Great video Carl! Stunning fish and hard earned! I'm 46 years old now and it took me a long time to control my obsessions. I've been obsessed with fishing several times and indeed some of my other hobbies. When I feel myself thinking about only one thing and believing that's the only thing that can bring me joy or satisfaction, I know from experience that the end point is almost always disillusion, burnout and a loss of joy. I still love my fishing because I don't do it all the time. I sometimes let the obsession monster out for a two week campaign of pre-baiting and fishing, but once it works or fails I back off again. Balance is a bloody hard thing to achieve. We all get it wrong sometimes. Look after yourself.

i was just starting this video and thought i'd roll a cheeky banger to go with it, then the buzzer sounded in the intro, i nearly dropped my shit even though im at home in front of the tv ffs lmao, that natural reaction to that sound is engrained in us. looking forward to this now. that was brilliant mate, the kids saying meeting you was the highlight of the summer holidays is magic carl, even after losing that lump you had time for them, you're fast becoming one of the best to watch and you finished with your integrity intact lad by not cheating that fish and yourself. good things happen to good people. well done, wish you all the best for the future mate.
