If we lean into strange experiences with gentle curiosity, we may discover a level of psyche that acts directly on objects.
Many of us have uncanny coincidences like thinking of a friend at the exact moment they ring us on the phone, but what about physical things breaking apart for no reason or luminous apparitions at our bedside? We often explain them away to reduce our anxiety, but Jung found them fascinating. He maintained a scientific attitude while accepting strange phenomena he could not explain. Eventually, he created a psychology of radical acceptance that creates space for the unexpected, including each person's unique soul.
Prepare to discover where Jung’s interest in the paranormal came from, what strange psychic events changed his relationship with Freud, how Jung used a séance to complete his university degree, which strange spiritual experiences changed Lisa and Joe’s beliefs, whether the collective unconscious plays a part in extra-sensory abilities and even more…

A day after my dad died, with whom I had an incredibly complex and difficult relationship, I was lying in bed feeling intense emotions of despair and at some point my mum came in and asked: 'Have you been smoking cigarettes in here?', I was shocked and replied no. After a few minutes I went to the kitchen and went back to my room and was hit with a reeking of cigarettes that somehow I did not notice before. I started to look around the room but there was absolutely no physical source it could come from. I called my mum and told her I could smell it too and we looked at each other and immediately knew that we were both thinking that it was him. My father smoked like a chimney his whole life but he died thousands of miles away in another country and he had never visited my house in England. Afterwards I sat on my bed for hours feeling scared and excited that perhaps he was present in some way and I tried to communicate the things I did not say to him before he died. It was the only time in my life that I experienced something like this and I had always been sceptical of such experiences previously.

My mother experienced this. It was always the scent of others when they died that she experienced. She also dreamed when someone was dying.

This happened to my mother also, in the weeks after my father’s death at home, my mother could smell a beautiful perfume of some unknown flower which everyone could smell but no one could find.. He has followed her now for years as she has moved around the country always letting her know he is still nearby..

My narcissistic father died a day before I found out by visiting the veterans home… I picked some red, white & blue flowers to put in a vase when I got home, but my hands were shaking & it spilt the blue forget me not onto the deck outside. It fell through the slats, so I placed the vase upright again & went to sit in a deck chair on the lawn. When I felt more calm in an hour, I returned to the porch & noticed the vase as I went inside… laying on the table next to that vase was a perfect sprig of forget me not! This was 10 years ago & the phenomena have only increased around me to the point where I went to England for a week @ Arthur Findlay College. My ability as a medium became much more developed after I understood that my father was always with me along with many of my family members & the whole purpose was a loving one of support

It happened to me twice! With each of my grandfathers. Amazing experience. I'm so happy for you. Once you realize life never ends and they can still communicate with you but most importantly, they hear us. So the relationship not only continues, but transcends.

When I was 6 years old I was consumed by the pain of rejection. I was sitting on a log in the woods crying out what had I done to deserve it. I was looking towards the sun when all of a sudden a great light behind me engulfed me and I had never experienced such love. That incident carried me through many hard times

The first Thanksgiving after my father died, in the middle of dinner, an antique clock which sat next to his photo in the dining room began to chime. The strange thing was, it was broken when we bought it at least ten years earlier, we just liked the look of it. So it had never been wound, the spring was sprung in fact, never had chimed, never worked at all except for that night and has never chimed since. Since 2015. It chimed every 15 minutes for 12 strikes each time, at dinner around 6 pm until the next day when it stopped around noon. We all said it must be dad, and the room felt different too when the clock began to chime. There was a golden hue in the room and it felt warmer and I felt very peaceful. He’d been so ill with cancer for 3 years and I’d cared for him. He died in our living room in my arms. I believe it was him telling us he loved us and was still with us. Thank you for your work and for this opportunity to share this moment.🙏❤️

When I was a child, a woman who was a treasured mentor to me was brutally murdered. Three decades later, I became overwhelmed with grief about her death. I realised I was approaching the age she had been when she died, and we both had two daughters. One night I was so overwhelmed with grief that I couldn’t sleep. I went out to the lounge room and wept in the dark alone. When I looked out into the darkness of our back garden, three outdoor lamps lighting a path suddenly blinked on and off together in a very deliberate perfect unison. I felt a warmth on my shoulder and it radiated through my whole body. It was the most beautiful sensation of love and comfort I’ve ever felt. After that I was able to move through my grief and I wasn’t so distressed by it.

I had the honour of meeting a boy of 8…. He just blurted out to me that I’m a very nice person….he saw my aura as being yellow and white….and told me to stay away from people with red or black auras. I explained to him I can’t see it….he was dumbfounded….his parents never said they don’t see it and let him just develop whatever gifts he has…since he picked up on energies and auras since a baby….fascinating🙏

I also had a high school student who could see auras around people and certain colors also meant certain things. She told me my aura was gold and pink, which meant kindness and empathy to her and she instantly knew she could trust me. She told me about a very few certain people who had black auras and she knew to stay away from people with those auras. Spooky.

In a pizza parlor once, a little girl was singing beautiful harmonies with the juke box. As I was leaving, I said to the parents, your little girl has a musical ear, I can hear her harmonies....They looked at me like a crackpot; I have always wondered whether that girl got to sing...

Have experienced several inexplicable occurrences. One was 20 some years ago. I was walking our dog on the woods trail by our house. It was a perfect Spring day. I remember not thinking about anything in particular, just being present, the dog was off leash and in view. I became aware of an indistinct sound, very faint, that seemed musical in nature so I initially wondered if there was someone with a radio, looked around in all directons but saw no one. However it wasn't a song or classical piece and it was so faint I wasn't quite sure I was hearing it. The sound grew in volume so it was more distinct but was not loud by any means, just definitely clear. And it was unlike anything I had ever heard before, reminded me of delicate chimes but different, definitely etherial and numinous in qualoity, beautiful and otherworldly. I sensed an intuitive guidence to turn around and look up. It was at this point that I suddenly realized I was standing under a very large cherry blossom tree in full bloom and there was just this KNOWING that I was hearing the sound of the cherry blossoms. I basked in this audible gift for maybe another 20 seconds and then it slowly faded away. The awe of the experience lingered on. And I was NOT on any kind of drug. It was a gift I treasure to this day.

Going through a very emotional time in my life I called out to my sister who had passed away two years prior begging her to please be with me today as I had to face something truly upsetting. Why I decided to take a selfie as I was leaving the house quite randomly I still find bizarre...maybe it was a nervous thing I don't know. I took one photograph but the sun was very bright so I turned straight around and took another. Anyway some weeks later I was going through my phone deleting photo's I didn't like and up popped both selfies. I was about to delete them when my son happened to be passing the back of my chair...I said to him what do u make of this photo because one of them appeared strange almost foggy and without hesitation he said it looks like u...I laughed and replied it is me to which he replied he was talking about the face looking over my shoulder! I couldn't see it until he transferred the photo to his lap top and put a box around what he could see....I went down on my knees...i was looking at the face of my sister. I could even see her fingers holding onto my shoulder. To think I almost deleted it! I've always felt there is more to this life and she confirmed that for me. I've experienced many gifts from spirit but my sister looking over my shoulder is one I can prove. Thank u for giving me the opportunity to share one of my experiences.... 👍

