Damn, that's slow loading. I use to slam the round into the tube as far as possible, then align the little tab into the guiding hole, and press home the round. With that method, we kept up a pretty decent firing rate in a 16 hour fire fight. (My English is not the best, so I kept it simple)

Totally obsolete weapon on the modern battlefield, fine for softskin vehicles and light positions but useless on advancing Russian armour which is what it's intended for.
@artilleryfire65763 жыл бұрын
thats where you are wrong
@titter36483 жыл бұрын
That is not what it is intended for. At least not today. It is perfect for enemy behind cover with airburst, or for light bunkers, and so on.
@Pablo-ji7in3 жыл бұрын
@@titter3648 that's why it's obsolete now, it's purely an attacking force weapon and no use in a defensive role against modern equipment. Nato forces in Europe are primarily defensive, the cold war is over but the biggest threat still comes from Russia. Good piece of kit in its day but the battlefield has modernised which is why this kind of stuff is no longer used by better equipped countries.

I was an 84mm commander, this weapon when bore sighted properly is extremely accurate. When the gunner were challenged with Cornetto ice cream reward, they could hit a plate 20cmx20cm at 450m, repeatedly.
@ruedigerbehr10 жыл бұрын
Dennis LOW wow, then the weapon is much more accurate than the German Panzerfaust 3. Even the sight was horrible to place exact shots. If you hit a tank at 300 Meter you was very lucky.
@gencast10 жыл бұрын
main difference is that the Panzerfaust round is outside the barrel like an RPG. While the 84mm goes through a rifled barrel. This makes alot of difference in the accuracy.
@ruedigerbehr10 жыл бұрын
So you think that the famous RPG 7 from Russia has the same low accurancy like the Panzerfaust. Unfortunately I never shot with the RPG 7. Do you ever shot with ? Thanks for sharing your experience.

You can choose when it's gonna explode. We turned it to "5"(That's 500m). Then the round will explode in the air at 500 meter, and shoot out pellets over the target.
@MonMalthias9 жыл бұрын
Seems as though the design of the Venturi permits the rim of the ammunition to get caught against it in loading. I wonder if a top or side break hinge would be better than that swivel. Or maybe the Venturi just wasn't being swung out far enough.
@tifius9 жыл бұрын
+MonMalthias Nah if it's open there is no way to catch the round on the venturi. There is a small piece of metal in the actual tube right at the back that slots into the round though. This means the round can only enter the tube if it's correctly rotated and sometimes causes the round to get stuck before it's correctly inserted. An experienced loader will find the matching slot on the round and insert it with the correct orientation to prevent this from happening. This little aligning piece is there to keep the round aligned correctly so the firing pin hits the primer on the round.

maybe this weapon is effective in reality but when you use it in "Battlefield two" (bad company) it doesn't work both against T90 and Abrahms tank. When you strike on the side of the tank it makes little damage. In addition it has a very short range.
@michaelk9806 жыл бұрын
Who cares? That is a *game* you are talking about. Be damned glad that is not in any way realistic or you would quickly find that a squishy little infantry soldier vs a main battle tank equals Chunky Salsa... which does not make for fun gameplay.

@bengtmowitz50123 жыл бұрын
You get an very high pressure inside the tank, actually crushing all organs in the body that contains atmospheric pressure (eyes, lungs, etcetera) and the gas caused by the penetrating matter is highly contagious. The vehicle may very well work after a penetrating hit, but the personnel won't!

Is that little cloud on the path of the projectile caused by breaking the sound barrier?
@roku_nine4 жыл бұрын
Interesting point. I think it's the projectile detonation primer firing judging by the fact that the smoke/cloud still linger in the air afterwards. Condensation due to low pressure when passing from transonic to supersonic speed would instantly disappear. My thoughts.
@AllisterCaine4 жыл бұрын
MasterMAT is right.... And my guess it is just a tracer so you can see the trajectory of the projectile.
@titter36483 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing it's a booster charge to increase the range going of a safe distance after it has left the barrel. If it was from going supersonic that would have been at the muzzle because it does not gain any speed after that.
