The background piano music is way too loud and quite distracting. I wish you would release this with either a very low volume, more meditative music, or with no music at all. Never more true or is this phrase that many times it’s hard to see the forest for the trees. It is very difficult to listen to your wonderful message with a cacophony of banging piano music that covers and distracts from the very message you are trying to share.

ITS A STORY ALL ABOUT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! The story of David and Goliath, as depicted in the Bible, is often interpreted as a metaphorical battle between good and evil, with David representing the underdog ANTI HERO... HUMANITY NOT KNOWING WHO THEY ARE...fighting against a formidable opponent. When exploring this story through a Kabbalistic perspective and incorporating Neville Goddard's teachings, we can delve into a deeper understanding of its spiritual significance. In Kabbalah, the concept of God is often portrayed as an infinite and transcendent force, encompassing all of creation. The false gods mentioned in this context refer to any limited or distorted beliefs or concepts that humans may idolize or worship instead of recognizing the true divine essence within themselves and all of creation. These false gods can take various forms, such as material possessions, ego-driven desires, or societal constructs that promote separation and illusion. David, in this interpretation, symbolizes the Christ consciousness or the divine essence within every individual. He represents the recognition of one's inherent divinity and the willingness to align with and express that divinity in the world. Goliath, on the other hand, represents the false gods or illusions that obstruct the realization of one's true spiritual nature. Neville Goddard, a prominent teacher of New Thought philosophy, emphasized the power of imagination and the creative capacity of the human mind. According to his teachings, our thoughts and beliefs shape our reality, and by consciously directing our thoughts towards the realization of our desires, we can manifest them in our lives. In the context of David and Goliath, Neville Goddard's teachings can be seen as a reminder of the transformative power of our inner consciousness. David's victory over Goliath can be understood as the triumph of divine consciousness over the illusions of the world. By aligning with the truth of their divine nature and using the power of imagination, individuals can overcome their personal Goliaths, the false gods that inhibit their spiritual growth and fulfillment. This interpretation suggests that the battle between David and Goliath is not an external conflict between two individuals, but an internal struggle within each person's consciousness. It emphasizes the importance of recognizing and challenging the false gods or limiting beliefs that hinder one's spiritual evolution and the realization of their true potential. In summary, when examining the story of David and Goliath through a Kabbalistic lens and incorporating Neville Goddard's teachings, we can perceive it as a metaphorical representation of the eternal battle between the Christ consciousness within us and the false gods or illusions that separate us from our divine nature. By cultivating a deep understanding of our inherent divinity and harnessing the power of our thoughts and imagination, we can transcend limitations and manifest a life aligned with our true spiritual essence.

Thanks for this video. I have studied Jung for many years and have found it helpful and enlightening. Some of it can seem dauntingly complex at first. But as I get older it seems that the deep truth is not accessible by the mind, as stimulating and interesting as this can be. The intellect will only get us so far though. One of the most spiritually evolved people I have ever met left school at 14. In my experience ultimately, the deep core of meaning is actually very simple and accessible to all. Love. It can be possibly summed up by "Love God with all your mind, all your soul and all your strength. And love everyone as you love yourself." Simple. But challenging to really put it into practise. Peace to all.

In 2022 while doing dishes at the kitchen sink, I had a vision that my son died. It was a horrible and painful visual thought, I remember it well I shook my head and silently prayed oh God never never allow me to suffer such loss, I could not survive losing my child. 3 months later I got the call my son was killed in an accident. This is real folks. Of course I'm still suffering from the loss of my son. There is a living intelligent force within and without humanity. Capable of informing us of future events. I continue the struggle to integrate this into my lived experience, with much difficulty.😢 Thank you for this video series It has brought me some comfort to know others have had similar experiences. I'm feeling called maybe even encouraged to do some deep self exploration. Blessing to all

experiencing "truth" gaining mercy through an experience that cannot be described is like a dream that you try to remember just for the details to slip away, the fact that there are no words to describe this phenomenon, and as my brain tries to make connections with the subject and jungs work, i feel my flawed judgement perversely simplifying the concept to try and articulate it. this old swiss guy rules

The experience is very indescribable isnt it. I sit here now trying to hold on to the thoughts & what it means, how do I explain these thoughts. I also have to retain that it’s also a feeling!!! & not to let that feeling die but how do I keep hold of a feeling that is new & has no words to describe it.

"Therefore give people dignity and let them each stand apart, so that each may find his own fellowship and love it" is a testament to new tribalism. Felt the need to point that out. The supreme meaning isn't necessarily about coming to terms with our differences politically or in beliefs, but about coming to terms with the fact that we are not going to come to terms (re: Jung's shadow work). Important framing.

