Ok so i wanted to add one more thing to this review that in comparison to n60 the fan speed is very less. I hope that is something novsight should take notice of in their new models as the better fan speed the cooler the light will be and hence better light performance. N70 already has smaller heat sink as compared to n60. Now a slower fan combined with this small heat sink is something to worry about for me as we all know it will definitely affect the light performance in the longer run.

I got some basic Auxitos for low beam, and Auto 1's for high beam, and Auxitos again in yellow for fogs in a 21' Ford EcoSport. All works perfectly fine. Shopping around as a hobby for automotive lights is too dizzying to keep doing imo. I gotan upgrade, so good enough for me. Incandescent bulbs in projectors are a crime lol. I really wish is PWM DRL functionality could be tested. Many LEDs I've tried on my Toyotas, only Xenon LED Pro had zero flickering in DRL mode.
@DiamondVisionLED
@DiamondVisionLED Ай бұрын
The issue is that DRL PWM uses 6 volts, and most new brighter LEDs headlights need at least 9v to work (12-14v normal). Some lower powered LEDs headlights (35-40W) may be able to work with 6v PWM.
@LionRunner
@LionRunner Ай бұрын
@@DiamondVisionLED I thought pre-2020 4Runners use parallel 12V PWM (each bulb getting 12v in pulse, the reason for LEDs to flicker) vs 2020+ use constant 12V with bulb in series where each bulb get constant 6V (no pulsing). I could be wrong.
@DiamondVisionLED
@DiamondVisionLED Ай бұрын
@@LionRunner That is possible, I'm not sure how the 4Runner is doing it's DRL. One of our vehicles is a 2005 Camry XLE and the high beams are also used as DRL. About 6 years ago I had a LED bulb made that was specifically able to work down to 6v and with a Canbus Decoder connected, there was no flickering. The Camry still uses that bulb is the High/DRL. One thing is that you really don't want a DRL bulb to have a fan, as it PWM can cause it to go bad, so it needs to be fanless.

I'm looking for a LED-bulb which has a heatsink no larger than a halogen bulb - like at all. Why? I want to fit the highbeams of my 2007 Saab 9-5 with LEDs, but the hole in the housing is oval(!), meaning the bulb goes in, but can't be twisted to sit as it should with the chips side to side. Tested three different bulbs - on two the heatsink was too big to twist and on one that would probably fit, the fan assembly was too big to allow it to fit in the housing.

@@CarLightReviews thanks for the suggestion, but the heatsink/led chip part (the top part) looks bigger than the glass filament. What I and other Saab-owners would love is - if it's not too much trouble and time-consuming, if you could measure the bulbs you've tested, or test in the future with a measuring caliper, the top part, and add it to your spreadsheet. I know Saab is a brand that went out of business 13 years ago, but there are quite a few of us left Saab-owners left, both enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts, and if you'd find it worth the trouble, I would definitely spread this information both to Saab groups in Sweden (for example, Saab turbo club of Sweden on Facebook alone has 46,9k members) as I've seen others ask this question, and find some international groups too that would find this information useful. That said, I understand if you won't do this with led-lighta already tested as your list of them is quite long.

@Waskapmutni
@Waskapmutni 19 күн бұрын
@@CarLightReviews no, the *width* of the emitter portion is needed. The holes in the housing where the bulb/emitter portion is inserted are oval, so you can get any bulb in, but you can't twist it to get it properly aligned because of the oval hole and the width of the emitter portion being greater than that of a halogen bulb. Tried "Ledson xtreme focus 2" but that wouldn't fit in the housing because of the cooling-part. Tried two others, one being Philips Ultinon Access, but the emitter portion was too wide.

Measured width of glass part on a H7 halogen is 10.7 millimeters (~0.421 inches) vs 14.02 millimeters (~0.552 inches) on the light emitting part of a led bulb I have on hand. Don't know how much bigger than that it can be and not sure how to measure it as I can't get the measuring caliper inside the housing to measure the hole.

The main issue (brick wall) is that bulbs that use a lot of wattage can only do that at start up and then has to lower down, as if it stayed at 120W+ the heat on the bulb would be too much, causing it not to last long. That is why most bulbs will level off under 100W or lower to keep the bulb temp down.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the colight mini projector and they wouldn't fit in my housing because it has a bulb shield, blocking the lens. From what I understand, It blocks unusable waste light that would otherwise cause glare (and backscatter in bad weather).

@CarLightReviews True it depends on the housing, i was thinking about it since regilar h4 leds are not compatible with the mirror design of my car

@@CarLightReviews a guy used a tester, i got the F9 before and after a year of use i bought these instead, looks like a upgrade version with better heat management, the best one is the PLUS and not the PRO, please test it :) its like 30dollars on aliexpress

WTF HAPPENED? I just checked my comments from day one N60 and F9 reviews, and you have deleted all of my comments and replies. Why?

I do not typically delete comments from my videos. KZbin will on occasion, for various reasons but usually spam or the like.

Great video! Isn't 120w dangerous for the wiring on the average car? As far as I know most sockets are rated at 55/60W. Can you do a video on canbus controllers ?

I thought the same. I sure hope it’s 60 per bulb, not 120.

@@crs1474 did you guy not see the video? its a lie.. they are 70w true draw
@crs1474
@crs1474 12 күн бұрын
@@andreknudsne7648 the 70w is the observed draw after 27 mins. Initial draw is published at 120w. Even so at 70w that’s 15w more than the original ones. That’s nearly 30% difference. I wouldn’t run bulbs that powerful knowing I could melt my wiring.