@patmillar961 Thanks so much for sharing. It gave me goose bumps when I read it. How sweet of your sis to not only be there in your time of need, but find a way to thin the veil so you could see your prayer was answered. Not long after my mom passed in another state,10-11 or so yrs after I had last seen her and was having a hard time with her death, I was back at work, in my booth, doing phone research. (NielsenTV ratings 😊), Andy I felt someone staring at me intensely. I glanced over my shoulder a couple of times while on the call but didn't see anyone standing there. Yet when I finished the call and really looked instead of glance, I was astonished. There was an aisle to my left created with the front of another bank of booths, with the employees in them facing my left side. Behind and slightly to their left was a HUGE TV that cycled all the announcements and other info we needed to know. Normally that TV was on all the time, but the night before, the building had been struck by lightning in a really bad storm and all our electronics were affected, but the TV's were fried and not working. Suddenly, in the bottom right corner of that darkened TV, I discovered just why I had felt like I was being watched. My mouth flew open, and my breath caught in my throat. What I saw was what appeared to be my mother, like a portrait painting from the top of her head down to just barely below her ample bustline. She was just sitting there looking at me, not moving nor speaking, with a suble, "Mona Lisa" type smile and a wonderful white, yellow, and orange glow surrounding her. I recognized that it was exactly what she had looked like in her late 20s and 30s. I couldn't believe my eyes and felt like I was going to pass out. My dear friend was in the booth right beside me and as soon as she was done with her call, without telling her what was going on with me, I asked her to line her head exactly like mine and tell me what, if anything she saw anywhere on that TV. She immediately told me to "quit being silly, of course, I can't explain why, but I can see a woman there." She went on to describe what she was seeing, and it was identical to what I was experiencing. She was just as astonished as I, especially when I told her who it was. It felt to both of us that my mom was saying that all the physical, emotional, and medical issues weren't an issue anymore. That she was as she had been prior to those issues. We could see her there for 20 min or so, and then she gradually faded away. But that appearance gave me such peace and closure. I will be forever grateful that my friend and I experienced it together so I wouldn't be questioning my sanity and lose out on realizing my mom was telling me she was safe and no longer suffering.

I do the same thing. My son is 27 and I knew since he was born that I will not allow to give him a vaccine venom. Not to me not to my animals. I have about 20 rosmary bushes in my garden, about 15 thymes, i grow Artemisia vulgaris from seeds in my garden against Covid and such what works perfectly and goes not only very well together with duck meat. The Nettle is always in my garden too. My cats have their own herbs, of course 😊 I awoke in Castell Gandolfo, Italy, with 13 years. In the last audience I could attend with Pope Juan Pablo, which he gave to polish people. I attended a lot before this day in the Vatican and Castellón Gandolfo. He was the only good pope of so many Cesars before and after him. But I saw the beggers in the Vatican. All the homeless people. And I walked all the wall around the Vatican yet with 11 years. And I knew that these walls were not for good, because you can reach God exclusively with your pure heart. Now with 47 earth years and some out of body experiences, some life saving visions and dreams I can assure you that our bodies will go back to the arms of mother earth, but God will not miss to pull on your soul string to get you home. Promised with love⚜️❤️‍🔥

I was four months pregnant and l had a dream of a boat man working in his boat on a river. In my dream l stood watching him, he had a special fork that had many 'L' shaped tines. He was pulling out weeds from the bottom of the river. He pulled out a wee boy, wearing a red sweater, he pulled the boy into his boat. Strange dream l thought, but it made me feel acutely aware of it for days afterwards. On 14th February 2009 my two young sons decided to have a picnic, hot chocolate and cake along by the canal. It was winter in the UK. My eldest son was taking ages to get ready, so l went to see what was holding him up. He said " l am looking for a red jersey." I tried very hard to talk him out of it...nope he found it and put it on! Ok l thought we can picnic on top of the tunnel away from the canal. Off we set a long the path, the two mile walk to the tunnel. Before we got out into the last paddock a couple of walkers said " the wee brook is very overflowed keep up by the hedge, cause you will not know where the edge is." We thanked them and walked on. We had our picnic and all was great. On the walk home, the snow was very bright and the wee brook was very wide. We stayed up by the hedge. Then my son in the red jersey walks, with his stick in his hand straight down into the water and disappeared, his stick rapidly going down stream! I immediately dropped my heavy winter coat with our rucksack still attached to it's arms and ran down to the water. I reckoned it would be no deeper than my waist, chest at most. The water was so deep and so cold l could hardly breathe. I grabbed about in the water, gasping for air. I managed to find my son and ( l do not know how but) l threw him out of the water onto the grass. I then realized l never took my gum boots off and l was incredibly weighed down. I literally threw a prayer at God, cause l was running out of time the water was freezing and l was feeling very strange. I managed to get my pregnant body out of the freezing cold, fast moving icy water. Both of us survived and so did my unborn baby! If l had not had the dream of the boat man and the boy in the red jersey, l would never have known to react so promptly!

YOur baby arrived in your womb. The consciousness came in. The dreams that stick with you afterward are not ordinary dreams. They are messages. That doesn't mean that you literally have the little boy, altho it might. It just means that your child was pulled to you and entered into your "boat".

My parents always had a very difficult relationship. Both were inflexible and complicated people, but today I know my mother is a manipulative person who still blames him for everything that went wrong. Anyways, 2 days before my dad had a fatal stroke, I was in my parent's house when I felt the urge to turn to my mother and say, "Mom, take easy with dad". She looked at me with a weird look in her face and said, "Philip (my nephew who lived with them) said exactly the same thing to me 15 minutes ago". Don't ask us where the message came from because we don't know. It just appeared in our heads and we did as we were told. I thank the Lord for showing me that somebody was protecting my dad, who also suffered enough during his life, and that he was not the evil person my mother made me to believe in. My mother is not evil either. She had a very difficult childhood. We are all a bit screw up in the head, aren't we? Have mercy, Lord. Have mercy, my friends.

I'll tell a story my mom told me. Growing up, my parents owned a two-flat building; we were on the 2nd floor and my aunt and uncle on the first. My mom and aunt were pregnant at the same time; with me and my cousin. My aunt had one sibling, her brother, George, who was absolutely beyond thrilled to be an uncle for the first time. He would visit often, did everything he could for his pregnant sister (and my mom) and was just so joyful. One day, my aunt's brother didn't come home from work - I don't recall if he had a family of his own, if he was a bachelor or what but, be that as it may, someone in the family noticed he wasn't around and couldn't locate him. To make a long story short, his body was found a couple of days later near railroad tracks, missing all of his personal belongings. When this happened, both my mom and aunt were still pregnant; I would be born in December and my cousin in March. Time goes by and it's now spring or summer when my mom was in the kitchen doing the dishes, my siblings were at school and I as a 3 - 6 month old, was asleep on my mom's bed, in sight of my mom at the sink. She says she turned around and saw George standing in the doorway of the bedroom, leaning against the door frame. He was dressed in his work clothes and looked fine. My mom said she was surprised but somehow not scared. She said they spoke telepathically and she asked him what he was doing there. He told her he came to see the babies. He said he'd already been downstairs and that my cousin looked just like his dad and that I looked just like my mom. She said she asked him if he wanted anything to eat or drink and he said no, that he couldn't stay. She said she turned towards or glanced towards the sink and when she looked back, he was gone.

And the day after my brother passed I went into the bathroom cabinet to get some lotion I placed it on the bathroom counter and a bottle of aftershave that was near to me seemed to fly off the counter and spilling onto the floor. The bizarre thing is that my husband at the time had been given this aftershave by someone at work and he didn’t use it so it had just been on the bench unused untouched for about 2 months It happened to be the aftershave my brother wore The fragrance of my brother filled my home for a week 😮

I had so many experiences of unexplained events. One of those was when I was staying in a hotel which used to be a hospital. The kettle turned on by itself one morning, the dishwasher won't stop. But I said, "you won't stop, suit yourself ". It stopped.😂. On my last night, my mobile phone made static sounds whenever I started to fall asleep. It kept waking me up. I sensed that a 12 year old spirit, a girl, who was curious about my stay in the room. I sat on the bed and telepathically introduced myself, I explained the purpose of my stay. I told her about my family and my work. This lasted for about 15mins. And then I said, 'I need to sleep now because I have an early flight tomorrow". The phone was quiet for the rest of the night. I said my goodbyes as I left the room. In our culture, encounters like these are normalised.

