In order to go inside the temple you must not only be Mormon, but have been interviewed by your bishop and hold a temple recommend. I'm sure a lot of her friends and possibly even family did not attend the sealing. A lot of times a less formal "ring exchange ceremony" is done outside of the temple for those who could not attend the sealing. They do not take their vows, they usually just exchange rings and some things are shared and advice given by bishop and others they ask.

I thought your wedding looked incredible, but mostly what really caught my eye, was your family. you have a beautiful family. I lost my Nan a couple weeks ago to terminal cancer which lasted over a year, she's my best friend. seeing you with your grandma, and your mum+ Dad, siblings and other relatives made me extremely emotional, knowing that my Nan won't be able to watch me walk down the isle, but this sense of feeling so in depth with how incredible you and your family are and how you all got to share that stunning day together. your love for each other is also very beautiful, and it was moving to watch that come together.

They got married in a Mormon temple, where only Mormons are allowed in so that was probably just like a family wedding but this one was for all the friends and family to enjoy :)

It's because they're Mormon that their wedding was like that. I'm Catholic (and American) and I'd have my wedding at a church and then the party afterward (on the same day), which I think is what most people do. Theirs was different because they're Mormon.
