Carl Zeiss 3.3-4 28-85mm T* is a standard zoom from the last century for the Contax-Yashica bayonet. The German company Carl Zeiss stopped manufacturing its own cameras, but sought and found in Yashica a highly inovative and modern manufacturer for SLR camera bodies at the time. Carl Zeiss itself designed first-class lenses for this 35mm SLR camera system.
With a focal length of 28 to 85mm, this lens offered itself as a universal zoom that could and still can cover a wide range of photographic tasks.
But what mechanical quality does it offer and how does it perform on today's modern digital mirrorless camera models, like the Sony A7 3?