My visitor who appeared beside my bed during a state of dream paralysis asked me if l wanted to see dead people he could show me. I freaked out and sought proection in religion. Years later after reading Jung and getting therapy for childhood abuse and facing my fears about my dead father he appeared during meditation and told me permission had been granted to tell me the name of my guardian angel and then gave me a vision of an eruption mountain along with the name in illuminated letters. This time l wasn't afraid. I recognized him as a friendly manifestation of my psyche thanks to Jung and l followed the clues in the vision. Many wonderful experiences followed after l faced my fears including the experience of cosmic consciousness.

Hi Cathy, I've had some times paranomal experiences too, sleep paralysis, bed visits, things that move, voices, etc. but not very frequently. I read Jung's books and I did psychoanalysis for over 3 years too when I was quite young. This probably saved my life and allowed me to have an normal quite satisfaying life. So, I feel your experience mirrors my own in so many ways. However, I'm now undergoing changes (I'm 54) and looking for a deeper transformation, a quantum leap, that's why I've been meditating for one hour a day for almost 3 years, but I still can't get the cosmic consciousness experience you got, although I feel the fith dimension in my meditations and I've received a downlowd once. Anyways, I won't give up.

It happened 9 years ago. A girlfriend let me down in a way that led me to decide that she's not a friend. That I need to let her go. I felt strongly about it, but was equally scared of the aloneness that would follow. I've just finished, at the time, Bill Plotkin's Soulcraft, where he describes a bear, a butterfly, rocks falling off a mountain - as answers to deep personal quests. I asked for a guiding sign. I didn't fast for 4 days, but was still anxiously waiting for a sign. On that evening I was driving home from my weekly dance class, on my right a vast empty field. Suddenly I saw a tall deer, very close, to my right. Not in front (not facing the headlights). I stoped the car at once, and we looked at each other's eyes for a long time. Maybe a full moment. The deer, then, with his majestic large body (and very gentle face) walked away. I turned my head after him. He was all alone. I've never met deers in that field before or after. I took it mean: you're not alone. You can let that no-friend go. I was deeply moved by, what felt like, an intimate contact with the deer. I was even more moved by the universe, Being, God, Self, Soul (whichever) speaking to me, responding to my quest, accompanying me - in contrast to my shaky faith. About the no-friend - I've never regretted letting her go. I did realize that she was a no-friend in a whole number of other ways.

I've been there and it is so hard when you feel love for someone but it's not reciprocated, or you think it is but then you realizes it's not. It's definitely ok to walk alone. Better that then to let someone abuse you or hurt you. It took a long time for me not to feel so hurt by someone I thought I was very close with, but I'm stronger now and will never let someone else have that kind of power over me again.

I interacted with a deer god while meditating. She was kind to me for which I am grateful. A week later, I looked out the bay window of our home and three bucks were slowly walking up to the window shoulder to shoulder. Fully grown animals. They stayed there long enough for me to photograph and video them.

Love this episode! Unexplainable happenings that seem to have a guiding meaning are something I’ve experienced quite a lot, perhaps because I’m very open to the possibility of messages coming from another realm. This one is my favorite: Many years ago, while navigating a rather difficult time in my life, I was looking for a new home. My search brought me to this ramshackle house that was badly in need of repair, surrounded by an overgrown landscape, and offering little of what I’d imagined my new home would look like. As I toured the property, I felt it was as sad as I was and found nothing enticing about it. I was ready to leave before looking at the entire interior until I stepped into the smaller of 2 bedrooms. I immediately felt the overpowering presence of my long-deceased grandfather whom I’d been very close to as a child. The words “this is where you’re supposed to be” flashed in my mind as I suddenly smelled the distinct aroma of the pipe my grandfather used to smoke. It all happened in an instant, and I had no idea why this was the place I should live, but I did feel absolutely sure in that moment that I would buy the house. This has now been my home for over 20 years, and the blessings this little property has brought to me are still manifesting.

One night I woke up and saw a figure of an old man walking towards me. He wore a white sleeping gown and head piece like in 16th century. He walked between tthe bed and the wall which normaly is impossible. He had a long nose and blue eyes and looked worried about me. I said go away go away. But he came closer and bended over me all the tiime looking into my eyes. I started hitting him but all I hit was the wall. So I turned on the light. He was still there. I got out of bed snd thought I go to the toilet and when I come back he will be gone. When I came back he was still there bended over me who was not there and I saw his back. So I went downsyairs made me a cup of tea and smoked a cigaret. So then I went back up to go to sleep but he was still standing there seemingly very worried which I appreciated but not now. For I was in a terrible divorce procedure and needed all the help I could get. But not like this. The whole event was about 1 hour before he seemed to have dissopeared. Me checking every 15 minutes. I never saw this kind otherwordly man again. Maybe he was my husband many centuries ago?

That is beautiful 💟✨ I had the feeling before we bought our house that we were meant to be here but in having a tour before purchase I went up the very old staircase and could smell the distinct smell of my grandfather, a mix of pipe tobacco and the cedar wood soap he used to use...I was delighted by this confirmation.

I’ve had many experiences, some quite mysterious. I came downstairs one morning to find jet black bird feathers on the floor, perfectly arranged in an arch. Individual feathers, not attached to a wing, very strange and I had no idea what that was supposed to mean. I was present when my mother-in- law died in a nursing home. My husband had left to get some rest and I stayed to keep watch. Moments after she died I got the strange feeling that I should look at my phone. It was face down on my lap because I didn’t have pockets and it was “sleeping” because I hadn’t accessed it in hours. When I turned it over there was a picture of my husband and my mother-in-law. I was so astonished because I knew all the steps I would have had to take to pull up a picture on that phone. Many, many other experiences including TV’s and dishwashers turning on by themselves and a visit from my dead sister in which I felt her presence on the other side of a thin, shimmering veil. It is so awesome to have the mysterious in my life.

5:32 'Jung's mother kept a diary ' to document her experiences. I've been documenting my dreams and synchronicities for years. Nearly all of them are precognitive dreams about ordinary apparently insignificant events.Within a couple of days, the exact event occurs while I'm awake. One night my wife went to bed early. I picked up a book of Celtic folklore and read about the Manx cat. The next morning I was sitting at the table drinking coffee. My wife came in and said, "I had the strangest dream last night." Then she described to me the very narrative I was reading after she had gone to bed. In one dream, I was struggling to put on a yellow dress! (as a man, I've never done this). I'd never had such a dream. Next morning I opened my email and saw a message from my sister. In the subject line were the words "Yellow Dress". There are more things in heaven and earth.......

Very well done. Thank you. At 75 years an American, I look back and it seems that our culture is moving in the direction towards the mystical/paranormal and away from the formal church going religious experience. In my early years Freud was the more dominant and Jung less spoken of. One spoke of the Freud/Adler system, but rarely about the Yungian model. The poles have reversed. Your comment that the psychedelic drug experiences stemming from the 60s have a curious validity seems to be indicative of my observation mentioned above. Your very informative discussion has much broader parameters than one would have expected years ago. Thank goodness. And thank you. Me, I am much obsessed by the mystical and have been since my early youth.

