I did and need some more luck got a very beautiful lesson in slippage today. Also to be careful on the button cause i accidentally ordered 10 options contracts on tsla today lol, sold fast lost 60 bucks, but scared the shit out of me. I try to make sure my understanding is just a little bit better everyday, and not over trading or overspending my money. I work as an ICU nurse, and i feel like that was so intimidating until I just hung in there and learned everyday. I'm thankful for the opportunity to learn this.

Depends on your aggression and depends on the spread. If I’m passive (let the market come to me) i will limit on the bid to buy or limit on ask to sell. If I’m aggressive, i will market in if spread is tight

Do you usually stick to 1-2 OTM options for these? I'm learning to trade with Supply & Demand on SPY and QQQ on a small account and am not having as much success if I go 3+ OTM, which I've been doing to size properly. Seems like I need to just suck it up and risk more of the account each trade (or get more capital into the account) as long as I'm positioned well risk/reward-wise.

Yes, SPY was nice yesterday. At open, came down to test Thursday's high, then ran up to premarket high. Level to level. With day trading options, I keep just 4 charts up: SPY, QQQ, Apple, and usually AMD or FB.

How does this work with the PDT rule? I have just over 1000. I'm on Webull. Turned it into 3000 and now down to 1200. Just stocks and newbie mindsets frustrated with manipulated stocks etc. I have been stopped 2x now for PDT violations and have been forced to hold bags that depleted profits. I'm fairly fresh. I've seen other KZbin teachers show a different way of options.. More long term as opposed to as the way you demonstrated. Thanks for the video! I did hit the like button! 😇😎😀

Are you using margin on webull? I have 1k in there also. And I dont get hit the pdt rule.. I think it warns me of it. But I believe it is a bug.. I use robinhood also. But that's just 3 day trades a week..

Thanks Carmine! I’m still working on my consistency, but journaling has definitely helped a lot by forcing me to reflect and think critically on what I was actually doing. It’s also hard with having a full time job and trying to have some skin in the game. I’ve been setting OCO conditional orders on TOS with trailing stops for profit targets and market sells for stoploss which has been workin pretty well. I’m trying to figure out a strategy where I can swing trade options without losing so much on theta burn, but it’s been pretty tough in this spazzy market. Need to work on finding ideal expiration lengths and maybe a tighter stop loss. Your strategy definitely works well with day trading options and even swing trading equity shares, but swing trading options has been proving difficult for me. Might just switch to trading equities until I have a day off where I can focus on the market and trade options intraday. Anyone else have success using Carmine’s strategy for swing trading options? Let me know!
