This song touched my soul! My ex was an alcoholic to the point he drank mouthwash! He was abusive mentally and physically for 7 years! I’m legally blind, with only one eye! I was born with a detached retina and they never caught it in time to reattach it! It eventually developed glaucoma in my mid 20s and I had to have it removed so my right eye is now a prosthetic! So I can’t drive and I felt stuck and have had no self esteem all my life! I’m 36! I used to weigh almost 300lbs! I went to my senior prom alone! But I’ve stuck with guys that always treated me horribly! Counting my guy now, I have only had 5 serious relationships! This year I finally got the courage to put him out for good! He would say things like why don’t you just die and i hate you and your family when he was drunk! He even lied and had mr arrested for no reason! He was drunk and abusive and my mom and sister was on Facebook video chat with me and they called the police to help me and he lied and I was sober and you could clearly see no black eye! It was a rough 7 years! But my guy now I got with in May! I had a crush on him soon after I moved in here! I rent his mamaw and papaws house from his uncle! He got out of prison in May and his trailer had been burnt deliberately! No one was living there and the breaker was kicked off! My bf at the time kept saying his trailer needed to burn and then not long before he got out it did just that! We think it was my ex cause I walked out on the porch and saw him walking from that way! There was supposedly video proof but idk! My ex lives next door and my bf lives with me! It’s hard on our relationship being right next door to him! He has a foundation ready to build on but we have no one to help us get started. But we are from Kentucky too and my bf is obsessed with you Carley! He loves your and Ashley’s duet!! We are from East Kentucky! I’m on ssi but I’d love to surprise him with tickets to one of your concerts someday! You are so beautiful and talented! God Bless and congrats on your big cma win!!!
