The Turbo Taxi is back after we lunched the engine last time, and it is in the hunt for that elusive 10sec quarter mile time. This is a genuine Melbourne Taxi with over 600,000kms and it still runs on LPG. Can this 4200lb monster runs 10s on LPG!

@@BrosefDudley dude get off the good shit, stock they make 390rwhp tops that's me being nice, show me 1 (stock no tune or anything) making over 400rwhp on several pulls on a hun Dyno, the turbo an intercooler will need to Be replaced along with headers unless they want a 6466 or a 3582r if they want any real power out of It, the diff an trans will need to be rebuilt if pushing shy of 800 along with the engine, fuel pumps..... Its a full build an would be looking a little shy of 90k for the car an parts if they did it correctly.

Because the dyno isn't the track. The track shows things in the datalog that the dyno doesn't reveal. Most tuners set the car up on the dyno and final tune at the track

Not only are Aussies burnouts different to those from 'overseas', the Australian horses are different as well, they appear bigger. Makes you wonder if some of those overseas dynos measure in Shetland ponies, suppose they're still horses technically.

Sure the Falcon would be making 800 hp if measured over there, hence the Shetland size horse reference.,

Ah okay, I haven't watched all the Nova episodes. Been a tad busy. But yeah there are alot of big horsepower car both here and in the US that don't show their power potential at the track. It's like the old joke; what's the difference between a 300kw XR6 turbo and a 600kw xr6 turbo? How deep into the 13s it runs :)

That was before it was tuned and Jason was tweaking the tune at the track. The auto was going away; we put more power in and car was getting slower due to trans slip

Are the tires getting old? It should launch pretty good but seems like its just tearing the wheels when you get boost. It did 12.49 with 382 rwhp and now struggling with 11.5 and 551 rwhp.

It's not struggling, someone thought they would do me a favor and put 35psi in the tyres. I lowered the pressure for the last run and it broke the axle
