This was very informative, thank you. There were so many good thoughts and ideas in the summary at the end that I went back and listened 3 times. I've thought the devastation going on in Ukraine was somehow related to energy, but the statement that if we could go back 20 years and implement adaptation and mitigation measures, we would not be in this predicament just instantly crystallized my thoughts that this is the path we must take, even if it is 20-30 years too late. The idea that geopolitics and climate change are one and the same, opened my eyes in a way I had not seen before. Decarbonization is the path to ecological and international stability, bases on a human rights based approach. Unfortunately, I don't see how power can be taken away from dictatorial leaders, like Putin and others, and fossil fuel and other corporations in peaceful ways. I do not see them giving up their privilege for the sake of the rest of humanity. Somewhere in there, we have to find the ability to share the abundance of Earth's bounty in a way that protects all life on Earth. I wish your video had a billion views instead of a thousand. Thank you, again for sharing.

It's basically hopeless. There are too many people, but it's taboo to say it. 8 billion should be closer to 2 billion. They like to talk about indigenous knowledge, but indigenous people knew to not overpopulate their land because they would die. We don't seem to have that understanding now, but soon we will.

Oh, what bits ? I thought the ipcc made clear it was forced to water down predictions and leave likely scenarios out ?

@@gabrielgnaegi5156 Any IPCC review , off the top of my head i would go for Peter Carter but there's plenty others explaining the politics behind getting an `agreement` and the role of fossil fuel producing countries to include unworkable schemes like carbon capture etc so to give the illusion we could carry on as normal instead of the absolute existential nightmare now well under way because we left to late for easy transitions and mitigation (ie we have to stop using fossil fuels asap , not asap as in ok i look into it later but asap like your house is on fire .) .

The Earth is cooler with the atmos/GHGs/albedo not warmer. To perform as advertised the GHGs require “extra” energy upwelling from the surface radiating as a black body. The kinetic heat transfer processes of the contiguous atmos molecules render that scenario impossible. No greenhouse effect, no GHG warming, no man/CO2 driven climate change or Gorebal warming. Exactly where do you think the extra CO2 in the atmosphere is coming from? A natural process? Science says no, the extra CO2 is all from manmade sources. CO2 levels are now above 420 ppm and the level continues to increase. Do you believe that this increasing level will have no impact on the weather?
