@@tubularbelter thank you it’s a fuel saver because it’s a 1.25litre engine it saves me on fuel in comparison to my BMW M235i with a 3.0 litre turbo and the Mercedes with the 3.0 v6 also the new radio is lighter than the old one which saves on fuel 🤣👍🏾💯

Hi Carl, I am just in the middle of an install. I have just popped it in and powered up, all is fine. When I kill the ignition the head unit powers down too and won't power up without the ignition on. Is there a way to power up without the ignition? Hi Jim, thank you for the kind words :) I recommend keeping the engine running to avoid draining the battery as the alternator is what is used to charge the car battery👍🏾💯

Yes mate you can either click the button or use the touchscreen option to turn the screen off also yeah the wires are at the back so you can neatly tuck it away 👍🏾💯

It’s built in there’s a little hole by the screen, I recommend using the external mic that comes with it 👍🏾💯

I have installed exactly this radio in my 08 fiesta. (thanks to this great vid). But the buttons on my steering wheel are not working. Is it an extra cable or does it have to do with the canbus?

You have to wire key 1 and key 2 however, if it came with a canbus you need to go to factory settings then change canbus to your model

Just arrived, looks the goods for sure! Quick question (and I know it's been a while but I figured I'd ask): the main power cable bundle has two wires, brown (labelled as 'BACK" and appears to be the ground) and blue (labelled as KEY1) that are only connected at the unit side, but don't go to the plug/adaptor. Is that the same as yours?

I have one in my wife's car and mine. The beauty of android is let down by the quality of the hardware. Seems like low grade chips were made for these devices. Amplifier is not saying much, but Google maps is great

How did you clip the head unit on the actual opening. Did you just loose fit it in or use the clips on the side ? Mine have a metal bracket but I’m not sure how it clips in exact same as yours

Hi, I got the similar radio and when I try to install it, cables are on the way the radio can't go all the way in 😢 and as I push the radio in the driver's speaker goes off, when I pull out the radio it plays well. Could it be the cabling and how did you deal with cables behind the radio taking up the space?

You would have to clasp the main harness more tighter that’s why your sound is going out, also cable management you need to try and tuck it in either onto the left or right hand side and be gentle otherwise you could damage the stereo, the one in the video is lighter and smaller hence there’s a lot of space to fit the cables, i’ve also installed reverse camera which i will show on a future video 👍🏾💯

Hello try checking the main plug if it’s connected properly push it in as tight as you can before clasping the lock

You have to make sure your key is out of the ignition before installing it sounds like a fuse has gone off watch from 2:46 to fix the fuse for the radio it’s a 15 Amp fuse

I checked the fuse and the fuse seems fine also I installed it with the key in everything is attached now what should I do
