Before you try cloth diapers watch this! When I had my first baby I knew I wanted to try cloth diapering. I did soooo much research and knew that I wanted to learn as much as possible before using cloth diapers. Before getting started with cloth diapers I looked for the best diapers, easiest washing routines, and generally just the lowest maintenance possible. I knew if it were complicated I wouldn't follow through on consistently using them. I'm proud to say that after an entire year, we're still loving and using our cloth diapers! Our cloth diaper routine is super simple + easy and I'm not kidding, if I can do it ANYONE can do it. You will thank me later for getting this info before beginning with cloth diapers so you're ready to hit the ground running.

Yes! Flushable anything, other than waste and tp is a lie. Tampons, tushy wipes etc no no no!!! Just because your own house isn’t backing up doesn’t mean it isn’t causing a problem somewhere down the line.

@@benharper3036 I looked into it a bit, as well, and apparently the sheet can get caught up in other things in the sewage pipes (eg hair, floss, grease, etc) which would apparently make the sheet stronger and resistant from breaking down. Still trying to look into this a bit more, like if it's still as bad for it to end up at the landfill even if it is biodegradable.

Hi! Love love your videos! I got the La Mere bag and pack it really similar to you because of your video so I feel really confident going out with my newborn so THANK YOU! I wanted to ask if you use any diaper liners for your cloth diapers and if so which ones. In a couple of months (probably) we’re going to start solids and I want to be prepared. We don’t have the option of installing bidet/spray bucket so I’m trying to find other solutions. Thanks so much for your videos and your time!

I purchased some newborn cloth diapers on Amazon, they fit 7 to 10 lbs! Noras nursery diapers are very large on my little newborn, even with the nb hack! She is a month old and finally 8 lbs. I used disposables when we first came home because she was 6 lbs and fit into preemie diapers. Then I did half disposable half cloth for the rest of the month and that's what we continue to do now because she's so tiny! My noras cover her whole body lol it's cute though

If there's poop we try to spray it off the same day! Not always immediately, but usually we don't let it sit overnight. There are times we forget or don't get around to it and it's not a huge deal. I don't spray pee diapers at all before washing.

@@bvbArmyforever2013 the rises coordinate roughly with the baby’s weight. 8-15, 15-25, 25-35. So first adjust diaper according to weight, then snap leg snaps to be snug around leg, then loosely snap top snaps. In the video the diaper is pulling around the snaps and rolling down at the top. Those are all signs that the fit could be better adjusted and will lead with wicking onto baby’s clothes.

Exactly, biodegradable in the landfill does not mean it can be flushed. I used to flush tampies and tushy wipes until I had to call in a plumber because my kitchen sink and laundry sink were having issues. He really frankly told me that flushable anything, other than bodily waste and tp is a marketing gimmick and NOT a real thing. Literally begged me never to do it again and to tell my friends. Told me that Plumbers deal with tampon issues so often they refer to it as ‘the white mouse’ amongst them selves.
