks Tsaritsa life MUST prevail, that's why she in act of desperation reaches for dirty tricks like horryfying Doctors experiments (black goo maybe trying to find cure), dellusions and stealing Gnosis all in hope to save all life in Teyvat.

this quest solidified my theory that the twins' places are interchangeable in the story not just from a gameplay point, but in the world of teyvat itself. I think at some point, we'll find ourselves on the side of the abyss after our twin has had their memory wiped and put back at the beginning of the story in mondstadt. perhaps this loop happened so many times that it's starting to break apart?

Dain very directly calls Kaeya "descendent of the Abyss Order's founder." So at present Kaeya being the progeny of Chlothar's siblings feels less likely. My guess is either Caribert or the "first son(going off Caribert being second)" which would be Chlothar's legitimate heir that he probably thought he lost. Chlothar doesn't seem like he would have had any extra kids after Caribert? He seemed to have loved Caribert and Caribert's mother enough that he was buried right next to her. So, leaving the possibility of Chlothar having more kids-post Caribert aside for now, that leaves Caribert himself and the potential legitimate Alberich that would assumedly still be a pure blood. Said legitimate Alberich could in theory have gone on to have kids leading to Kaeya, but this would mean either Kaeya's a pure blood, which he doesn't seem to be going off his eyes compared to others like Dain, Chlothar, Halfdan, etc. or Kaeya's mixed, which if the legit Alberich did have mixed kids down the line, I think they would most likely be afflicted with the curse and turned into Hilichurls without any currently known contact between them and the Abyss Order/Chlothar over the years? Chlothar himself is the one who found a way to die despite the curse of immortality, leaving your Twin to take the throne as Abyss Prince/Abyss Princess. This is a bit of a stretch, but I'd like to think Chlothar also found a way to make Caribert human again. Personally, at the moment, I think I subscribe to the thought that Kaeya is probably Caribert's descendent. If Kaeya is from Caribert's lineage and not actually Caribert himself, it's worth noting that Kaeya's eyes are a bit darker than Chlothar's, actually about the same color as Jean's and Barbara's, even. We know Caribert was born to Chlothar and a Mondstadt woman, so if said Mond woman was perhaps a Gunnhildr, that would explain both Kaeya's eyes having a smaller star compared to pure bloods, serving as proof he's mixed, as well as having similar eye colors to Jean and Barbara. This is purely speculation, of course, but it'd be hilariously on point if it was another hint Hoyo left in plain sight for years that wasn't relevant until something like a reveal of who the Mond woman Chlothar fell in love with was. Also, the Abyss Twin being called Prince or Princess of Khaenri'ah is it's own can of worms, since they were apparently royalty in Khaenri'ah and not just in the Abyss Order's hierarchy. Chlothar was apparently too low in status to ever interact with the Twin? It seems to suggest that Pierro, who lived with the Twin, was perhaps of much higher standing?

The *sinners* are all that's left, and they're not worth mentioning.” It’s interesting that Kaeya has had this voiceline since the beginning of the game and we now know that the voice is the ‘great sinner.’ Kaeya definitely knows a lot more than he lets on. - he didn’t answer Paimon’s question if he was part of the abyss order, merely that it was too serious of a conversation. - even though it was said he didn’t know about his family’s origins, he didn’t seem that shocked about his family being founder’s of the abyss. - his voiceline about Fischl which has now changed from ‘future royal progeny’ to a ‘descendant of a *former* royal lineage.’ What’s interesting about that quote is that the Dyansty of the abyss order is still active with our sibling being the abyss prince/princess. So if Kaeya is referencing the abyss order that is not a former dynasty. The only former dynasty is the Eclipse Dynasty. Perhaps Kaeya is still related to the Eclipse Dynasty in a way we are still unaware of. This quest was very short but I felt like it was a solid foundation to establish how significant the Alberich’s are into finding more about the truth of this world and of Khaenri’ah. Overall I’m very excited to see how Kaeya’s story will go and also if we one day meet Kaeya’s father one day and if he will tell us more.