That is an extremely powerful and profound concept. That is what makes this new pope so repellent; he is a man who is captive of the spirit of the times and devoid of the spirit of the depths. That has always been something I have felt that there is a deeper force that transcends the temporal shifts of modern society. Something eternal that beats within us all.

I just found your channel this evening, and just now watched Lecture 1 on Carl Jung's RED BOOK. Despite using different terminology than I'm used to, I know exactly what you are talking about in the lecture, and what Jung was referring to in the quotes and explanations you gave. Over the past three years, I've concentrated on readings of the Christian mystical tradition, reading such mystics as Thomas Merton, Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, the book the Cloud of Unknowing, Jeanne Guyon, Julian of Norwich, among others. There's also the "mystical" insights of the Apostle Paul (e.g., when he said in Galatians, "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me...") And when Jesus taught that as he and the Father are one, that we and he are one, so that he, the Father, and we are one. As you described Jung's concept of the spirit of the depths, I found it strongly reminiscent of Teresa of Avila's book THE INTERIOR CASTLE and the journey to (literally) the depths of our soul where we will find Christ -- which Jung called "the supreme meaning." There are many parallels between what Jung described in RED BOOK and the insights and discoveries of the Christian mystics: the epiphany of Christ's presence within us, which is parallel to Jung's comment about the "numinous beginning;" the idea of sacrifice of the ego (or the "self" or "flesh" in Christian terms); the apparent loneliness of the path to an encounter and experience of the spirit of the depths is analogous to the path the mystic takes to move from "knowledge about God" to "knowledge of or experience of God;" to the comparable idea of the tension between the spirit of the times (found in the ego) and the spirit of the depths, which many Christian mystics have referred to as the tension between the "false self" (the ego, the self-image of ourselves which has been shaped by our parents, the society and culture, and is the mask we wear and the disguise we use in how we show up in the world), and the "True Self" which is "Christ in me." At this point, I'm not interested in pulling anyone who watches your videos into see them through a Christian mystical lens, but I conclude that there is a lot of overlap between Jung's insights when he compiled what became the RED BOOK and the insights of Christian mystics. Jung spoke of his discovery of truths here in the vocabulary of psychology, while the mystics spoke in terms of theology. This overlap of understanding, while using different terms to describe what's going on, is actually an overlap of science and spirituality. I'll be working through all of your lectures and conversations.

