The CARISMA GT24's go really well with a UDIRC 7.4 volt li-ion battery, strapped to the top of the chassis under the body shell by a large thick black elastic band strapped over Crossed diagonally over the battery to under the bottom of the chassis, ( buy from amazon ). I also stuck a 50x30mm 3M sticky pad on top of the chassis over the aerial wire too protect it, with the aerial wire stuck down the middle on top of the chassis, with the aerial wire sticking out towards the rear of the chassis. At the bottom side front of the chassis where the battery cover is, where the original battery goes, i cut a little square of plastic off the bottom side front of the chassis to expose the battery connector so it can connect to the external battery to the outside side of the chassis, so that it can connect to the UDIRC 7.4 volt li-ion battery to the outside side of the chassis, ( so you can still keep the battery cover in place ). You then connect the connector that connects to the UDIRC 7.4 volt li-ion battery connector that is strapped to the top of the chassis, while also can charge the battery without having to unstrap the battery from the top of the chassis. The bog standard very small NIMH battery is an absolute piece of china crap, so don't use it. The car is capable of spinning its wheels accelerating away with the UDIRC 7.4 volt li-ion battery . Just be careful how you steer the it , and dont steer it hard at high / full speed, because its going to roll over like a real rally car, 🤣. The UDIRC 7.4 volt battery can last a long time, especially if you don't run the car at full throttle. An official UDIRC 7.4 volt li-ion battery only costs around £10 British pounds, cheaper than a lipo that has less run time than a UDIRC 7.4 volt li-ion battery . The GT24RS version you are showing here, needs some cutting around the front wheel arches so the that the wheels can turn fully without scraping on the arches . I also stuck a 50x30mm 3M sticky pad ( buy from amazon ) to the battery connector side to the inside of the body side panal to protect the battery cable from any kind of possible cable rub, as it keeps the battery cable a bit tighter as well as more protection from any possible battery cable rubbing.

@@fogcityrc4874 Cheers, no problem. You might have to read it all again, as i was still and just finished editing now, as to make sure i said everything i did for this battery modification, as its not so easy putting it all down in words so its understandable enough as to the basic modification i did. I Just finished editing it and going through it all again . So i hope you can understand it properly, so you can do the same battery modification. You could actually also use any 2s lipo that would fit on top of the chassis inside the body shell. But you also do not want any bigger battery too heavy for the cars chassis standard suspension either . The UDIRC 7.4 volt battery is also lighter than a 2s lipo of a similar or slightly larger size. You can go with any slightly larger battery option you wish or want, as long as it has the BEC connection, and as long as the battery is not heavy so that it weighs down the cars suspension and bottoms it out, when running the car on a smooth road, or smooth surface etc .

This thing is cool... But can you control its speed? Can you drive it really slowly as a crawler?
