It gets better...it really does. It seems like it never will, like it will always hurt like it does right now...but it doesn't. I'm 55 now and I've been in love with this man since I was 16. We couldn't be together because he was married. Someone I knew told me that his wife passed away and I saw him again. I was 45 then. He was the love of my life and we could be together. He was 68 then. He lied and led me on and made me plan our wedding just to go down to his house at the shore and he stoppedcalling me for 2 or 3 years then would call me. 3 times he did this with no explanation or reason...NOTHING. I would never go back to him if he ever called again. The pain was too much but I feel so much better now. I deserve better then him.

My youngest daughter got married in July 2019. First child in August 2021. Her Ex kick her out in February 2022 (had a new girlfriend). Their divorce was final in February 2023. This song hits on everything that happened - along with Carly's song "What he didn't do".

No changes were made. I had to make the hardest decision I’ve ever made. He is a fantastic guy just not the man I thought I had. Prayers and blessings for his future romances.
