@Star Killer the east was so weak that the NBA had to change the all star format from Team East vs Team West to (for example) Team Lebron vs Team Giannis. Nobody wanted to see lebron in the team east with a bunch of bums against the best players in team west. Another reason the east is so weak is that Lebron made it to the finals with those bums on his team when he was on the cavs. He went 7 games with pacers and celtics. If he was in the west and he faced the rockets it wouldve been over for lebron in game 5

As a Heat fan I don’t know how I feel about this. It could have been amazing and we could have went on to win more championships but at the same time Bosh was exactly what we needed. He sacrificed so much so that Lebron and Wade could do what they do. Sad for Melo to a degree but glad it worked out the way it did, I don’t know if he would have been willing to step back like Wade and Bosh did.
@ApolloSol5 жыл бұрын
I mean, correct me if I remember wrong, but we didn't really have much size even with Bosh. We would have been pretty small with Melo. Plus, he and Lebron played the same position. So, you move Lebron to the 4. Lets not forget, Birdman was a late pickup and who knows if we would have got him and Ray later on. I'm happy how things turned out. I love it when players are honest and sincere about the reflections of their choices. I loved Carmelo's angle/approach at flipping the narrative in the form of a question. He painted the picture detailing his perspective/perception at the time. He articulated how he made what he felt was the best decision at the time based on the information that was available to him. He also acknowledged that he was young and inexperienced and his mentality. He took a stand against these narratives head on.

@@yrgsam9792 It's not that people forgot Melo can score. The narrative is that Melo is a ball dominant, inefficient scorer who disrupts offenses. He is too egotistical to change his mindset about how he scores or his role on the team and he is not good enough in other aspects of the game to make up for this. It's a bit hyperbolic to me, but that's what it is right now. Look in the comment section, that's what people think of him. Melo wouldnt fit in Big 3 with Bron and Wade...he’s too selfish, Bosh was perfect fit to these two

smoovkid j Hell no. Miami didn’t need more offense with Lebron and Wade they needed guys who can do dirty work like rebound, play defense, intangible stuff. Bosh is a better fit because he didn’t mind taking a lesser role on offense. Melo would not take the role of being a 2nd or 3rd option especially in his prime.

@@supermoneymagnet1 he would've been the #2 tho. His shooting was terrific and LeBron would just set him up easily

My husband literally predicted Melo's career the night Syracuse won the title. He said that he would care more about the scoring title than the NBA title. Je said the way he would win the title is when he is in his mid 30s and he accepts a his role as a 2nd ord 3rd option starter or on the bench while his young teammates win the ring. My husband argued this point to many people who said that he was bugging and now look. Wow. He also that same year said that KG would only win a ring in Minnesota if they trade for Paul Pierce!

Lee Fitness, Spirituality &Tarot and Astrology You are right. At the same time, think of how many youngstaz hit the league that come from the bottom. Them boys thinkin bout that paper and taking care of their family. Like he said, he had to grow up.