Finally!!! I also can't recall when the mystical has ever started a war...correct me if I'm wrong. Religion can and has for too long...when I was very young I recall thinking...ok, so there's all these religions and many of them claim to think they are the true or right one but who's really to say? I think I decided then that they were all just different incantations of a "creator" and it caused much arguments among humans that I'd rather put my faith in the universal mystical magic of everythingness. ✨💟✨

One of the absolutely most eerie things that ever happened that I never even told anybody about because it is the most far out ( I have had a dozen or more other experiences with, , Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, so called “ ESP” , remote healing , etc) was that I was in my home office trying to get a computer to work that hadn’ t worked in months. And I was trying to get the monitor turned on as the screen was black and all of a sudden in the center of the dark screen the words “ prepare to be deceived “ popped up and disappeared and I never did get the computer to work….. A few months after that I did find something out that involved deception….. . Oh and once I dreamed where some lost keys were located as I went to bed worried about the person who was trying to find the keys and I called my stepson son at 3 AM and told him I had a dream of a pair of hands going into a duffel bag and a man’s voice saying “not there “ meaning the central portion but the hands went deep into a very side pocket of the duffel bag. He went to his duffel bag and checked the side pocket and reported the keys were there !

My husband and I were sitting on the couch just finishing a movie. It was a new house to us, built in 1955 and had only had one owner prior to us. It was 11:00 pm and we heard the most god-awful crashing and banging coming from the basement. We were certain someone was trying to break in. My husband grabbed a hockey stick he had by the back door and I had the phone in my hand ready to dial 911. He went downstairs to investigate and found absolutely nothing. Nothing had fallen, broken or crashed. Nothing was out of place. I didn't believe him so I went down and checked too. We were completely mystified AND for the next 14 years of living in that house there were several similar incidents always at 11:00 pm.

I was looking at the painting thinking the faces weren't right...really concentrating on the faces and trying to figure out what I'd missed. My phone rang...a number I don't know...I pick up and hear "Sarah, it's Grandma" The voice wasn't right but the inflection and wording was PERFECT. I was shocked and froze..."I'm just here with my sister and we want to know if you're free for lunch". I couldn't believe it! I said, "I"m so sorry. I think you have the wrong number." but I often wonder what would've happened if I'd continued speaking as though it really were my grandmother and her sister.

Hello... I've had many exceptional experiences. I wrote a manuscript about 50 of them, and still to this day the unimaginable happens unpredictably. One experience is very similar to yours. Two close friends and I started meditating together. It was late at night, we had just settled in, had begun relaxing, and I muttered, without thinking, "I wonder if we've known each other before..." Instantly, it sounded like a gun had been fired right next to us. Very, very loud. We all looked in the same direction and saw that the antique glass tray that the candle was on had split right down the middle. There were no fractures or splinters or jagged edges. The candle that had just been lit, was still quietly burning. Later, I had a past life remembrance of the 3 of us being marble quarry workers in Greece in the distant past. I wonder what it sounds like when marble fractures... Thanks for the interesting broadcast.

Many strange experiences, one in particular was inexplicable. We had just moved into our first house in Martinsburg WV during a heavy winter storm, 2 to 4 feet expected. I drove the moving truck and managed to get there before the roads became impassable. Stranded alone, 2 feet had already fallen and you could hear a pin drop, it was so quiet. I continued to shovel the driveway in vain and decided to take a break and build a fire inside the fireplace. I heard loud footsteps of someone running across the roof and had a mental impression of a civil war soldier for some reason. Well there was too much snow on the roof for that to happen but I was so spooked I actually went out on the back porch and looked up to confirm it. Since then, my wife and I periodically experience a presence.

I started meditating 10 years ago and the more intense my meditations, the more paranormal things got. Certainly, while your eyes are closed you expect to receive visual messages. Now I see what I call dimensional events with my eyes open. My latest recurring visions are various animals mostly dogs. They interact with me and I can pet them which they really enjoy. Admittedly, it happens more in the evening than daytime, but they are astonishing varieties of canines and felines. Also, I see swirling vortexes that sometimes fill my room. I'm still not sure what the message is except that animals always bring me joy, so there is that.

As a first time viewer, I found this episode pleasant and somewhat amusing. Humans are psychic beings and “paranormal” events happen as a result. The problem is that most do not realize or understand this ability. The real issue is why has this information been hidden from us? Why have we been programmed to think that psychic phenomena, spirits, UFO’s, Bigfoot and the like are not real, why are believers ridiculed? Yes, it is perfectly normal to have these experiences. There is nothing to fear, learn the truth about humanity and the world we live in. Thank you for this Halloween special.🙏

I was in the middle of a breakup-a breakup that my then-boyfriend maintained was not actually happening. He was moving out of state and starting a business with a woman he’d become quite friendly with, with no invitation for me to come with him, or even to visit. I was upset and confused. We were in the living room, me at my desk and him napping in the chair across the room. Everything was quiet, though I was very tense. Suddenly, the boom box, which had not been turned on in days, started playing the CD that had been left in it. Steve Winwood’s “While You See a Chance” (While you see a chance, take it; find romance…) It absolutely summed up what I felt my boyfriend was doing. I jumped, and the loud music startled him awake. I blurted, “I didn’t do that!” because I was sure he would assume I had. There simply was no other obvious explanation as to why the music had started playing. Never had another problem with that boom box, nor explained how that might’ve happened. (Didn’t have any more trouble with the boyfriend, either. My heart mended, I figured out what had happened, and went on to be very happy.)

I have a react-to-movement light by my bed on the floor, to see my way in the dark when I get up. Some nights this light keeps coming on while I am lying still, waiting for sleep, switching off after 60 seconds for about 3 seconds, then switching on for another minute, for up to 20 minutes or so, despite no movement in the room. It can happen whether the batteries are running down ( but last weeks longer) or have just been replaced. It may not happen again for a few days. I wonder if a benign spirit is with me, I feel no fear, and I have lost family members whom I love dearly. It’s quite comforting, but once I said aloud “Oh Mum, do stop, you’re freaking me out,” and it stopped immediately. But it comforts me now. Do you think it is a spirit in the room with me?

It's a meaningful coincidence, alas the laws of physics bend for no man. In a world of infinite events, there will always be chance events that are mind bogglingly unlikely that happen, certainly in a life of trillions of seconds this will happen over and over...And to our simple monkey like minds those events will seem like acts of sorcery that stand out from the tapestry of normal physical happenings, but as soon as you zoom out, and take a statistical view, you find all those chance events are all a part of the physical picture and fit in perfectly.

After I started having paranormal experiences and initiated my spiritual awakening, I was insanely curious and asking for answers to life’s big questions. Soon enough, objects several feet away from me started falling over; smoke or security alarms would go off when I walked in a room; minor appliances wouldn’t be working even though they were plugged in… it had me so weirded out until I reached out to my spiritual healer and realized it was *me* doing it and not another entity. 53:29 I had an experience when I was very young. I was maybe 6 or 7. And I was coming back home from an errand or something. It was night. I bought some ice creams and snacks for the family. The lady put it all in a black plastic bag. I came back home and as I entered I saw a dark thing coming out from the plastic bag and flying across the living room into beneath the sofa, where it was dark. I made a whole big deal about it, but no one in the family had seen it. My parents calmed me down, and laughed it off. But after all these years I do have a distinct sense that I'd seen it. Or I don't know. What surprises me was how I was reminded of that story almost immediately after listening to Lisa's invitation. And how I've practically never ever thought about it in so many years. I also have one other incident more recently when I became an adult. But maybe that's a story for another time. One spook is enough for a day.

