Subscribed and this site is brilliant. Awhile ago I knew someone who was a NJ Devils fan and then he told me his uncles were Carmine and Vinnie Appice. I knew about Carmine's issues and according to him Mr. Appice didn't even want to bring Vinnie up. Vinnie Vincent was like Icarus- that level of self destructive. I love his playing and his songs, but HE ABANDONED EVERY PROJECT HE WAS IN! He trashed Mark Slaughter onstage. I side with Appice- Vinnie is a great talent who destroyed all he created.

I like Vinnie's work on the Warrior demos he recorded with the guys from New England. He shredded on a few of the songs but he didn't overdo it. I do enjoy VVI but i agree the guitar on those albums is really overwhelming and almost distracting at times, especially on the first album.

Maybe but first he didn’t have the connections like Carmen said. Carmen did. Second he went back on his word which back then meant way more than it does for so many today. I personally lived by that type of moto. If I say I’m gonna do something it becomes who I am. When I follow through on my word I build trust. If I go back on my word I’m full of crap. And I still believe that today and with other people. If someone doesn’t follow through except in extreme cases like a mother dying. If they could follow through and don’t I want nothing to do with them. It’s an integrity thing and some have none!

I interviewed Vinnie once while the Invasion was opening for Iron Maiden. I remember many things (the wig, the fingerless lace gloves, the demure handshake) but the best part was when he said Maiden wanted them for an opener to attract more women to the shows. I don’t think they had lesbians in mind though.

Vinnie Vincent is good at writing the kind of material he writes, but the kind of material he writes is schmaltz. So many people consider *Creatures of the Night* a great album despite the fact that it sounds nothing like Kiss; it sounds like a cornball '80s hair metal band. (Naturally enough, since that sort of thing was Vinnie Vincent's specialty and he played such a major role in the creation of the album.) The one saving grace of *Creatures* is "War Machine."

Kiss as a whole was a sellout They tried grunge , They hired somebody to replace Ace from a kiss tribute band and not only does he wear his makeup He also copies his guitar playing style and his moves that he made on stage WAFJ, They took the makeup off saying people were still come see them.. They damn near went bankrupt had to put the makeup back on to start selling tickets again so it's people going to listen to the music or to watch people run around and make up I mean it's a honest question the facts state that people go to watch people run around in make up, If not they would have continued to sell out shows when they took it off I don't know You tell me I used to be a huge kiss fan

I know there’s a lot of harsh words thrown at Vinnie. But as long as he doesn’t mess with kids I believe live and let live. He’s really quirky and had a weird ego and now looks like a old woman. My ex girlfriend from the 80’s loved him so I kinda had to act like I like his playing. When I saw the VVI and that video he did playing a thousand notes a minute with no rhyme or reason I just couldn’t hold it anymore. I told her come on now he sucks I mean he’s got talent he could really do some good stuff but it’s all gimmicks and stuff that’s already been done. There’s literally no originality to it. He’s trying to come across as dangerous but looks like a little girl. It doesn’t add up. If he would just stick to playing decently instead of being something he’s not he could go much further. I said people will see right through this once he tours enough. Well that was the end of our relationship shortly after that 🤣🤣🤣

Vinnie’s looking awful strange. When he showed up to participate in Gene Simmons Vault music gathering he was wearing a ladies pantsuit with a girly wig and reddish lips. Very odd. It should be noted Vinny has sued Kiss over 30 times for royalties he wasn’t entitled to. He burn’s bridge’s with everyone. Vinny drove up to Gene’s meeting in a clunker of a car. It was a rag with bald tire’s a hole in the muffler and needed a jump start to leave the venue.

Let’s face it - he played for Kiss - enough said. When I was younger back in the early 70’s - anyone who liked Kiss was a young child - like 10 years old or so. To older kids - including myself at about 15 - Kiss was a joke. And to this day - anyone who likes Kiss was obviously born 4-5 years before me. And now these kids have turned into adults - and bring their young kids to watch these fools. Even the radio stations back in the early 70’s use to laugh at Kiss. Hey - the fact is they’re good performers - but musically talent wise they’re really not very good. Just my opinion.
