Radhika was excellent. The start itself was majestic. The pace with which she started varavallabha was exactly like in a concert. Varali alapana and niraval swaram was very professional. Dharini was also good but Radhika overpowered in this round

So nice to listen to an uninterrupted short but sweet sample concert after all that grilling! Loved Radhika’s choices starting off with traditional hamsadhwani followed by the varali which is so apt for her classic concert voice with some gravitas. What was the ragam of the thillana? That was great as well! Both did a great job, Dharini’s Swaraprastharams were brilliant! Her voice though melodious could use some punch, I feel. There was perhaps a barely noticeable slip of Shruthi at the end of Sahana alapana, I think, but lovely singing overall! Judges would have a hard time choosing one over the other in these finals rounds! Well they all have unique talents and voices and are all winners anyway! ❤❤

My vote is for Radhika Only criteria on saying this is that Dharini slightly went off sruthi in some places.. Also her Devagandhari (although classy) could have been more brisk.. That's the challenge here, to sing less, but that should include the entire gamut of the raga Also, interesting - Devagandhari was really close to ragas like Sahana and Dwijavanthi, i couldn't identify it in the live performance

What are all the parameters the judging panel uses for evaluation? Given that the contestants are presented different challenges, hopefully there is a consistent metric of evaluation being used here to give everyone a fair shot at the title. Also it would be nice to hear input from the entire jury, not just the 5 musicians in front. Perhaps we will see more in a future episode.