EXCELLENT dream interpretation and conversation about Jung! I love how you two sound like NPR hosts, but unlike NPR, you talk about actually interesting and helpful topics. Thanks! I am a janitor and in April 2022 I saw a guitar pick on the floor of a theatre I was cleaning open up like a butterfly and become two guitar picks. I still have both of them. It blew my mind. It was under a theatre seat, and I had a mop on me, so I put the mop head on the guitar pick in order to pull it toward me. I folded the mophead over on itself and I saw that it had picked up the guitar pick which was now on top of the mop. In that moment the guitar pick opened up like a book, or like a butterfly, and became two guitar picks. A year later in March of 2023 I reached down to pick up a dime and I touched it with my index finger and was pushing it toward my thumb to pinch it and pick it up, but it disappeared before it ever hit my thumb. I searched everywhere but it was gone. It made me think of that guitar pick, which I didnt know much at all what to think about it for a whole year, as my mind was still blown. but now with two occurrences I could 2+2 in my mind. Eight days later at the end of March, I saw a penny on the floor and was about to pick it up but put my mop on top it instead to pull it toward me. I had the thought, "It will probably disappear like that dime" and before I moved the mop across the floor, I lifted the flat mop head to check, and the penny was gone. Like a magician's hat on a rabbit. I froze like a statue, searched everywhere, carefully felt the flat mop head and shook it and looked all over, but the penny was gone. A week later in April 2023, I told a friend about the penny and dime disappearing. We were cleaning resort units together that day and she saw a nickel next to a bed stand in a unit we were cleaning. She didn't pick it up but showed it to me where it was, and I said, "it will probably disappear," so she didn't pick it up and we went about cleaning the rest of the unit and left. An hour later she remembered the nickel and said we should go back to that unit and get it, so we did, but by then the nickel had turned into a piece of candy.. a purplish-gray candy disc about the circumference of a nickel but thicker, with the letters "RP 103" stamped on the candy disc. That blew both our minds.

Hi folks. This episode really resonated with me, that transported me back to a life-transforming, deeply Plutonic, winter mountaineering accident 22 years ago. On the day of the fall, one of my sisters felt and heard what seemed to be her chimney collapsing and falling down the roof tiles. She and her husband rushed outside. Nothing. It occurred within minutes of my falling over 700 ft down an ice shute, followed by an overnight stay in sub-zero temperatures, and mortally wounded. Combined with a series of "liminal" encounters since then, the worldview I held was, and is, undone.

One more thing… one time I was working with an exercise trainer and I was On a treadmill in my home and the trainer had is hands on my shoulder and back as though he was trying to help me stay on the treadmill but I didn’t need that help and I felt it was creepy and I got angry and wanted him away from me and I had this feeling of energy building up and as I thought in my mind about pushing him and saying in my head “ get away from me!” He literally suddenly jumped back 2 feet as though some force pushed this rather hefty man away from me. He looked stunned to say the least… I never worked out with him again.

Can I just say, what Joseph was saying about restoring magic to the universe, that we need to feel the universe as magical, that it has intelligence and is deserving of respect - that there is "integrity in a secret, soulful, dimension of the universe" - otherwise, without that feeling, we act oddly to each other and the natural world - restoration of that feeling/ understanding is exactly what was given to me by psilocybin. It reanimated the world for me, with emphasis on feeling and knowing through feeling, that the world is alive in a way I was ignoring before, with too much of a "sawdust" worldview. Had to say that since you briefly mentioned psychedelics, I think this is one of their main offerings and how healing occurs - I know I wouldn't be my "true self" without having had that restored to me, and I would be walking around without direction. I have a story from my mom: we were driving home on the highway late at night, I was 11 months old in the back seat, and this was in the boreal forest of Canada. Suddenly, my mom saw her deceased grandfather in front of her, startling her to the point of pulling over. From the side of the road, she then saw in her headlights the towering legs of a moose, realizing she was seconds away from a collision that more than likely would have caused our deaths. Not sure if you would consider this paranormal, I think of it more like mind manifesting a way to get you to pay attention immediately, but I also don't want to be explaining it away! To her, and her experience of it, her grandfather was there and saved our lives.

From a third party perspective, I also see it from a similar point of view, but I could see it as a both-and situation, as I often do with things. Since we are intrinsically and intimately connected to “the other side” of the physcial universe, some could say higher worlds or spiritual realms, or the outer world that reflects the inner world and inner workings of a person. I could see that truly being like a helping warning sign from the subconscious mind or somehow being weaved together with the spirit of the grandfather connecting to her awareness to get her to quickly make a decision decided upon an intuitive feeling, an unexplainable subjective communication. Either way it comes through the creative mind that reflects higher reality through the perception of the personality structure and with such odds of something being their i would leave it open to say it was her non-linear awareness and also a helping hand.

I had a sinister experience that I don't think I will ever forget. I was in the mountains with my boyfriend and we were hiking, but we chose to shorten the route because we only had a few hours at our disposal, so we didn't follow the marked route. He was familiar with that area and even though we had some challenges, we got there just fine. At the top was a bell set in a huge structure whose string the people pulled when they got there, and the sound of the bell echoed far over the peaks and valleys of the mountains. I timidly approached the bell and was glad to break the silence that surrounded us as if I had violated some unwritten law of nature. From there I had a panoramic view, there were no trees at the top so I could see someone if they were nearby, but I didn't hear, see or feel anyone approaching. I went down at a brisk pace for about 10-15 minutes, in a hurry to get to the car before nightfall, when suddenly I heard the bell, I froze, I turned around and at the base of the bell structure I saw a child's figure, as if it was a shadow in the distance pulling briskly at that end of the string making the bell ring. No other figure in the distance, the child seemed to be alone, doing his thing or whatever. My boyfriend looked at me terrified, with his pupil as wide as the wheel at the car, he told me that he didn't hear or see anyone coming up from any direction either, we were very confused and scared, we continued our way back to the car. Once we arrived we had time to open the topic and I actually cried, I was so horrified by that event and my inability to explain it that I didn't even try to understand, and my partner was equally impressed and overwhelmed. It's that kind of experience that you can hardly find words for, you don't know if it was imaginary or real.

Too many experiences to talk about them all. I’ll tell you about the first two. It happened on a trip to New Orleans and myself and my mother were walking through the courtyard of the two sisters. At my young age of six I understood that’s some thing was different about the three ladies around the cast iron table. The ladies never looked at us, or greeted us as we came into the courtyard, and my mother never looked at them, and said hello, people were friendly back in. I thought they were spirits, but I wasn’t sure a year or two later we stopped again in New Orleans on our way to Mississippi, and again we walked through the courtyard of the two sisters. The ladies were still there all dressed in their Victorian finery. But this time there were only two ladies. Again they did not greet us, nor did my mother look at them so as we passed the women, I asked my mother if they were people dressed in costumes that worked there. She asked me what ladies, I said, the ladies we just walked past right there, and I motioned with my thumb because it was not polite to point, she turned and glanced in that direction, grabbed my hand and hurried me out through the other end of the courtyard. She never said she saw anything, but what I had said to her, obviously freaked her out those were experiences at a very young age that gave me the knowledge that yes, the paranormal does exist, and I have had many more experiences since that tender age.

I was about 7 or 8. My parents had gone out for the evening & I was home alone. I was on the couch wrapped in a blanket watching a really scary episode of The Outer Limits. I got so scared that I didn’t dare get off the couch to turn off the TV. So I started throwing a tennis ball at the button that turned the TV off and finally hit it. The silence almost seemed even scarier. Suddenly I heard a familiar bell ringing a couple of times in the next room. I couldn’t stand not knowing what it was, so I mustered up my courage and went to look. We had a small replica of the Liberty Bell on the coffee table in the living room. Somehow, it had rung all by itself, and I ‘knew’ my fear had made it ring.

I had a lovely rosewood hair stick that my son gave me when he was around 10. It had a beautiful patina and feel and I used it daily for years to hold my bun in place. When he was just out of undergraduate studies, he fell in love with a girl. As often happens, there was friction. I had to back off and let them figure it out, of course. During that painful separation, I was wearing the hair stick and drove some 90 miles shopping. While getting gas, I felt my bun slip a bit and thought I heard something hit the ground, but I still felt the stick in place and saw nothing on the ground around me, so I drove home. When I got there, my hair fell down entirely and the stick was nowhere. I realized it had probably fallen as I re-entered my vehicle at the gas station. I checked the vehicle thoroughly. Then, because it meant so much to me, I checked every area of my house, thinking, hoping that somehow I had never left with it. To no avail. I mourned for hours this precious connection to my only living child. Finally I prayed to settle myself, sending love out as I do in meditation. A couple hours later I looked at my altar and the hair stick was there, with tire marks clearly on it. Sadly, after I reconciled with my son, months later it disappeared, seeming to have fallen into the trash and been disposed of without noticing.

