You'd think having a magical book with all the information they'd ever need that one of them would, I dunno, take an afternoon and read the whole damn thing? Y'know, that way they wouldn't be constantly surprised by the various demons that keep popping up and having to skim the book for information in the moment. I really wish they would have handled grams better honestly because it would have been GREAT story telling to have the woman that raised them the one who’s death brought them together as sisters and the charmed ones to find out slowly over time that grams was an incredibly flawed woman who made soo many mistakes raising them that would be interesting to have the girls reconcile with the woman they remember raising them and who she may have been in reality. And later on they FAIL at holding grams accountable for her part in victor not being around I really hate this missed opportunity.

One thing that I didn't notice until later in this episode was the fountain the little girl was at. It's a sculpture of a face that is squirting water from it's mouth and she's blocking the mouth and giggling at it because it looks like she's drowning a person. I thought that that was a... Weird design choice.

My headcanon is that their father could open the ice cream truck door because he was a potential Ice Cream Man - like with the Slayer there are multiple potentials alive at any point in time but only one of them gets awakened at random should the current Ice Cream Man die. So the Ice Cream Man of his generation lived out his live killing children (demons) so he never got called to active duty.

@@AllisonPregler clearly, there is much more to the Ice Cream Man lore that needs exploration, obviously, the focus of the show should have gradually shifted towards the adventure of the Ice Cream Man and the moral struggles and doubts he faces as he is clearing the world from demonic children never to get a clear answer if he is really ridding the world from evil or just continuing a cycle of violence that dooms children to a life of hate bcs of their heritage. Until one day he faces his biggest foe yet, his nemesis the hellspawn of Piper Halliwell - Wyatt a being so powerful it can summon a dragon with a near though that kills thousands of people. And in a tragic twist, he has to meet the Charmed Ones once fighters for the light now hollow harpies of selfishness that need to be taken out for the good of the world.

Prue certainly had her flaws. However out of the Charmed Ones it always felt like Prue was the most grounded and willing to help people. She never focused on her love life (too much anyway) and in season 3 especially she was the Pro-Witch sister always willing to get into the action. Even in this episode. Paige was also blessed not being raised by Penny Halliwell.

Hi Alison! Nice to hear you again. Love you poking fun at Charmed. I occasionally poke fun at it's stupidity even though I am a fan. I enjoy this episode for it focuses primarily on Prue rebuilding bridges with Victor, which is the more enjoyable parts of the episode. Piper has her ass handed to her by "poor unfortunate souls" that she cannot claim as her own. * Insert evil laugh by Leo* Phoebe is once again arrested by the fashion police. At this point, she might as well move in with them as her wardrobe emphasizes too much bare skin that is either unethical, culturally insensitive or not work appropriate. Plus Justin fades away after the mayhem from Charmed's "Coyote Ugly" parody. I found Justin just a little bit, oh how shall I say it, WEAK, BLAND, FLAT, WAFER THIN, VANILLA, BORING. Plus the Coyote Ugly parody is one of Season 3 weakest episodes as Piper carries on the nostalgia of being the unnoticeable nerd that she cannot overcome her life from high school. Piper, let me break it down for you. NOBODY CARES.

In all fairness Piper is actually in the right here. She can't find or get ahold of Phoebe or Prue and only when she runs out of options does she call Leo. If anything he's wrong for trying to dismiss her concerns before trying to sense them. I get that he was just trying to be reassuring but still. I think this is the only time we ever see Piper do anything like this, despite them constantly going off to deal with demons on their own. Particularly Paige in the later years. The ice cream man opened the door to let Prue and Phoebe out, because the Elders told him he made a mistake. He also tried to lead them back to the door.

I know I'm late to comment, but I just re-watched this episode. Indeed, the reason why Dad Bennet can open is the truck is he is mortal. The Ice Cream Man is mortal, and anyone magical cannot open the door (hence why the girls need Dad to rescue them again, and how he was able to save Prue). So, the very fact he was mortal was why he was able to save the girls, making Grandma Ghost's logic even more nonsensical. Also, Prue and Phoebe both say their powers don't work in the Ice Cream Dimension; but Phoebe only knows Prue was sucked in as a child because she gets a premonition in the Ice Cream Dimension...
