Just a quick walk around the mall, was looking for a new phone but they did not sell the brand i was looking for, still Tilly had a nice time running all over the place...

Hello Andre, so good to hear from you mate, me and Yvonne were only talking about you the other night and saying we had not seen you around lately, so pleased you are well and ok there, yeah we went in lots of shops during my mini sprint around the mall lol, i was looking for a Sony Xperia Z5 phone but they did not sell them, i currently use a Samsung Note, but i wanted this Sony phone mainly for the great videos and pictures it takes, and for the way i live my life this phone would be just ideal for me, plus it's waterproof too, thanks my friend...

Actually Angie we spend most of our time keeping up with her lol, she can run quite fast for a 3 year old..Yeah Yvonne likes filming videos, she just don't like being in them too often which is a shame, but i will talk her into doing some more Karaoke videos soon (smile) thanks my friends, have a nice weekend there...

Ha ha, yeah i am not one that likes shopping Vic, i don't mind going into shops when i am buying gadgets and stuff like that, and Cafe's, but i hate going into supermarkets or out buying clothes, in fact i hate going anywhere which is crowded, and yeah i know what you are thinking what am i doing here, i could not be in a more crowded area than here in Mindanao, and Mindanao is about the size of Ireland, but Ireland has a population of about 6 million but Mindanao has a population of 21 million lol, a fish out of water comes to mind (Grin) cheers mate , have a good one...

I must be honest Derek when i first went to a Mall here in the Philippines i was a bit surprised just how big they were, some of them are huge.. Hey i did smile when i saw your comment about a good place to cool down and relax, well not in this Mall, for a start they turn off the air-con about 2 hours before they actually shut, more often than not the escalators are not working, and if you want something to eat here, like Jollibee or Macdonads, well you have to get here not long after they open, otherwise you wont find anywhere to sit, seriously this is not a place to relax, and when we buy our groceries here i get there just as they are opening, one time i went there in the late afternoon and i was stood in a queue at the checkout for over an hour, i actually thought i was gonna pass out, and i am quite a fit person, but i could not help but wonder what the older people must have been going through, the supermarket is a total disaster zone lol, cheers mate, appreciate your comment...

Yeah was a bit disappointed about about the phone Nathan, i was looking for a Sony Xperia Z5, they have an amazing camera on them and take great photos and videos, the phone i use at the moment is a Samsung Note which are very good phones, but the Sony Z5 is waterproof, takes better videos and has the best battery life of any phone out there at the moment, i will get one but will probably have to go to Cagayan De Oro to buy one, or wait until i go back to England, cheers mate, you have a great new week there...

Hi Carl funny I've only ever owned IPhones but from what everyone says the camera in the Samsung devices are a lot better. The waterproof functionality would be very handy Good luck in your search:).

I think it can be quite handy MS having all one may be looking for under one roof, when i am back in England i tend to do all my shopping in good old Tesco, they sell everything in there these days, from food, clothes, electrical's, your petrol, and just about anything you can think of, plus you get free parking, and you don't have all that hassle of walking around town normally in the rain lol, cheers mate, enjoy the new week...

***** Yes I agree but because of the internet the even the big shops are now closing as they can sell all items online and most younger people luv all being delivered , it means loads of closed shops .. and even cash is now being got rid off so you have to use your card instead .. ok for some but where are all the jobs going to come from , we have no banks now where I live only one supermarket , even our chemist is now on the list to be closed .. that's my rant for the day lol , enjoy your week too :) ms

Yeah the last time i went back to England i noticed just how many shops had shut down our local high street, and i asked one of the traders down there why so many high street shops were shutting, and he said because the local council are charging too much for the rent for these high street shops, plus the parking charges keep going up which means people avoid going into town, and yeah a lot of people back in England are doing their shopping online.. Cash is king here MS, not many places take cards, they all want cash, but in the UK it seems that cash will soon become a thing of the past.. Whenever i am back in England i always do all my shopping in Tesco, apart from when i get on Ebay that is, i love shopping on Ebay, i buy all my music on there plus my DVD's.. Hey it's good to have a rant my friend, it clears ones tubes lol, cheers mate...

Hi Louella, well i have been in Iligan City for just over 4 years now, and in just my short time i have seen it change so much, it seems nearly every time i go out there is a new building going up, and there is also a giant Robinson mall which is nearly complete, yeah iligan city is very much a city on the up, many thanks for your comment...

Carl, I thought at first you were passing the escalators off as amusement rides for Tilly! LOL I got by with that a few times with our kids, however now they know where the amusement area is in our SM Mall. It is hard to keep them out of that area. Lol, yeah i never thought of it like that Steve, i guess they are fun rides for kids, cheap ones too (Big Grin) but yeah i have been training her on them escalators, she used to be a bit scared of using them but she's doing OK on them now, but i have a funny story of my late mother and an escalator going back many years now, well she liked the odd drink from time to time, and on one occasion she was out with my older brother and had had a few drinks too many, well they came out of the bar which was at the Southend on sea Victoria train station, she put one foot on this escalator outside the station, and forgot to put her other foot on, and in no time at all she was going up this escalator laying upside down., and someone shouted out "press the stop button i think she's dead" lol, i should not laugh really as she could have hurt herself, but luckily she didn't, but when my brother told me i laughed so much i nearly peed myself, and i'm laughing now too remembering it, cheers my friend...

Oh i don't like laughing at other peoples misfortunes Steve, "Honest" (Grin) but i am am always the first to laugh at myself when i have had embarrassing moments, i think one of the most embarrassing moments i have had was when i went into a cafe once with my family back in England, and ordered myself a "Big Breakfast" The full English one, and they are huge, well they had these stupid plastic chairs in there, and yeah you guessed it, as when i sat on mine it collapsed and i ended up on the floor, but i quickly stood up and i could see people trying not to laugh, but when i shouted out to the cafe owner, "Make that a small breakfast now" and then everyone burst out laughing, far better to laugh at ones self before others do, cheers Steve...

Well since all the trouble in Marawi there has been many more Muslims in the mall, as most of them are now living in Iligan City, and everyone seems to be getting on real well together, and my new neighbours who fled from Marawi are Muslims too, and they are real nice people, i actually felt a bit sorry for them, as they fled with pretty much just the clothes they stood in, and they had not been in their new home long when it got flooded after some heavy rain, but am pleased to say they got through it OK, thanks for watching...

Well we got two Gaisano malls here in Iligan City, and this one is the better of the two, and this mall is quite good apart from the supermarket that is, it totally lets the whole of the mall down, it's like a supermarket from the 1970's, seriously it's that bad, on the good side there is a Robinson's Mall currently being built, and it's gonna have everything there, from top of the range cinemas to a hotel, and i can guarantee the supermarket there will be an up to date one lol, and that's where i will be doing all my shopping from then on, thanks for your comment...

Ha ha, no it's not Nancy, she's at that age when she quite often just runs off without looking behind to see if we are still there, most of the time it's OK when she does that in a safe place like this mall, but when we are out on the road i always hold her hand, or walk around with her on my shoulders which is my preferred way of travelling around with Tilly.. Yeah me and Tilly are very close but then we are together 24/7, and Yvonne quite often films us when we are out and about, i had thought about getting a selfie stick, but to be honest i have seen other people using them and it's really not me, i would feel like a total prat walking around with one of them lol, it's not a man thing to be doing (Big Grin) thanks Nancy, have a good one...