A sentence in Memories, Dreams, Reflections that stood out to me was, " The miraculous belongs to this world." One of the advantages Jung had over Freud was that he didn't have to be Freud ! Because Freud was a part of Jung's objective reality, he was able to see the flaws in Freud's viewpoint, in a way that Freud himself was unable to. I feel like I understand why Freud adopted the position he did. He must have felt the potential danger of opening the door to the occult, to the irrational. His tragedy was in not realising that Jung was there to HELP him, not subvert him !

I had quite a few interesting experiences as a teenager growing up. One of them happened right after my mom's death, I saw her for a split second in the same spot that I was crying and grieving her death. I also remember smelling her (her perfume) - I was sitting in front of the television and suddenly out the blue and right in front of me, I smelled her. Later in my thirties, I went through a major health crisis and experienced a period of (multiple) dark nights of the soul. During this time I remembered that as a young girl, I wrote a story of my mom dying.... I predicted it. I completely forgot about this. It felt as if through the act experiencing an ego death, I was able to access "lost" parts/memories again. Thanks for a great episode🙂

I have a knowing precognition of several deaths in my life including my mothers, various pets and celebrities whom I've never met (for some strange reason) I took a four year class in mediumship and psychic development to try to understand why this "gift" which has sometimes felt like a curse had been given to me. Little did I know that through taking this course it only intensified it. Then I took Reiki 1 & 2 because I've always had an interest in healing modalities and it amped it up further. I woke up to find my self siting at the end of my bed my heart racing like mad. I looked to see if my cousin was alright and she was siting up on her bed arms around her knees that were pressed up against her chest . she said that I was flipping and summersaulting on my bed . I explained what I had just went through in this very very real nightmare and we could not go back to sleep. At 10:00 am the cleaning lady entered our room and asked us how we slept. We explained to her the incident and she collapsed in the nearest chair and said; “Some 4 years ago twins (girls)committed suiside in this very spot. While I was on stage encouraging people, a 30 year old in the front row told a spoon to bend, and it melted over in one direction, then he tried to prop it back up, and it bent effortlessly the other way. I still have the spoon. I bought it and 30 0thers in thrift stores for the show. The man acquired the "3,000 mile stare" in the process and drifted out of the room in a stunned state. One of my friends who went with me was next to him when it happened, and saw it as well. No tricks possible.

In May of 2001 I became pregnant with my first child. At the time I worked in Melbourne, Australia on the 11th floor of a 50 storey building. Throughout my first trimester I kept having dreams about being at work and the building toppling over. It got so bad that I became scared to go to work and told my husband about the dreams and my fear. Then I had a dream about driving in a car with my husband in the country and a plane had crashed in the paddock beside us. Debris was strewn everywhere and we stopped to help but we couldn't save anyone. Shortly after 9/11 happened. I've never had the dreams before or since, and though they seem predictive I've never understood the significance since there was no-one I could warn about anything.

I live in New York and many family members worked in the city at that time. Most recently I had a dream October 6th that I was outside a house at night and I saw men running in the shadows and the sound of gun fire and screaming. The word “marauders” jumped into my mind. I knew I was going to die and I hid beneath a car. The next day I heard of the attack on Israel.

And I used to peruse them as a kid, along with reading the Bible from cover to cover, lol. Together with about 100 other people. My grandfather is about 10 years old and his brother is looking directly into the camera at “me”. It felt like they must know I’m here. I wish I could dream about my maternal grandparents too, and my animals. I miss them so much. I’m from a different city. And I’ve lived abroad for years. Oh but I forgot to say. She says that the orbs (and also the "rods") are an original form of energy, and do not represent any other being; that they are almost always positive; that they are out in order to feed on the negative energy left in the environment. She says that when there has been trauma or horror occur in an area, there are many more gathered to feed. They can be viewed if one has floodlights outside of one's home...if there is a food source, of course. I sometimes see them zooming about during videos people have taken in their yards, and posted on KZbin; strangely, they are rarely commented on by the posters.

Dead people/ghosts can be responsible for a lot of strange things going on in people's homes, as well. When I heard that part of Jung finding the knife in the breadbasket broken into many pieces, I remembered a time when I lived at an apartment building which was built around the turn of the century area, and one day I awoke to find a pile of knives on my kitchen table, which is always clean and nothing allowed to stay on it when its use is done. But this time a pile of knives, even some dirty knives from the kitchen sink, were all in a chaotic pile in the middle of the table. It was just so freaky. Other strange things happened there too. I moved out a year later. But you know? How many people could have died in a place and got caught in it, to cause all these other problems than we already have on this Earth, for those who live there afterward!

I had some other thoughts about this man's dream. I am paraphrasing my thoughts about the dream so I won't take it apart. To me, I felt that he has been struggling with his own sexuality and that he knows his family would not approve of him exploring or accepting his feminine side. He feels uncomfortable around them because he can't be himself. He knows that those feelings go against his family's moral values. He hates it when he feels he has to just go along with the flow hence the cake, the aunt is the traditional values he has to "serve" up and pretend everything is just sweetness and light and he is "normal". The domesticated hyenas are his family and he knows that if they suspect his sexual feelings they will shred him emotionally and disown him. He wants to flirt with this side of himself and foster a relationship with her but feels he can not, knowing what the family consequences would be if he does. So he keeps these feelings to himself he is confused by them and feels guilty because he knows what his family's opinion is on homosexuality and that to them homosexuality is morally wrong. He battles the rightness and the wrongness. Hence he kills the feminine side of himself and dismembers her to fit in. He feels remorse and guilt both because of the family's moral values and for trying to kill that part of himself. Leaving the family allows him to come to terms with who he is and he has been in a struggle to discover this side of him and accepting himself as he is. Just thought, I would share.

I feel you’re jumping to homosexuality too fast. As a bisexual I see the people I want to share that experience with are just beautiful and I want to meld with them, male or female. I agree that he’s got to look at his desires be they different from what the family expects of him. I just don’t believe it has to be homosexuality.

@@jonstein6868omg!! I would often say " what an amazingly beautiful lady or very similar, stunningly beautiful even" but I don't have a tiniest hint of lesbianism in me!! Not everything is connected to sexual orientation!! At the same time one can fall in love with a person others judge as not very attractive or ugly even!! I had a friend I adored but he was not very good looking at all but I adored him!! I was consider very nicely looking girl, but it wasn't planned for him to share my life. After my husband left. Three 'poltergeist' experiences... I will tell just one. I was sat in the kitchen at the table, and I noticed the baking trays on top of the cooker, to my right, wobble. I didn't feel any vibration in the room.. And then they fell 'at me', they slid over half way across the floor. I definitely felt that they were my husband's aggression. Each of the three incidents were violent at aimed at me.

First major paranormal memory I have: visiting Buchenwald death camp with a class when 14. Knew what happened there, but was blasé about it, not intending to emote publicly. But then, toward the end of the tour, I couldn't catch my breath, I could not breathe. It subsided eventually after going into the new building, part of it as a museum.

A friend of mine who is psychic has said that sometimes people accidentally wander into a geographical location where they suffered horrors and died, in another lifetime, and that it is very traumatic for them. Glad you got away. She says that sometimes that stumbling into the situation results in their dying another death.

