Excellent update, Sir Carl! I think a future video on how to use ToDoist's task management with a a project management tool would be super-helpful. I current use the "PLANNING" folder in Todoist for assembling all of my projects, and I remove the tasks feature just so I can see all of the eventual work steps. Then I duplicate the task in those projects to when I know I'll need to do them by, while making the project name a label name so I can organize them like you shared here, by due date. It's tricky at first but it seems to do the job when you want everything in one place. TEAM PULLEN! 💪

I've done a few of those videos already. I don't personally use a project manager. I prefer the flexibility a notes app gives me. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJasaYZ6rah6ga8

Hey Carl. You inspired me to just use native apple apps for my 2nd brain(except for DayOne cause journaling and also put goal planning there) but my system never been clean. Thank you man!

Carl: another great video! Only thing I have a little bit of a struggle with is locking in regular task times on my calendar, I’m a FT VP for a company and PT Pastor. There are certain times of the day I can keep consistency, but people seek me out and communicating with my team and congregation are vital. How do you block something like that out, or just keep more open time on the calendar?
@Carl_Pullein

The key to this is to make sure you are not micro-managing your calendar. Make sure you have sufficient gaps between sessions of work. I would recommend a minimum of thirty minutes between sessions. This way you give yourself time to respond to messages and requests.

Thanks Carl! I often use grouping for priority. Works great! It would be very cool if you made a video on how to schedule content using a task manager like Todoist and Evernote (or other note taking app), for video/music/graphic producers, influencers, KZbinrs. So also to track processes ("Open", "Editing", "Approved",...). As an alternative to Notion which is used by many for this purpose. You had once made a video about project planning that certainly goes in this direction, but it wasn't specifically for the above mentioned target group. And... have a great weekend ;)

Ooh, I don't have a complex process for that. I make notes on the topic, then record, then edit and post. The only thing I have is Plan KZbin videos, Edit KZbin videos, and Post KZbin videos in Todoist. I've been doing it for such a long time now I don't need any checklists or additional tools. Just record, edit, and post. Matt D'Avella did a great video on managing all this way better than I could do it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKXMgqmehqtrf6M

Wow, thanks a lot Carl! His simple approach is also similar to your idea of having it as simple as possible. He just uses Apple Notes instead of Evernote. Very interesting and extremely helpful! Have a great Saturday 😍

I find it a little tricky to be honest with myself when deciding on the priority. My paranoid self wants me to mark too many tasks Red. It takes some restrain to say to yourself: no, this is not that urgent. Otherwise the list will be overwhelming.

Hi Mike, prioritising is an art, and the best way to get better at your art is to practice. The more you do it, the quicker you learn what a priority is and what is not.

As always, love your videos! But Carl… Labels? Really? I‘ll maybe give it a try. But my system is so lean since I did the online course, and I was quite happy 😂
@Carl_Pullein

If you have a clean and tight system, then labels would not be necessary. But a lot of my clients seem to have hundreds of tasks coming up on the same day and we need a way to break them down into types of work.
