we just placed a CT, we immediately filled the first two chambers and half way up the 3d chamber, I just changed the whole assembly out, no wonder my 130-lb lung CA pt couldn't breath. My first chest tube 2 am semi-emergent. dark red/brown thin fluid. looked for a video real fast to see if we did it right... Thanks

How do you chart the output?

Great question! I will use a permanent marker and mark the drainage output section every 4 hours and update my flow sheet on my computer for charting purposes Hope this help! Xxx, Nurse Tina