My oldest Son was in his room playing while I fixed dinner in the kitchen. The baby gate was up because he was only about aged two. I heard a voice in my head saying " something is about to happen in your Son's room. You need to stay calm. Go now!" I didn't hesitate. As soon as I got there, a very strong gust of wind during a rain storm blew in . A small part of glass from the window fell onto the floor. My Son picked it up. In his hand it looked huge! I did stay calm. I smiled and said "Come show me. What do you have". He walked over and placed it in my hand. Had I panicked who knows what would have happened. It could have even killed him. I am so glad I am open to having such experiences. It's helped me many times in hard situations.

Here's my story. The day after my twin sister died, I was cleaning the floor in her bathroom and her son was also there. Internally I was collapsing, and probably he was as well, but both of us were acting calm, for each other's sake. There were bathroom scales on the floor ( which she hated), made of solid stained glass. Very lightly I touched them on the side with a mop with intention to move them, and suddenly it exploded and broke in million pieces. All that stained glass was all over the bathroom floor. My nephew and I were just amazed. We thought it was my sister trying to send us a message, maybe to indicate her presence. Or it could've been our own combined suppressed energy that was seeking release and needed to be expressed.

I have had many, many paranormal occurrences in life ever since having an NDE as a child. I don't believe in accidents. Don't you think it's interesting that the item that was destroyed was something she hated?! My husband died almost 8 years ago and has made his ongoing presence known in a very creative display of ways. We were inseparable and were both heavily involved in spiritual things and metaphysics for 30 years before he crossed over. He also had an NDE as a child, that he never should have survived. So flickering lights, moving objects, hilarious happenings on my laptop (he was a computer guy), waking up with various songs (with lyrics specific to couples separated and longing to be reunited) playing over and over in my head, and many more things, are just a normal part of my life now. He also communicates and sends messages to me through two of my friends who have mediumship abilities. Interestingly, I only met them after my husband died but now they feel they also know him and his quirky sense of humour. If you feel inclined to keep in touch with your twin, talk to her (aloud or in your head) and ask her to keep sending you indications that she knows what's going on with your life (believe me~ they know everything!) If that's not your thing, then just wish her well and carry on living your best life (until you meet again). 🙏🏻💕

Really enjoyed listing to your conversation on this interesting topic. In response to your invitation in the comments... I had a dream that I was saving a woman that I know from a fire/explosion. I woke up at 2:22am and my watch on my nightstand vibrated and our smoke alarms went off. Another incident, I was talking on the phone to a friend about that incident and the smoke alarms went off again as I was mid-sentence. There were a few other indicents of smoke alarms that summer and various sightings of synchronous numbers and events such as a firetruck with the license plate 222. In the last 2 years, before attentively studying Jung and synchronicity, the vivid dream I experienced occurred during the first of two psychotic "breaks". Another notable dream in that time led me to Jung... In a dream, I said "Jung" to my husband and our thermostat fell out of the wall and on the floor which abruptly woke me. I am grateful to have found a local Jungian psychotherapist and would love to find an in-person community some day.

I've been looking for some kind of explanation for the past 4 years! And I'm so happy to see that you also had the same experience. 4 years ago I had a profound spiritual awakening, I felt a rush of energy going up my spine that gave me goosebumps. It lasted for like 20 mins and was triggered when I was reading Eckhart Tolle's book A New Earth. I had been meditating for 3 yrs back then and this awakening changed my entire life. That night my double glazed window cracked, as if it got struck by lightning. The maintenance guy could not understand how that happened and neither did I. One week later after I meditated I went to wash a sauce pan lid with water. As I put it back to dry, I heard a noise and it shattered into pieces in front of my own eyes. I was flabbergasted. I even took photos of both glasses breaking. Fascinating!!! I was an atheist before this experience. When it happened I realized that there was more to life than what meets the eye, and that has always remained a mystery ✨ Thank you for your podcast I love it!! Can't wait to hear more episodes

My synchronicities seem to have link to my Irish heritage. Amazingly witty one time. Even had witness to one experience. Yes the encounter but the significance? Yes the realm which can be attainable- through what means? Recognition and seeking and openness. To be gifted by the gods ….opening us to this mystical experience which is a door to the spiritual . Yes age 7 is magical age- I had major experience in leaving my body and looking down at self. Later I realized my thoughts were in the light rising self- which also had vision to view body beneath . Also realized spirit has some almost indiscernible weight as when I went back into myself lying on bed, the bed slightly gave This turned out to be also a genetic trait as mother had also experienced this. Yes.’, so many experiences that I have always been hesitant to share.

I’ve had three experiences I’d like to share. The first two of these I can’t remember exactly how old I was or when they took place, but I believe they were both around 2015 and I was 20 years old. The third is a little bit more nebulous. I know I was in high school, but that’s about it as far as time goes. The first: I was at an ex’s house, both of us in the her kitchen in the earlier part of the morning (2:00am or so). For context this is in TN, right outside (five minute drive) of a state park. The house was in the middle of nowhere, not even reliable cell coverage came out that way. Absolutely nothing was out of the ordinary or of note, until they were. We heard a scraping noise travel along the perimeter of the house. The way I’ve been describing it is maybe how a snowplow would sound if it was bearing down on asphalt while driving (this was before the first snowfall so I know it wasn’t actually a plow). Just a very loud, almost metallic, rough scraping noise. When I say loud it was honestly overwhelming. I can’t remember if this actually happened or is it just seemed like it due to the noise, but I definitely remember the house shaking. It startled the both of us, kind of caught us off guard and had us both frozen. There was an initial feeling of fear that never really subsided throughout the whole thing. It only later turned into curiosity the next day. Right after the noise happened, and we unfroze from fear, we both made eye contact that confirmed without a doubt that neither of us imagined it. We ended up going into the living room, which was the center of the house, and she retrieved a handgun “just in case.” Nothing happened for the rest of the night, and we never heard that sound again. We went to check the outside of the house the next morning to see if maybe some shingles, satellite dish, metal, shutters, or l anything else was displaced or missing. We didn’t find anything that could explain the sound we both heard. I genuinely have no idea what it could be. I would like to know, but I also think it could have just been nothing. If there’s no source for the noise then there’s no source for it. It doesn’t make sense but it’s just what happened. The second: I was in my grandparents house making my way through the hall down to the room I was staying in. To my recollection this was at night but I don’t think it could have been too late. About a third of the way down the hall my stride was interrupted by a small, grapefruit pink, ball of light in my path. It was maybe the size of a peanut (no shell, just a single nut). I was walking so fast that I instinctively sidestepped around it. I kept my eyes focused on it and noticed it kept its position in 3D space. I don’t know how to articulate it other than saying it behaved like it was solid. There was no glare, no trick of the light. Where this ball was, it was. I watched as it slowly continued its path downward towards the floor. I expect it to just stop on the floor and rest as it behaved like it was solid, but it just did not. I can’t say if it vanished or if it somehow went through the floor and into the basement, but I definitely watched it touch the floor and disappear. I really didn’t think much of it and still don’t. At the time I took it as a fun little joke from the universe or something. Almost like, “hey kid, wanna see something crazy?” I’ve not seen anything else like that since then. The third: I’m mentioning this because disappearing object are mentioned in the video. I was in highschool when this happened. I was at home at my grandparents house when I decided in wanted to play some xbox360. I would keep the controller on my end table and I would turn the console on via the Xbox button on the controller. The TV I had didn’t turn on by itself when the console is turned on, so I just quickly got up and turned the TV on with built in buttons. I sat the controller on the bed beside me and was seriously only up for about five seconds. I never left the room. I want to make that very clear. I put controller down, turn tv on, and when I go back to reach for the controller my hand just grabbed my bed’s sheets. I thought maybe it would have fallen on the floor and went under the bed, but it wasn’t there. It wasn’t lost in the sheets either. I searched everywhere in my room for the controller but it just wasn’t in there. I mean I also searched placed it couldn’t be at all just to satisfy my need to find it. All searches turned up nothing. I decided to up the effort on my search and move further into the impossible. I went into the room next door to mine, a computer room. There it was. Sitting on the computer desk with its power indicator light on. I grabbed it and went back into my room and played as I intended. I know I didn’t leave the room and I was also the only one home. Just very strange to me.

