@@bobbyurbina4488…actually it’s one of the best built, stiffest and rugged chassis ever produced in the car world…🤷🏻‍♂️

This turned into quite an epic little review. Really enjoyed this and the air suspension tech has me interested now. Will have to take it for a test drive, if it isn't too big for our roads. Thanks guys

Really nice work behind the camera! 👏🏼 I can't afford to talk about the nicest & most luxurious off-roader on 🌎!

Excessive praising as expected since this was clearly sponsored by JLR with all expenses covered. It would have been an acceptable presentation if the word "sponsored" was added to the title.

Tire/rim sizes of 275/45 R22 to 255/60 R20 are entirely or largely inadequate for sand driving. I've been living and off-roading in the Middle East for 12 years. Preferred tire/rim sizes are xxx/70 R17, xxx/75 R16 and xxx/85 R16. When these tires are deflated to 12-15 psi they offer superior traction in sand. Deflating 275/45 R22 tires has little to no effect. Electronic terrain systems do not come close. On long, remote desert trips like e.g. to the Nafud or the Rub Al-Khali, you see only Toyota Landcruiser (mostly 70, 100, 200 series), Jeep Wrangler and vintage Nissan Patrol and Xterra. For more than one reason.

Gerry McGovern didn’t want people to say Land Rover Range Rover - so that makes this a JLR Defender.
@lgvd94
@lgvd94 Жыл бұрын
Nope. JLR is the parent company, Defender is the brand, 130 is the model. You dont say JLR Defender just as you dont say Toyota Lexus LX. Land Rover is there for the badge for aesthetic and nolstagic reasons.

@@lgvd94 yes I know, I was implying that the title of the video is incorrect. You can no longer say Land Rover Range Rover, so you can’t say Land Rover Defender either.

It used to, in the old one. The new one just kept the names, but the wheelbases are totally different now, not corresponding to these numbers.

If you buy it, expect it to spend more time at dealer's repair shop than in your garage.

Same with Porsche; anything italian; Cadillac; GMC Acadia (2.25 Stars on every website) Lambos' Astons, Morgan's, basically anything Brit. The list is endless really. The only 2 cars worthy of their plrice tags are Toyota engines and Mercedes engines. I crawled into a SEL Benz cab after landing in NZ and saw the Odometer as I perused his licenses and meter and starting charge meter to make sure he wasn't gouging the "dumb fat Yankee" just to see 525,000 milles on the ODO. I started laughing and asked how many engines he's put in it over 7 years? He said all I do is change the oil buy tyres and brakes. No engine issues ever and only ever replaced a CV joint. Made a believer outta me. Besides the new INEOS that have yet to make it stateside I'm paying close attention to the P90 HSE prices and reliability reviews. You can pick up a 2023 SE w/16000miles (lease return) for $36000k right now on cars dot com . Complete w/prem stereo sunroof TURBO! SAT/nav; Leather interior. Electric gate. Premium headlights that blind everyone and don't auto dim per every review written ever. all the boy toys an average guy could want without going Asian. after haggling i may gwt it for $32 once the 2025s land. and it does look brand new. Do I have the usual JLR realibility concerns? Hell yes. Is it a DEFENDER the world's most indestructible UV? Yes. But considering a 110 loaded (autobiography or signature whatever their top trim is called STARTS at $115k Since i prefer the P9 HSE and for a pre-owned WITH a JLR CPO warranty in Dallas w/ 16k miles on it for $38k plus a clean carfax AWD off course I only hate that it's pearl white (that cost $500 extra)! I want the black one in the Wimbledon adverts!! That's a stunning SUV. Hard to say no to. Looking at X5/Q7/GLE's and F Sweies. Can't touch a used 2024 for under $50k-80k. If the P90s depreciate like BMW 7 series or porxhe Cayennes? (70% over 5 yrs) with a 2-3 yrcold and CPO at a 65% discount? Just may be worth rolling the dice in this kne. Stay away from the 2021 Evoques. The valves are factory defective as is the infotainment screen and engines with e5k are blowing up ywtvJLR with the amazing 3 yr warranty will take care of that right? 2024-2021. Nope. SOL! (And despite being voted X&D SUV of the year. I'd only consider the Rover Sport but there again your at $85k new. And no haurantee it won't be in the shop 6 months outta the year. Itsxa roll I fvthe dice. Pick the ones that aren't blowing up! How otter 15 years they stay in biz and charge 6 figures abd still sell them I s beyond me? Not to mention depreciation sigh.