A rather interesting detail that got skimmed over here was that the "Traveller" heard the crystal call themselves a Sinner and tells Eide as much when he starts worshipping them. Hes furious and shouts blasphemy to start, but after their dissapearance takes on that term like its even more proof of how different this being is from Teyvat's gods. Kaeya, who is descended from him but was seemingly quite young when his father separated him from whatever influence the Abyss Order had over their lives, distinctly uses the term sinners to refer to Khaenri'ahns in a way that may well be a left over from how he was raised - its been on my mind since the Caribert quest that for Kaeya to exist at all "Eide" must have had more kids after losing Caribert and going off the deep end, ans it seems likely that he had those kids with a purpose in mind. Im fairly certain that the Abyss Order includes a cult of the immortal pureblood Khaenri'ahns seeking revenge creating more generations among themselves, its kind of the only way i can imagine Kaeya existing with such a close connection to Kharnriah before leaving yet seemingly never having been near the country itself before. The sinner term could be a part of the lines of thought that have been developed by the cult over the centuries that was just an accepted thing to say around him as a child

Ok here me out, how about, kaeya’s father is an older man and much more mature voice, probably after breaking the curse and aging normally. Around this time he also was able to relive his son caribert into a human, kaeya. And we don’t know exactly when the body was buried under the farm but it doesn’t take long for decomposed bodies to become nothing but bones. And this also would make sense that he sent kaeya to monstat because his mother was from the city of anemo. Another key is that kaeya was left in mond with albedo and his brother. Their creator is theorized to be part of the abyss order or at least helping them. That would make sense of the 2 creator ties to each other. And finally we don’t know what happened to cariberts mother, maybe she fled to mondstat, waited for her lover, and when he came with child kaeya they were almost to death so they returned to sumeru and died. I don’t know how cariberts mother survived and this last one is a far fetched one but I still think it’s a possibility. I’m you had albedos creator and cariberts father as alchemist.

why do i feel like the windblume event from before has connections with the third question in this video ("is kaeya caribert")? the event where kaeya had to write down a letter and that he wrote words that hilichurls use, "mi muhe ye" which venti mentioned that it means 'i love you', but it can also be conveyed as 'i triumph you' which also takes me back to the defiled statue of mondstadt. I think The Sinner is God of Monster aka Ruler of Abyss and probably The darkness element archon . Maybe all the archon and heavenly principal sealed him since je became so powerful that they can't kill him .. In other instances, like the chasm, people without a vision had a hard time getting close to abyssal energy, while the traveler had no problem at all. Why was it the other way around this time? If we assume that Caribert died in that energy burst, it would mean that the dark energy doesn't stop people from dying. And if you rewatch that scene, Clothar is slightly closer to Caribert than the traveler. My guess is that the energy was transmitted to Clothar in that burst, which is why he didn't get knocked out, and why he could get the traveler back home, it is also why he could reweave his fate and die. I think the abyss order is trying to summon/recreate the voice and tap into that energy, which is why they keep doing weird shit like the defiled statue.

The sinner gave some dark energy to Chlother when we first visited the crystal. It's possible it might be because of that.

@@haseebbarya8294 It could be, I assumed the energy went directly to bless the medicament, the way it would have worked with the statue's blessing, but the energy could have been passed on to Clothar too, which would make more sense because he knew he wouldn't need the blessing of the statue anymore

That whole talk about the curse of halfblood and fullblood khaenri'ens made me wonder that maybe the reason khaenri'ha got destroyed is related to their Origins? We know that Khaenri'ens are different from people from the other nations and as said in the archon quest, all khaenri'ens descend from the same bloodline but who was it? Was it maybe one of the decenders? Another 'godly' being? Or maybe even from the dark entity that the traveler calls a "sinner"? This would also maybe explain why our sibling was the prince/princess or khaenri'ha. Maybe since khaenri'ens decended from a decender and our sibling is one as well they wanted to make them their leader which then maybe tied their fate to this world in some way???

I have a theory. Call it stupid but its just ny opinion. (In story sun and moon) Before when the 7 dragon used to rule everything was chaos. Then someone came defeat the dragon bring peace. He made 4 leader where i think unknown God is one of them. Then another one came and everything was ruin again. What if the 2nd person is the sinner. Came spread chaos made people into monsters. But manipulate people that its the 1st person doing and he's helping them find peace. Just like greater lord and Scarlet king. Ok Kaeya being Caribert is a mind blowing theory, especially since the main issue with it has an easy explanation - the man who claimed to be his father actually wasnt, Clothar probably long dead by the time he was reborn however that happened. That man was the one who raised him before leaving him in Mondstadt, possibly against whatever wishes the Abyss Order initially had for him, possibly completely in line with them if they truly plan him to be a double agent