There was an experiment done where a magnet placed on someone's forehead would cause them such that they did not remember a very long pause and what they thought was a continuous sequence of a recalling of the numbers one through 10 so this is very clear evidence that our perception of continuity of time and active recall is highly malleable by electromagnetic fields various kinds so even if that were not the case micro seizures could cause one to engage in unconscious activity and not have any recollection of it

My experience: I lost a friend to a tragic car accident, upon driving with friends to his memorial we passed the sight where he had wrecked (it was a mountainous small town). While driving we were listening to our deceased friends favorite rock band and as we passed the accident sight it came into my head, which I shared with my friends, I said, "I want to get that Sammy Ketshaw cassette with the song, titled "Don't go near the water"". My friends both looked at me and said, we are listening to Creedance Clearwater Revival (CCR) and your thinking of a country song-what made you think of that? I said, "I don't know it just popped in my head!" So 1 week later we are at our deceased friend's family house and the mother said to her son (who was in the car with me the day we drove to the memorial when passing the accident sight and the Country Music popped in my head). She continued asking if her son would, mind getting her the Tape, the very one I had mentioned, He asked her why? She said, that was what the now deceased son was listening too when he wrecked, and it was jammed in his tapedeck! He looked at me as though I was weird! I just shrugged and smiled! Guess I picked up on that. Weird, these kinds of things happen to me often. Don't know why/how but amazing stuff. Love your channel.

I grew up with my mother until I was 14, at which point I started living with my father. They had divorced when I was 2 yrs old, so them being separate was normal to me. My mother was entrenched in the Pentecostal religion, but also, her side of my family was strangely and openly psychic. My father was agnostic and very psychologically minded and taught me through his "Pop"-psychology about both Freud and Jung, amongst many others. So, I grew up with two different perspectives, being able to see both sides. I, too, experienced some ghostly phenomena as a child as well as some psychic experiences, sometimes through dreams, which has continued into my adulthood. Being mystically connected seems normal to me.

I've had two incidents I cannot explain. 1st when I was in my teens, all alone in my dad's house, door locked, I was resting on the bed, not going to sleep or waking up, just laying around, when I hear and feel the tremor of two loud footsteps on the floor right next to my bed, it felt like something was there and gone in an instant. A recent incident was more like an UFO sighting, I was about to join my son on our trampoline, when I saw a sizeable vessel in the sky, looked about the size of a plane, but had a shape more like a drone, it stood still in the sky and for a long while I just starred at it, feeling/hoping I would understand what it was if I looked long enough, then my 2 year old son got impaintient with me and called me to join, and in the brief moment it took for me to bend my head and enter the trampoline and look up again - it was gone, after having been right in the middle of the sky.

It was around 1989, it was around 9 pm and I was in my bedroom doing my homework when I heard the drawers inside my parents' wardrobe open and shut (they used to make a very distinctive sound when opened or closed). I was surprised because I didn't see anyone passing my bedroom door, plus my parents were out that night. Went to fetch my brother and we crept into our parents' darkened bedroom with a stick or something in hand, convinced there was a burglar. But there was no-one. The wardrobe was closed and so were the drawers inside. Everything was normal. I still get goosebumps when I think of it. My mother often said the house was haunted, and guests sometimes said they had strange experiences there also, such as more unexplained noises, and once seeing my late grandfather. I believe today that it was due to negative energy in the family that caused the disturbances.

When I was a small child and sometimes even now as an adult light bulbs burst when I turn on the light sometimes multiple times in a day.. My Dad was an electrician and I remember him standing looking at the burst bulbs scratching his head looking confused because the bulbs were new as they had exploded and been replaced already. I learned how to pull in my energy before touching the switch in order not to burst bulbs. As an adult I've noticed it happen when my mood is affected with anger or pain. Once before my knee repair I was in lots of pain while shopping for groceries when i swiped my card to pay my energy made all of the computers/registers in the store not just mt register but ALL of them went into reboot mode. I know this was me because while mad at my daughter's father I could reset his video game just by walking past the TV when I was mad. To this day card keys will not work unless my energy is centered. Jung had the right idea in my opinion :-)

So you want stories? When I was in my early teens, objects would fly around. Still a dent in my bedroom wall from one which almost hit me. My favorite thing to still play with is blowing out lights- used to ride my bicycle at night and blow out streetlights by looking at them. One night the cop saw me doing it and we became instant friends. I can start dead watches too. Some says I hate being me, some days I like it. It’s difficult in this electronic age, because sometimes my “abilities” won’t let me use electronic devices. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

I went through a series of events in my middle - late adolescence. I started to have premonitions, including a vision of my grandmother having an accident and seeing blood. I was not at all close to my grandmother - in fact I was scared of her. I remember telling a school friend on the was to school and then later that day when I got home my mother telling me my grandmother had been in an accident and cut her head. After that I quite often had premonitions- I feeling of just knowing something, accepting that it is true without any understanding of why I’m being shown it. They were various premonitions ; of danger to people, but also knowing simple things like going to work and knowing that someone had very unexpectedly handed in their notice. It started to really scare me and I stopped it somehow. It was only as an adult I understood that my fear was me thinking that my vision had caused the event to happen. Who wants to know the future - not me anyway. I also had a series of kinetic events - lightbulbs coming out of their fittings and flying across the room etc luckily that didn’t last long. I think it’s true that once you have had something like that happen you know there is much more to life than the mundane ‘real’ world and I’m grateful for the mystery that opens up new opportunities and vistas. He asked if we could put it in a container in his room so it could have a “sleep over” with him. I picked up the crunchy lizard and put it in a small box on his bedside table. The next morning he rushed out to tell me his lizard had woken up and wanted to go out in the garden. I thought …yeah right, but to my everlasting amazement Mr. Crunchy was running around in the box. We released him in the garden and he ran off..to this day I cannot believe what happened…but I saw it with my own eyes…🦎.

Loved the Halloween episode! The story about Jung's and Toni Wolff's vision at the Battistero degli Ortodossi in Ravenna could also fit in the episode. As Jung tells in his autobiography, they saw these four beautiful mosaics panels and later found out that they actually did not exist. And talking about "explaining away": I found one author attesting that the mosaics did exist, or sort of. "What Jung actually saw were four Latin inscriptions done in mosaic on the baptistery’s four inner arches, which, along with three stucco scenes (...) and a misidentified figure in the ceiling mosaic, seemed to contribute to an overarching motif connecting baptism with the danger of death, especially death by drowning. All these elements combined in Jung’s memory to become four large mosaics" (Ronal V. Huggins, What really happened in Ravenna? C.G.Jung and Toni Wolff's mosaic vision. Phanês Journal for Jung History, v. 3, n. 3, p. 76-115, 2020). I will settle with Jung's account on this matter. It seems unlikely that Jung would misinterpret the frases in Latin for the mosaic scenes or even confuse a ceiling mosaic or stucco scenes with four mosaic panels. Paranormality is a more reasonable explanation here.

In my late teens, I would see dark figures on a regular basis. The impression I got was that at least one of the figures was my grandfather. I was never scared. I told my mother (for it was her father). She said it was the devil. That was the end of that. Forty years have since passed. I'm trying to get back to that place of openness, boldness, and knowing. My teen years, especially 18 and 19, was difficult...just completely emotionally and psychologically draining. I'm not surprised I saw what I did when I did.
