It’s forgettable because of the unusually short runtime, which handicaps the story. I think that is the studio’s fault because he said it would be over two hours long back in October of 2018. I think the psychological aspect of the movie is pretty good.

The major thing that bothered me was how young a lot of the original founding members of the X-Men looked. I mean, I understand Mystique and (maybe) Beast, due to being mutated by Mystique's blood, but shouldn't Charles and Erik start looking more like Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen by this point? This is approximately 8 years before the events of the first film, but for some reason, Magneto, who's about 62 at this point, still has a full head of red hair. Not one grey spot whatsoever.