TLDR: Jung's exploration of the unconscious and his conversations with the dead led him to discover the importance of embracing the spirit of the depths and finding the supreme meaning in life through the integration of opposites. 1. 00:00 📖 Carl Jung's Red Book, also known as Liber Novus, is a collection of handwritten works representing his personal experiment in the depths of his mind, providing the framework for his analytical psychology and was released to the public 50 years after his death. 1.1 Carl Jung's red book is a mysterious and magical work that begins with a quote from Isaiah, and it is important to understand how it came to be. 1.2 Carl Jung's Red Book, also known as Liber Novus, is a collection of handwritten works with beautiful imagery that represents his personal experiment in the depths of his mind, providing the framework for his analytical psychology and was released to the public 50 years after his death. 1.3 Carl Jung started his journey with his unconscious in his personal journals known as the black books, dropping hints about the red book and the text "Septem Sermones ad Mortuos" being a summary revelation of the red book experience, which he believed people couldn't accept in his time. 1.4 Jung carefully organized his new book to provide new information on alchemy and spirituality, beginning with passages from the Bible, to convey a philosophical, spiritual, psychological, religious, and mental journey. 2. 06:08 📖 Carl Jung introduces the concept of two different spirits, the spirit of the times and the spirit of the depths, in his Red Book, providing confidence in his pursuit of inner truth. 2.1 A man of sorrows and grief, despised and rejected, yet bearing our griefs and sorrows, the son given to us, the word made flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth. 2.2 Isaiah's prophecy about the wilderness blooming and bringing joy, with the blind seeing, the deaf hearing, the lame leaping, and the dumb singing, as written by Carl Jung. 2.3 In 1915, Carl Jung introduces the concept of two different spirits, the spirit of the times and the spirit of the depths, and the Red Book helped provide confidence in his pursuit of inner truth. 3. 09:36 🔍 Jung followed his unconscious, making contact with the unknown inner voice, balancing the spirit of the times and the spirit of the depths for psychological growth. 3.1 Jung sacrificed his pride and went into the unknown, following his unconscious against all he had learned, unable to repress or deny what gripped him. 3.2 The spirit of the depths possesses greater power than the spirit of the times, and Jung's curiosity led him to make contact with this unknown inner voice, marking the beginning of his transformation. 3.3 The spirit of the times represents the culture of today, focused on judgment, accomplishment, and order, while the spirit of the depths is an objective, non-judgmental spirit that is expansive, infinite, and unchanging. 3.4 The spirit of the times and the spirit of the depths are both necessary and important to each other, with the ego representing the spirit of the times and the self representing the spirit of the depths. 3.5 The ego and the spirit of the times must be balanced with the spirit of the depths for psychological growth. 4. 15:49 🔍 The spirit of the depths led to a loss of joy in science, Jung experienced a state of suspension and explored the concept of the supreme meaning as the essence of all god images. 4.1 The spirit of the depths stripped away meaning and belief in science, leading to a loss of joy in explaining and ordering things, and a lack of devotion to contemporary ideas. 4.2 The theme of uniting opposites into wholeness is the running theme throughout Jung's work, as he experienced a state of suspension and something alive within him speaking through him. 4.3 The supreme meaning is the path and bridge of what is to come, it is an image and force, the beginning and end, connecting everything into one big aha moment. 4.4 Jung explores the concept of the supreme meaning as the essence of all god images, emphasizing its eternal nature and underlying force. 5. 20:33 🔮 Recognize the supreme meaning, conquer arrogance, and embrace sacrifice as the foundation for what is to come. 5.1 Work through the concepts and order the chaos, recognizing the greatness of the supreme meaning and conquering arrogance. 5.2 The depths within you hold all the mysteries of becoming and passing away, and intuition comes from within. 5.3 Laughter is lower than worship, and without the right measure, one is living an illusion disconnected from the reality of experience. 5.4 The depths want young to see that his entire state of being has been the wrong measure, and sacrifice is the foundation stone of what is to come. 6. 26:14 🔮 The merging of conscious and unconscious, ego and self, sense and nonsense, is essential for personal psychological growth and finding the supreme meaning, along with the power of speaking in images and the importance of mercy in confronting the depths of the mind. 6.1 The merging of conscious and unconscious, ego and self, sense and nonsense, is essential for personal psychological growth and finding the supreme meaning. 6.2 The power of speaking in images and the importance of mercy in confronting the depths of the mind. 7. 29:31 🔮 Jung experiences a mercy from the unconscious, leading to a vision of a devastating flood and emphasizing the importance of following our own depths. 7.1 The unconscious provides mercy, giving belief and hope to not resist but to utter its word, allowing faith to jump into the abyss. 7.2 Jung experiences a mercy that cannot be explained, leading to a need for a visible sign, which he eventually receives, humbling and silencing him. 7.3 In 1913, Carl Jung had a vision of a devastating flood covering northern and low-lying lands from the North Sea to the Alps, causing widespread destruction and death. 7.4 Jung's journey into the unconscious revealed the living spirit of life, emphasizing the importance of following our own depths and inner strength. 8. 34:41 🌱 Trust in the power of love and community to overcome the chaos and imperfections of the world. 8.1 Live your own life, seek your own way, and find mutual love and community. 8.2 Power and contempt stand against love, but humanity should trust that life will find a better way despite the chaos and imperfections of the world.

I bought a copy of the Red Book years ago, but when I tried to read it, I have to admit, I didn’t quite get it. I love the paintings, however, and it sits on my counter top looking all lovely. But your explanations, interpretations, have really helped me to understand what he was doing. Especially since you also include some of Jung’s black book notations. Thank you so much for your work on this. You’ve opened my eyes, especially about killing the hero. What a revelation. I appreciate you. Thanks!

Dear Joseph, I appreciate and admire this lecture series so much! You have done a phenomenal job of presenting a spoken narrative, image story, deep concepts from Jung, and timelines, weaving Jung's words with your relevant explanations that convey so much, so accessibly! This resource has touched me and will no doubt touch so many. Thank you for this important work as it will support individual people to grow and to thereby support our collective to evolve.

Are you kidding? If you can not simultaneously experience the beauty of music and the beauty of thought, then maybe you should look to stillness.
@ezekielduran4386
@ezekielduran4386 Ай бұрын
@@julieshannon7269The music is poignant but sometimes too loud to hear the thought att all... When extra concentration by the listener is needed to distinguish a backtrack and the more important actual content we are interested in hearing then it is a failure of production which sadly makes it unwatchable... I've tried before... Tried again... After months... But twenty minutes in it's too much... I'm loving the music no doubt... It's excellent for the content... However... When you can enjoy neither due to their weight (in terms of decibels or loudness in general) being out of balance, it creates such friction that the audience (myself and obviously others) cannot stand to continue watching/listening (struggling to listen to) the presentation, it's nothing less than a failure... The content is brilliant... The music is brilliant... But the effort in editing the presentation to be (for the audience) is what makes the whole thing garbage... Honestly I'm going to make a comment and ask him to repost it after some editing because there should be no struggle on the audiences part to enjoy what I'm sure is remarkable work... But as of now it's lackluster and sadly disappointing

i'm exceedingly grateful for your contribution. how even more lovely would my experience be without the piano accompaniment, but only because I am a highly sensitive type who is easily overstimulated; and so I must needs pause for several minutes at a time to recover from the pummeling beauty of the soundtrack. that i will continue to return until all is absorbed, which likely means several listens to each lecture, and all the enduring of background music which those multiple listens entails, testifies to the brilliance of your content. thank you for creating and uploading this series.

