I went on Freedom's sister the Liberty in 2008. Almost the exact same ship, except Liberty is older, built in 2005 instead of 2007. They're amazing! I want the food again because it was so amazing lol!

Awesome Job once again guys on your video. I really enjoy watching them. The food on the cruise is really good. Guy's and Blue Iguana are our favorite. This is our 4th Carnival Cruise and Dr. Seuss has become sort of like a family tradition. One quick tip for all of your viewers. We don't drink, but just like with your champagne and wine, each person can bring a bottle of sparkling cider on with them. Quick question have you guys been on the Valor? We're leaving on the 9th and have seen it's a pretty good ship with all the necessities: Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana, Camp Carnival and Movies at the pool, but wondering.

I know! Unfortunately, the cruise we have booked for April doesn't have a Guys!!! AAAGHHH!!! But we wanted to try this ship, which is the Dream and we have never cruised out of New Orleans... so we will have to find somewhere else to eat. But at least they have the deli, which is my second favorite ;)

I have type 2 diabetes and the first cruise we went o was the sensation which was limited on sugar free food except the desserts on the buffet. I cant wait to go on the freedom to the Bahamas from Galveston texas looks like a prettier ship

Your Dream video helped a lot with mom and me to get us excited for our cruise last year. She was really afraid and now wants to go on another one lol. I booked another one soon after we got off, a 5 day on Valor in November but decided we love 7 days too much lol. So we changed it to the Freedom last night 😊 but we might do a 5 day in April on Glory of next year. She can join my husband & I on that one. Cruising is so addicting lol.

Just saw your video. One of the things that I love about cruising is the food. I found out LONG ago, that if you really liked one particular dish, that you could ask for seconds and get it. (burp) My wife is alergic to garlic, so she usually has a major problem in trying to find meals that do NOT have garlic in them. On top of that, she's diabetic. Try to find some sugar-free deserts on board. There are some, but very few. I have written Carnival more than once about this concern. 10% of Americans are diabetics. That means that on a ship with 3,6oo, there could be 360 people on board that are diabetic. And, it's a lead pipe cinch that 10% of the deserts are NOT sugar free. Fact is, sugar free tastes just like deserts made with sugar. Splenda does a great job. You did very well on your video. Not shaking and whipping the camera around making me sea sick. Happy cruising.

+Stephen Sladaritz we just love your comment!!! Food is really one of the best things about cruising, most of it is so good!! There are definitely dishes that we order multiples of on every ship! You know I never thought about the sugar free, I hope they work with you on that issue. When we were on the Dream in April I did notice a few sugar free dishes in the MDR... Jason decided he was going to try to 'diet' on a cruise (haha) so he ordered a couple and they were good. Happy cruising 🛳

Awe, thank you so much!!! We have never cruised during Thanksgiving but I expect it will be like Easter. We cruise Easter every year and the ships are sold out and full of kids. We bring our kids so I don't mind the ship being about 50% kids. We always have a great time!

Im glad I came across yalls Channel. I was planning the same western caribbean cruise aboard the Liberty of the seas with Royal Carribean, literally hitting the same place, cozumel, george town and jamaica EXCEPT, with royal carribean it ports in falmouth then you have to drive to Ocho Rios (because obviously everything is their) which is an HOUR.But carnival takes you to the ochio rios port, and although the ship itself doesnt seem as nice as the liberty, the $1606 price difference of carnival compared to the $2586 with royal carribean is what sold me on carnival. Anyways, thanks for the video.

We have looked into RC also but have only cruised with Carnival so far. All of the ships we have been on were great! Our favorite spot on the Freedom was the Red Frog Pub on Promenade. There was always a relaxed vibe in there and usually had great acoustic music. Did you see the other videos from the Freedom? There are quite a few of them. Happy cruising!!!

So glad you are enjoying the videos!!! Jason bought the Cheers program, but I (Alisa) did not. We feel Cheers is well worth it if you have 5 drinks (or more) a day. Two adults in the same cabin will both have to purchase the package, but... we book me in one room with two kids and him in another room with the other. You will have to do the math to see if it makes sense for you. Drinks will average @$10, so if you have 5 a day, it is worth it and will also include unlimited non-alcoholic beverages like sodas, smoothies, coffees, etc. Hope you have a wonderful cruise! Yes, Carnival allows a 12 pack of non-alcoholic beverages per person (cans not bottles). They will open the box to check each can to make sure you're not sneaking beer on :) It was very helpful to us so we didn't have to buy the soft drink package on board!

The brunch is included and the Dr Seuss breakfast is only $5 per person, definitely worth it. We loved the Freedom, it’s a beautiful ship. We have lots more videos from this trip if you’re interested.

Hello! I love your videos! I'll be on the Freedom in a couple of months and have a question for you. I noticed at a couple of the dining tables there were canned soft drinks. Were those drinks brought on board or were they purchased on the ship? I'd like to bring my own and know there's a 12 can maximum per person (more than enough) but I became curious as to where you're allowed to drink them after watching this video.

+Love, Liv we're so glad you're enjoying the videos 😀 Those are the drinks we brought on board. Once they are on the ship you can drink them anywhere you want. Same with the wine, if you take the bottle into the dining room then they charge an 'uncorking fee' but you can ask your steward for an ice bucket and glasses and pour a glass and take it wherever you like. Hope this helps!

EECC Travels Thank you so much for the quick response! I'm currently watching the Day 1: Boarding the Ship video and I had no idea my vehicle was going to be transported via ferry! Freaked me out a little! Did you all leave your vehicle in the parking garage? I inquired about the garage today and the fee is $70 which I think is responsible as long as my car is safe... but when I asked the employee about it he didn't really say that break ins HAVEN'T occurred 😞 Also, do you park your car in the garage yourself and take the keys with you onto the ship? Or does an employee park it for you and return the keys? Keep the keys? I apologize for the questions, this is my first cruise and I didn't realize how little I knew even though I've spent quite some time researching various aspects of our upcoming trip.

+Love, Liv you don't have to take the ferry if you don't want to. When you put in the address in your gps it will tell you there is a ferry and ask if you want to stay on that route so if you say no it will take you over the bridge to the island. We usually take the ferry going and the bridge on the way home. We use Lighthouse parking in Galveston. It's a couple of blocks from port and they bring you by shuttle to the port. And yes we take our keys with us. You can get covered or uncovered parking here and we've never had a problem.

We always prebook our excursions. Sometimes through the cruise line and sometimes outside. It is definitely cheaper to book outside but you lose the ship’s guarantee. That being said we have always had good experiences booking independently. We have never booked at the port because I am a super planner and like to know exactly what we will be doing and like to research the company we will be using. Hope this helps!

Yes, all the food is included with the exception of the steakhouse and coffee bar. But there are so many included food options that are wonderful, we have never eaten in the steakhouse. Thanks for watching!
