One child of mine did threaten to call the police on me for spanking him. I had my cell phone out dialed 911. I told him if he hit send, if I’m going to jail for child abuse, I’m going to make it my while. He handed the phone back to me and quietly went back to his room. No more threats from him after that.

Children who are not spanked are usually the ones that beat their parents because they learn that there are no consequences for their actions including hitting their parents. Oh and one other thing. Spanking is not child abuse. Child abuse is not putting it where God intended it to be placed, and hitting so hard that it leaves marks instead of getting their attention of what they were doing is wrong when it goes beyond being able to talk to them.
