This is an audio-only re-release of an old episode from 2018 from before I started doing video. So it is just the audio, but it was such a good episode that I wanted to release it here on KZbin for people who haven't listened to it yet.

As a person who swims between academic and astrological environments, lenses, and discourses, I really appreciate Dr. Rossi’s perspective. I’m about to teach intro to myth again, and now I want to assign this episode!

Great Chris Brennan! Both Jung and Roberto Assagioli were Astrologers and used it. You should have a talk with Mark Jones that would be a Masterpiece you two together💝 Light Energies 🌟

I just bought the digital (kindle) copy of Goddesses: Mysteries of the Divine Feminine (Campbell, edited by.. ^^^^) Digital is easier with bookmarks and searches. Goddess number is 3, but 9. (Why I wanted to re-read it, I knew I didn’t remember it completely) Example: I’m reading a book on The Morrigan which is 3 goddess sisters who represent a trinity that equals 9. They’re like Voltron. The Morrigan fit an archetype for Pluto extremely well, actually. A modern myth related: The Mothman of Point Pleasant fits the archetype. Not in the movie but in another book, the native myth of the mounds in the US (the serpent mound is by point pleasant) is they were made by small albino people and they view areas near the mounds as cursed. (Spring-heel Jack is another “Mothman” myth) This is a good episode, I was surprised it wasn’t on the KZbin channel after listening to it on iTunes.

1:48:27 I am in awe. This makes so much sense! Another thing connected to why Astrology works is what Bruce Scofield said in his interview: The solar system is a self-organizing system just like other forms of life ;)

I LOVE this episode. Jung and Astrology are two things I’m passionate about. What was really cool was the part on synchronicity when Chris talks about the clock on the wall saying it’s 5 o’clock and it was exactly 5pm on my clock!! Mind blown at THAT bit of synchronicity 🤯🤯🤯

Thank you both. I will try to find out more about synchronicity, the relationship between the inner and outer worlds.

I personally have been doing a lot of research on Jungian Archetypes and how they fit with not only the Zodiac but more specifically the AC/DC/MC/IC. Hopefully we can come to a universal understanding of psyche by applying what we know from astrology with what we know from depth psychology. This video is exactly what I was hoping for as a follow up to your previous upload. As always, thank you for your tremendous work, Chris 😇

Thank you Chris and Safron for this interesting discussion on Jung. A few years ago I did dream work with a Jungian psychologist which was really profound. In Jung's use of astrology, I'm sure he said or implied that through reconciling opposition's in one's life, individuation was obtained in the centre of the circle. ❤❤

I've just started to listen but I already have to say that it is amazing that you make episodes about intersecting fields of astrology and psychology. Astrology is so underestimated by psychologists and so is psychology by astrologists. The power of combining these twoin order to understand human psyche is beyond words.

Can you give more information on this Conference on May in Chicago?
@TheAstrologyPodcast Жыл бұрын
This is an old episode that was re-released recently, so that conference happened in Chicago in May of 2018. There is a conference happening next year in May of 2024 though called the Northwest Astrological Conference, which you can find through Google.
