It's a pleasure to watch you both out on the bank, I think more importantly that sharing your adventures with us is fantastic. It's refreshing to see you fish with other like minded people you have met throughout the years too! I can only dream of getting this much fishing in! Also having dabbled with the process of vidography (sp?) editing and publishing, I fully appreciate how much time, effort and creative processing it takes to make these videos! Kudos guys... maximum effort!

Hi Ben, Filming, photography, and fishing are all things which require time and sometimes a lot of patience! But none of those compare with the amount of time editing a video takes! We might spend two days filming but then it's a solid week of editing to get the film ready to be watched! lol! Pretty crazy really, but we love it! haha Thanks again, new video coming next friday! hehe C & A

My local river, and still my favourite water, my first Salmon was also a 13lber (from the Rede, a tributary of the Tyne) when I was 10 years old. Unbelievably, 24 years later and all the Salmon landed since and I've never bettered it, sure I'm cursed! Well done lads, 4 Salmon in 2 days is an excellent return, even in peak season. Love your channel, keep it up gents, we appreciate the effort you put in to your vids, they're a great watch :)

Quick question: I let somebody borrow my lure rod and they hooked a pike and after a few seconds they handed the rod to me and I played it and landed it. Should I claim this as my fish or would you say it’s the guy who hooked its fish??? I am unsure what to do as if I was to claim it, it would be my first ever pike?? Many thanks, Tom
@fishwithcarl7 жыл бұрын
I would say who ever lands the fish it's there catch. But it depends on your own opinion, if you don't feel like you deserve the catch, then go back and try and get one yourself! It's always more rewarding when you put in the effort yourself, but sometimes it's all about team work! 😃

I've been fishing a new river this year, and I'd been catching salmon parr without realising, now I know, I'm kind of obsessed and want to catch a bigger one. Hence why I'm scouring through YT for salmon videos 🤣 regular viewer aswell so good to watch an older vid of you guys man. Hoping I find another video, if not, you should defo try and get another one made 😁

Hi Sam, I actually did a little bit last week, but that's for the huge week-long multi species challenge I just filmed. That'll be coming soon, It was mega, and forgot how fun salmon fishing is. Oh wow that's so cool, what river's that?
@samhirst73312 жыл бұрын
@@fishwithcarl first and foremost thanks for taking the time to reply to a comment on a 5yr old video. Really appreciate it. Can't wait for the multi species challenge vid...I've seen your posts on social media. Is that the actual challenge run by the Angling Trust or have you just tasked yourself with catching as many species as possible ? Haha And it's the river wharfe in West Yorkshire. Was taking my lad there whenever we can get down. Catching loads of coarse fish. I've had some nice trout. And my lad has had his first chub....I'd posted some pics on fb and then several weeks later someone commented saying it was a salmon parr.....turns out I'd had a few without realising..went back on Sunday and caught 2 more salmon parr with a load of course fish....I'm determined to find myself a proper salmon now.....just didn't think salmon fishing was all that great in England these days.
@fishwithcarl2 жыл бұрын
No worries Sam, you're welcome! Yess was mad, but so fun. Yeah exactly, wanted to try to tick off everything in the book haha! No, not the Angling Trust one. Ah wow, nice! Would love to explore more of Yorkshire. Yes, they look so similar to tiny brown trout! No it's not really, once those parr go to the sea they'll become larger and fingers crossed make it back up the rivers. This year was tough going as the drought it made it harder for salmon to migrate up the river. It is usually best up North and in Scotland :)
@samhirst73312 жыл бұрын
@@fishwithcarl proper can't wait for the vid man looking forward to it. Content is still amazing keep it up. Get your sen up for a week..beautiful scenery and some absolutely cracking fishing to be had..on both still and running water. I used to watch discovery Channel as a kid on Saturday mornings..I remember the alaskan salmon videos back then but kind of forgot about salmon tbh..catching these parr has reinvigorated me. Be hard to find a bigger one but if there's smaller ones making their way down stream, there's gotta be the bigger ones coming up it..looks hard work does salmon fishing but I'm bloody determined lad. If you ever do come up to Yorkshire give me a shout pal.
