If you notice, as Carmilla takes her hair down when Vaggie say that she's not used to fighting with long hair. Carmilla was telling her to not make excuses.

Fun fact, in this episode, and this episode alone, Alastor is behaving differently *immediately* upon Rosie entering the scene. His timid little wave he gives her, and he not only lets her take center stage, but he outright lets her essentially manhandle him when she goes to embrace him. That little squeak sound effect he made is also the sound a baby deer makes when it's super happy. He is also just smiling in a much more timid, genuinely soft way while she's around. Then, for the *entire* episode, Alastor, ALASTOR, takes the role as a background side character, the closest he ever got to center screen is in his 1:1 duet with Rosie near the end of the song. This kind of thing is something he would never, ever tolerate with anyone else, the dude is a control freak with a need for attention, but around Rosie he is genuinely just chill. Then, around the end of the song, he accidentally distracts himself when talking about Charlie's potential and starts looking at her with those, ah, alastor eyes of his, before Rosie promptly pulls him back into the song as if to say "Down boy, one thing at a time", and he not only goes with it but continues loving it. Alastor being who he is means he's probably on edge like, all the time, because he doesn't trust anyone else because he knows nobody else should trust him. And then there's Rosie, who shatters all of that instantly for the rest of the episode. She really does seem like his comfort person.

I’d love to know more about Rosie like how Alastor’s and her friendship came about was it like Mimzy they knew each other when they were alive or did it start when Alastor first appeared in Hell and she helped him when he was in a vulnerable point in his afterlife or something.

There's also the line "She'll pass the test as Princess of Hell" to as you say Alastor follow it with "Potential I could guide" then they both say "I concere you'll be on the winning side" Which makes me want to know what the undertone o those few words are? Are Alastors and Rosie working towards some that involves manipulating Charlie or are they genuinely trying to help Charlie understand her full potential for the good of hell or does Alastors have different motivation concerning his shackles.

Something I noticed, Alastor's deal isn't that it will harm no-one, it's that Charlie, specifically, will harm no-one. Harm is still very much on the table as long as it's not directly by her hand. The "at a time of my choosing" is worrying too, because it means that whatever it is, if it's in Charlie's power, she can't refuse, no matter when he asks. Alastor is a skilled manipulator, he knows exactly how to hide the binding rules of the deal in light, casual wording. It's well done, and it's definitely going to come back to bite Charlie later, that will be fun :D

8:23 I think Vaggie believed that angels are invincible, but that she herself is no longer one because she faltered in her crusade, so she personally lost her invincibility.

That or maybe she didnt try to regenerate her wings and eye because that would make it clear to Charlie she is an angel. Charlie believed she is a sinner that was wounded during an extermination, thats how she found Vaggie. But when Carmila pointed it out she did try it and her eye didnt regenerate since that was cut out with an angelic blade but her wings did since they were ripped off by Lute not cut off.

She no longer has her halo, the source of what gave her Light protection via soul energy. People in hell use contracts to obtain more soul energy to use and imbue things with power while halos in heaven utilize soul energy for specific purposes like shield and energy. Angelic steel is imbued with Light energy and cancels out the shielding. Fight fire with fire.

8:38 her wings were pulled off by hand, not with an angelic weapon. Which is probably why her wings grew back, but not her eye. I'm guessing angel weapons are the only thing that can do permanent damage to anyone in this series

Yes and no. It was stated by Viv that angelic weapons are needed to kill demons and angels that were mortals. Thats why they worked on sinners and exterminators and Adam, they were human once. But to kill someone like Lucifer or Sera they would not work, they could wound them but not kill them.

@@blueknight8428 what they say in the show is what the characters think and sometimes its true. (Like believing angels are invulnerable, till proven otherwise). What you can see on the show is that hellborn can be killed by hellmade weapons, and the chracters in the show believe they need angelic weapons to kill Stolas. I dont remember if it was shown in Hellova Boss that higher ranking hellborn can survive a fatal wound from hellmade weapons that dont contain angelic steel. If you do then refresh my memory. What I am definetly sure is angelic weapons dont work on angels of seraphim rank and higher (that was confirmed by Vivien herself in an interview).

My favourite theory of what Alistor's favour will be is...Alistor believes he may need to kill someone in the hotel and when he does he will ask Charlie for her forgiveness. A favour at the time of his choosing where nobody gets hurt.

I have a feeling Alastor might twist the wording of that deal because it sounded like "one favor, at a time of my choosing" but it could be twisted to one favor at a time that he chooses each time, like one favor at once but multiple favors overall. Idk it would be an interesting manipulation of wording and I would love to see that.

The thing about Alastor’s deal is that “a favor where Charlie harms no one” is incredibly vague. Alastor could make Charlie stand aside while he hurts/kills someone, or give him something that makes him more powerful or more dangerous.

I think Alastor's deal is more haunting BECAUSE it sounded so innocent. For example, he said one favour "at a time", so not just one. It's not a quantifiable amount so she can never be 'done' with her side of it. Also, the other condition was she SHE would harm noone. So her favour wouldn't be her harming someone directly. It is very possible that she would do something that could then lead to an outcome that causes harm. For example, if he asked her to break him free of his own deal. That act itself wouldn't hurt anyone, but it could still cause harm if Alastor uses that freedom to hurt someone else

Heres my guess about alastors deal, a bit of a fan theory, little spoiler warning because this video is on episode 7 not 8 lending something or giving something to a friend in need would be doing them a favor, so i have a sneaking suspicion that he'll be in distress because of his leash (im assuming lilliths deal) then ask charlie for her soul for more power, because he cant ask her to hurt anyone for him, and maybe that would give him enough to overpower lillith or convince her to let the deal go. Just maybe. But we'll see

(Sorry for length. I'm just thorough with my thoughts is all.) Also, Carmilla and one of her daughters don't have horns either. She wears a headband with horns on them. My for fun running theory is her daughters are both adopted and she used to be a seraph. She took over after Lucifer fell. She used to design and make things, including weapons for heaven to fight with but it all changed after she met the first girl in heaven. The girls were like sisters when they were alive on Earth. One went topside while the other went to hell for the "sin" of accidently killing someone out of fear when trying to protect them both. Carmilla heard her story and the torment she suffered knowing her sister was in hell. Carmilla contested their separation and denounced the broken system. She left, went to hell with the girl and found her sister. She adopted them both and promised to keep them safe. Became an overlord and accrued power and name recognition by creating and selling weapons. Emily was then chosen and given the task of trying to keep people happy while Sera took over the rest. She watched two seraphs become fallen for questioning and calling out the broken system, and she genuinely cares about Emily and doesn't want her to fallen any similar path, so she kept what was going on secret to protect her from anything that might pull her in the same direction. Knowing of her predecessors, both chose to question, disobey, and/or flat out abandoned heaven because or it's unfair rules and hypocrisy. The exterminators targeting the girls and Carmilla on Sera's orders to clean up loose ends and hide the potential of Em learning about their past together.

Vaggie Motha and her new wings. Similar things with wings has happened in life action Lucifer serial when angel come true some mental "redemption". Razzle and Dazzle are like Keekey they are toys Lucifer bring to life. Rosie's talk reminds me of Franklin from Pilot episode who was moust likely her friend maybe even.

First off, I just wanna say you have the BEST laugh. I kept rewinding parts just to listen to it. Second, I saw that bit of gay panic you had for Carmilla during Out for Love 😏. I had it too don't worry 😅 Third, it's been theorized that Vaggie believed angels could only be harmed by another angel and were not capable of being harmed by sinners which is the reason for her confusion about Carmilla killing one. There's a bunch of other theories, but this is the one I believe.
