It's a shame Israel hasn't pushed harder for better grade-separated public transit. They could really use it -- there's so much automobile dependency there.

They're finally making moves. Jerusalem is building 2 more light rail lines and extending the existing one, Tel Aviv is building 3 right now, with a metro under consideration.

You should check the new Haifa University - Merkazit Hamifratz central station cable car, which is actually used as a public transport
