Attn young people: that pain of a break up seems really hard, like “there’s no way I’m going to get through this” - but listen to me, humbly, I’m telling you, as painful as it is - that love, that heart ache you feel is what makes life good. Sounds contrary, I know. But believe me, like the old saying goes “better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.” And it’s true though you can’t see it now. The intensity of the emotion you feel is life - when you are old (like me) you will look back on it and think how wonderful it was to love someone so intensely - even if it didn’t work out. I know. Been through it many times. And I look back on those times, as painful as they were, with great memories. You’ll see. Hang in there. Life is grand. Praise God always.

Love this. Went through what I thought would be the end of me from my ex...and now love has been re-awakened and I'm ready to give it to someone else. It really does heal and it is beautiful to know that you can give it.

Am I the only one that doesn't just use this as a breakup song? I use the chorus to reflect on life, "the high the hurt the shine the sting" and a bunch if memories flash through my mind. I love the raw emotion in her voice, it even happened in concert, she is one of my new favorite singers! Can't wait for some more songs about how much better her life is doing since her songs took off!

My husband of 36 yrs left me for a 38 yr old anesthetist/ massage girl about 2 yrs ago. We are still married but living apart. He gave up his family and friends for her, and she’s married and not leaving her husband until her daughter is 18+.if ever. I thought I couldn’t breath , I was lost , broken and lonely. Love and missed him so much. Our 33 yr old son was such a great protector for me. Then I heard this song. Perfect. Timing! My husband lives in Cape Coral Fl and I still live in our home. He doesn’t want a divorce . I sent him this song so he would know how I feel. And we are over now. Thank God for getting me to this point. Bless you for this song. It’s touched so many people in so many ways.🙏🙏❤️

Love this woman's voice and music. Took far to long and nothing but regret and pain looking in the mirror and realizing your the problem and need to be better for the person you felt was the one since you met them. Tried so hard in so many ways and cared so much only to sabotage everything because you don't know how to handle certain situations or emotions is tough. Been almost a year and still a hard lesson to learn. This woman's music is amazing and has so much heart and meaning to it.

For me personally, some of the BEST songs are the ones where the artist is singing about a subject that the average person has been through or can relate from...those songs that REALLY connect with a listener, and makes them THINK...not just entertains them. Recently heard a country song on my car radio called 'She's Somebody's Daughter'. I Googled it to find the video, and I had was welling up with tears listening to the lyrics and watching the video. I'm 56 years old, never been married or ever had kids ..but it really made me think about whatvit would be like to be a PARENT whose own daughter was mistreated or abused by their boyfriend or husband...or even WORSE...a perfect stranger. Because that doesn't just hurt the daughter...it ALSO
@KurtisHall9 ай бұрын
hurts everybody who actually cares about and LOVES her. It's a fact I kept in mind the 20 years I was a long-haul trucker dealing with countless attttractive young waitresses and coffee baristas who confided in me stories of sexual harrassment from grown men the would make ANY father's fists clench and blood boil, and that PROTECTIVE INSTINCT kick into high gear!😠😖😡

Listen to her new album. Lots of potential country hits and she has that talent to outreach Miranda over time. At the same time, I've gotten kind of tired of Lambert's music (Tin Man, Vice, We Can Be Friends and Little Red Wagon aren't her best singles and they aren't that memorable to me). Carly's a breath of fresh air and instantly charming. Hopefully she can have the same run Sara Evans had or better.

I used to listen to sappy love songs when I was lonely; as long as they still brought me to tears, I thought, "there's still hope for me, I can still feel something deeply"; after being shunned in high school by the females I desired, it really took a toll on my self-confidence; nothing is worse than feeling unlovable; it sucks when U wind up building an emotional wall because U can't trust anyone to fully love as we should; when the right person comes into your life, make them earn your trust

This song makes me cry because I remember "every little thing" with someone who shattered my heart. 💔 But.....time heals all wounds, and I'll always be thankful to have experienced a love that deep.

I don't want to end up like her, and neither do I like repeating songs (no matter how good they are) cos I try to keep them as fresh as possible, but this song is so good that I have it on replay!!

Every Little Thing Carly Pearce The scent that you left on my pillow The sound of your heart beating with mine The look in your eyes like a window The taste of your kiss soaked in wine Every little thing I remember every little thing The high, the hurt, the shine, the sting Of every little thing Guess you forgot what you told me Because you left my heart on the floor Baby, your ghost still haunts me But I don't want to sleep with him no more Every little thing I remember every little thing The high, the hurt, the shine, the sting Of every little thing I remember every little thing The high, the hurt, the shine, the sting Of every little thing They say time is the only healer God, I hope that isn't right 'Cause right now I'd die to not remember Every little thing I remember every little thing The high, the hurt, the shine, the sting Every little thing I remember every little thing I'm haunted by the memories of Every little thing The high, the hurt, the shine, the sting Every little thing

Really girls ? Why he gone ?why you miss him so hard? Cause he was an A hole? And girls always like the bad boy.. Or else he'd be in your arms. So go find a nice guy who's not a player.that confidence swag that attracts you, attracts other women.

This song should only apply to one person in your past. Because if you didn't change after that pain you don't deserve someone. This pain is so bad you really do think you can die from it. Left my ex and I cried on the bathroom floor for months at night. It took everything to not take him back.

Let's hope she doesn't sell her soul for Nashville pop. This is one of the few good songs on country radio right now.
@federicorocca11257 жыл бұрын
yeah you know, that's the jason aldean-like society: you have to sing about trucks and beer, and if you're woman you have to sing about how you want to be screwed on the pickup truck. Either way Country Radio will not play your music. Meanwhile their awesome Jason Aldean will score #1 hits singing garbage like They Don't Know, Gonna Know We Were here or My kinda party
@federicorocca11257 жыл бұрын
BigBrainOnMusic I don't even care what position aldean hit with his crap, it's still a fake and bought position. Radio is too corrupted. Yeah Joah Turner, Maddie and Tae and William Michael Morgan are excellent. Joe Nichols and Brad Paisley are. Alan Jackson and George Strait. but radio screws them because they want to touch different topics
@jamisteven17 жыл бұрын
There is no "selling your soul to pop", there are people who have made it, and people who have not. Getting paid a decent amount of money to sing and produce music is making it, not selling ones soul.
@rockpaperscissors827 жыл бұрын
It's sad when "making it" requires making compromises with the art that one truly desires to make. Of course, if one desires to do pop, then that's fine. But no artist should feel pressured to conform to the fickle trends of radio programmers, and that's my point. That's why "country" radio is so formulaic right now -- same lyrics, same beats, with only minor, superficial variations.

When I was going through a divorce this song was incredibly powerful, almost 8 years later and very much happily married to my true best friend it has a different sound now. I just listen and think about how broken I was but I do it with a smile now. Time definitely healed me.
