I love this guy, and it breaks my heart what he went through. NO ONE should ever have to go through something like that. I love Carlos Santana, always have since I was a child. I've had the privilege of going to two of his concerts and they've been just the most wonderful experiences I've ever had.

In 97 I was teaching music in Cambodia to disabled people, blind kids, mine victims, kids barley alive. These kids had nothing. I played for them all types of much from classical to jazz, blues and pop standards. The one artist they all without exception knew and related to was Carlos Santana.

Carlos is a great guy from a gold era in music. Even if he remains a hippy he has nothing to be ashamed about since it was the best era ever.-- It appears that many famous artists raised during the 1940s & 1950s have been through the same terrible stuff as Carlos. Janis Joplin was subjected to abuse..Jimi Hendrix suffered physical abuse. They carry it for yrs. Music is the form of exorcism for them.

I too, was molested by a 18 year old man from the age of 11-13. He told me that if I told anyone he would hurt me or my family and that it was normal for him to touch me and for me to touch him. I now live 5 minutes from the house he committed these acts. It is something that haunts me to this day and I never told my parents until I was about 18 years old because of the confusion, anger, seperation, depression I was going through. People that has never went through it will never understand. I struggle every day even still with suicidal thoughts but I fight on. Love your playing Santana & fight on.

Isn't this year 2014? Who is stuck in the 60's. It's right the opposite what the media stated, as usual. Santana seems to have moved right along with the flow of the current times. Who's stuck here, i guess you, the media... get real You need wisdom. I guess you havn't heard about the saying that through experience you become knowledgable and only wisdom will come through knowledge. Santana is not only an excellent musician but he has also the wisdom which quite a few people lack of these days. Thank you Santana.
