Naw, there isny. Most people in Scotland have blue eyes and blonde hair except from the Highlands but all lowlands and dominated by Germanic people. 1600 years of Germanic peoples from Angles, Saxones, Vikings and their countrymen from all over the Nordic lands then the Normans who were Nordic of origin, Robert the big bad boy bruce was of norman descent. The Highlands have more celts and gaelic speakers than anywhere in Scotland but they are a minority. Ireland has more red heads than us, probably because they have far more Celts than us but who cares anyways. You could be white, black, brown, pink and blue, yer hair could be white, yellow, red, purple or orange, you could speak latin, english, french, mongolian or even martian and you are still Scottish to me. Scotland isny any more Celtic than it is Germanic nor is it anymore Irish than it is Nordic. We aw should know by now that there is no native Britons on the British mainland, the last true Britons that remain are those that live in Brittany in North Western France, hence the name Brittany.

Apparently its also to do with reduced agricultural run off in the west scotland. In other areas like the east coast scotland, england and wales there is higher farming density and the nitrogen based fertilisers enter the water course and makes the drinking water worse.

Speaking of traveling and doodling - when I was in Japan (and when I have the time and opportunity while travelling in general), one of my favorite things to do has become just sitting in a really striking or peaceful or interesting or whatever place for about 5 minutes and making a short little sketch of the area. Just a super short, imperfect sketch, but it really was a nice way to take in a bit of whatever moment I may be having in a place I'm visiting, and enjoy it as a fleeting little experience. Plus art is cool in being able to translate how you see something onto a page. Either way, highly recommend.

Love this intro song! I stayed in Leith while honeymooning in Edinburgh. It was such a pleasure to visit and wander through the city on our way back to the lighthouse AirBnB in Leith. Your video reminds me of my time there just wandering and getting lost with my husband. Gorgeous!

I think that what you will find is that there are more Scottish people living in Glasgow than there are in Edinburgh. That will be why you found more red-heads in Glasgow :-)

Historically too, the Edinburgh coast had the same Anglo Saxon invasion as England, besides all those trendy modern migrants.

Hi Cari, I love all your vlogs, but as a Scot in Canada who has lived outside the country for 35 years, I have to say that you really did Scotland justice! You were also SO so lucky with the weather! I can't wait to see your second Scotland video.

Hey this was great to watch, nice to see some nice shots from visitors here. I love taking my American friends touring around when they visit. In contrast, I've actually been uber keen on moving to San Diego, place looks awesome. Come back again, we're a people of culture and community!

I visited Glasgow & Edinburgh last year! My dad's from Glasgow and I immediately felt at home, really loved it and want to go back soon. Btw! At the Kelvingrove very Sunday around 2pm there's an organ recital, I just so happened to be there at the right time- it's absolutely beautiful and lasts about 40 minutes💞

Glad that u showed the gems of both Glasgow and Edinburgh. Both cities have a different attitude and it's good to experience. Across the from the necropols is the oldest building in glasgow - Provans lodge. If you come to see us, come see the necropolis ( city of the dead whooooo) Hello from Glasgow. Xx
