Love that lime squeezer! Nothing wrong with using a tool to do other things - most of the time. Sometimes the rubber coated handle of the tongs or can opener can really help with a lid on a glass jar or plastic container because they grip so well.

i use my silicon mats to open difficult jars and to torque lug nuts on my car. there more uses you can get out of a single tool the better for the environment!

I totally understand about not being able to eat certain foods and sweets, I’m diabetic. However, I never deprive myself! And I will eat healthy the day before I want to eat something I’m craving. And FYI I don’t over indulge! I eat a healthy serving. Which keeps me on track! Without overeating, includes desserts. I try to find a Low calorie/sugarfree dessert. But the if I attend a party and they don’t have this, I will take a few bites of whatever I want! And I’m disciplined enough to stop after a couple of bites and it satisfies me. I’ve learned to do this over like 40 years that I have been diabetic (I’m now 64) and it’s not as hard as it was in the beginning! You can do it! Just be strong and don’t deprive yourself, but keep it under control!
