I’m catching up & getting a moment to write to you. First of all, thank you for your book channel, it was like finding a secret chamber in a goldmine that is full of even more amazing 💎 gems! I’ve been reading your recommendations & loving my reading time again. Next- just wanted to share this in relation to your bed chat about the anxiety, and such. So anxiety for me is at its core - broke down=- fear. Usually lack of control/unknown/ based fears. But I heard something I thought you’d appreciate. One way I’ve dealt with anxiety is by accepting fear. I just watched this interview with an author and I wish I could give credit to her but can’t recall her name atm. But my takeaway was she said every single time she sits down to write, she has fear. The way she deals with it is she imagines as she starts to write she’s in a car and she’s got her creativeness, joy etc all packed up happily ready in the seats near her but she also makes sure to put fear in the backseat (I crack myself up imagining putting it in a car seat) and just from the start of the journey- allowing it to go along for the ride- and it’ll pop up and have its outbursts but she’s not surprised because she’s like oh yea that’s just fear back there doing what it always does and it’ll settle down eventually.... That just clicked for me! Somehow, just accepting from the beginning that fear is coming along for the ride - lessens it’s power over me. It allows me to put it in its place from the start rather than getting along into the journey and having a horror moment of some stranger in my happy car! Thanks for all your vlogs - they are special and I save them for moments I can relax and enjoy.

First off, I’m so sorry for your loss. Second, totally get not wanting to film your time with your family. I’m actually so glad you didn’t and you just spent that time with them in the moment. Now that I’m vaccinated I finally met up with a friend and didn’t pick up my phone for 5 hours and it was glorious 🙌🏽 Cant wait to see your New York vlog!!

Cari, it’s so funny you mentioned Namjoon while you were in New Hope because Namjoon was THERE in 2019 to visit the Nakashima wood shop! Joon tweeted about it and it ended up in one of the BTS documentaries. The first time I realized it I freaked out because I have extended family in the area (Frenchtown too!). Glad your other viewers can see some of the beautiful small towns between NYC and Philly.

Not sure why you were worried at the end, this was just as great as all your vlogs, which I always look forward to watching with my Sunday morning coffee here in Seoul! But it was rather bittersweet for me, as I am a New Jersey native with family living in South NJ (Cape May) and near Philly, especially talking about our famous corn (and tomatoes ;) and the best pizza. But what made me shed a tear was when you mentioned the mental health benefits and 'resetting', because like you, I haven't been home now in exactly 2 years (Aug '19). But I just got my first vaccination a few days ago so I am grateful that I can start planning a visit home before the end of 2021! Glad you had a busy but experience-filled visit, that you reconnected with family, had delicious food, that your parents found a nice new place and I remember the feeling of returning to ROK after sometime home - after living here for over 5 yrs now - mixed emotions, but I'm sure you missed Kurt and kimchi ;) so welcome back, too! Looking forward to the NY vlog. Thanks for sharing and helping me start my Sundays off positive!

Cari, I know you've mentioned before that you're expecting to lose viewers if you ever move away from Korea, but I really think that's not going to be the case for most of us. I live in Pennsylvania (not too far from Bucks County actually, so I had a laugh at the Signs reference because yeah, PA is mostly just corn in some areas😂), but even though the Pennsylvania content was so familiar to me, I enjoyed it just as much as any of your vlogs, because of the way you portrayed it and showed cute little highlights of your time here. So what I mean to say is, this vlog confirms that I came for the Korea vlogs and am staying for the Cari vlogs. 💕

I can't imagine living so far away and having to say goodbye to your childhood home and then help your parents move out and to a new place on the other side of the country. I hope you allow yourself to grieve. Also, the juxtaposition of that with also being able to see so many people you haven't been able to see in so long! And the first time you see your parents in forever is when they are moving from CA to NJ/PA. So many feels! I'm so glad your parents found a new house they like, and pray that your flight back to Korea was safe and easy! Take care!!

As someone with anxiety, it helps me a lot to plan out my day or week in advance, I like to be in control of what’s happening. So when things happen to me and it messes up my plans and now idk what I’m doing, it can be very hard and disorienting. In that way I understand how you feel, although I don’t film things for KZbin, and I send my support💜 Anyways I really appreciate the clips you were able to film, the vibes are immaculate, and I’m so glad you had a chance to reconnect with family/friends. Ever since I was born, my family and I lived in this big house. I lived with my grandma, my uncle, and then my parents, and siblings. We all grew up there, a very typical Filipino/Asian household. And then there came the day that we had to move out because we needed the money. I was 14 then. I was about to start high school for the first time and it was also my first time studying in a co-ed school because I came from a very exclusive all-girls school. And then, my mom decided to move in a small like super small apartment room with all five of us, my parents, me, and my siblings, and I remember even if I was so sad that we were about to leave our old home, I still have the fondest memories of that apartment we lived in. It was so small, but I started my teenage years there. In that small room, I also realised what I wanted to be when I grow up (a radio dj!). There were so many changes, it was super overwhelming for someone stepping onto their first teenage years. When we moved to our now-house, I started to miss all these moments when we used to live in our big house and all of that. I missed the place where I used to live, where I grew up, I missed the friends that I've made, and I still do think about everything at times. But now that I'm older, turning 27 this year, I just look at those memories and feel like I'm just looking at an old best friend that has now become a stranger, but you know that that you've had the best memories with that friend of yours, even if they're somewhat different to you now. And whenever we had to visit where my house used to be in, because some of our relatives were our neighbors, it is so unrecognizable now because they rebuilt a new house. But you know that the first house that stood there was yours. Kinda bittersweet

Finally got to watch this video -- so happy to see you enjoy Bucks County in all its weird glory and hope your parents love their new home :) Check out Solebury Orchards next time; they make the best apple cider in the area.

loved halloweentown when I was young. it really put me in that halloween mood. also, the places you visited just looked like those old american films, thanks for bringing us along. you didn't have to so I really appreciate the effort. :) take care, cari!

I think thats why i romanticize the east coast so much is because it looks like classic america as opposed to where im from in California hahha

Thank you for taking us on this journey 'home' with you. I really enjoyed all the sights you've shown us and I am glad that you...somewhat, sorta took a break from filming while there? I think I am beginning to miss 'Cari's Time in the US' and Louie already 😟

OMG Chitch’s!! I just moved away from NJ after having lived there my whole life and I was a Chitch’s regular. I think about and miss it all the time.

Such a nice vlog , watching you namjooning and exploring New Jersey (such a lovely state!) with Louis and your family ❤️ I always feel a bit anxious/weird at the end of summer : saying goodbye to family, going back to school (as a teacher !), the transition between seasons... Just need some time to readjust. Luckily, I love autumn too 🍁 🧣☕ Love from France

The area looks so beautiful! You can really see that british cottage influence (is that accurate to say? Some really remind me of the houses I saw in Great Britain). :) I'm glad you got to spend time with your family and it's totally fine that you focused on them instead of vlogging, also very sorry for your loss.