Jung was captured in his own mind, just like most psychologists… It is trying to understand something that does not exist… These are my hands, these are my eyes… This is my mind…. Who is the me that perceives all of this…. Give it any name and it turns into a personality… The biggest illusion of humanity…

WTF is going on right now. Wow. Feeling the collective un conscience right now. Humbled by this stage of my journey in my mind. This one is only my second intentional session and it's taken me on a beautiful opera. Im also self taught in everything I know. The list is a great one but it's not enough. I've gone through a series of tragedy and trials. I'm coming into my place. Fck, this journey has been just the way I thought it was going to be from a child and I'm still only trained in what I needed for the visions I had as a child cuz where I was was not where I wanted to be. ❤

I’ve experienced everything he talked about, during a mushroom trip I achieved ego death, and I had this sense the whole time that everything I thought just made sense, and it was true, but it wasn’t me, the mushrooms maybe somehow was able to turn off the ego mind and I was just an observer of the truth without the societal programming and biases who all grow to have. who was feeding me that through that I was able to achieve? Who knows, but I just remember thinking how profound everything I was thinking was. but I feel like that’s what Carl Jung talks about the supreme meaning. I remember for about 4 months I felt so weightless, no anxiety full of life energy, it was beautiful.

I also had a sense that what was gonna happen is gonna happen, that the universe already had it all planned out, so everything I was worrying about didn’t really matter because the universe already has a plan, god already has a plan for you, and the less you fight that, the better you live
@HumbleUMedia

Interesting. Thanks for sharing... I’ll add, Jung was sober and able to reach these places. Also, it’s impossible to kill the EGO, as the EGO is conscious experience. Maybe you were able to get out of your way because of the mushroom and allow something else through... but EGO death doesn’t make sense. There is a conscious and unconscious, EGO and Self. It takes a container, something, to allow the self to see itself. That’s EGO. So, if EGO death in your terms is just getting out of your way and opening to being... beautiful!! I will add, though, a sober experience of the divine is true being, as your not dependent on any chemical. It’s a gateway to pure Oneness. 😂 Much love 🙏♥️

@@HumbleUMedia no sir ego death was seeing everything I was trying to be, wanted to be, had to be, and realizing that’s not who I was, that was ego, it helped me surrender to the unknown as opposed to worrying, thinking and feeling like I had to be something or someone, I don’t need mushrooms to experience being as I meditate and know that it can be achieved without but it definitely was a tool to see the different inner dimensions and thought, like how ayahuasca culturally been used to heal mentally ill people, the truth is the truth wether you get there in a car or a boat

@28:55 & page 105 in the PDF of "The Red Book: A Reader's Edition" My speech is imperfect. Not because I want to shine with words, but out of the impossibility of finding those words, I speak in images. With nothing else can I express the words from the depths. ------ Instincts speak with gushes of chemical impulses in the body: The heart flutters in love, shoulders droop in disappointment, etc. Intuition/inspiration (incoming intelligence) speaks with image-thought bubbles: whole, complete concepts, or movies, played out before the mind's eye. These image-thought bubbles are instantly understood and known to be true by the mind. The receiving mind KNOWS and there is no laboring of thought to understand inspired ideas. Translating these image-thoughts into words to be communicated to others, and to one's self in the future as notes, is a task that requires communication skills and patience. The source of such inspiration will help pick each word, needling you when you get a word wrong, and leaving you with a sense of relief when you explain things satisfactorily. Sometimes, inspiring agents (your own or others' higher self, or lower self) have vocabularies that are extravagant and while some words they choose may be concise, they may still have to be traded in for simpler, but wordier terms, for a general audience. You translate your own inspiration so well! Thank you! @28:57 You said it! If you've been there and done that, you dig it! :D

This makes sense to me that we should search within. That mean No Guru/Sage/Life Coach/Spiritual teacher is needed. After all they’re human too, still in need of searching for the same thing we all search for, answers. No one living has found the prescription for living, only helpful roadmaps and guidance.
