The man who complained is probably a bully and has learned if he complains long enough and loud enough he will most likely get his way. Kudos to the dining room staff, the guest services staff and John Heald for standing up to him!

I had paid for a lobster tail once that was over cooked. I ate about half, then my dad tried it and agreed it was way over cooked. So we didn't finish it. The waiter asked if it was ok and I told him the issue. I NEVER asked for a refund or replacement. But they ended up refunding me at their choice. I would normally never say anything. They asked me because I wasn't eating it

Surprised that was not a rule already. From working in the food industry I have developed my own guidelines for dining at restaurants. 1. If no one has taken our tables drink order within 10 minutes of being seated we walk out. Here is what that says to me the restaurant is seriously understaffed and everything is going to take much longer than normal. 2. If any of the main dishes are unavailable please give our table a heads up. I always have a couple backup options but sometimes for others at the table this can be a lot of pressure. I have stated taking the lead on this and just asking the server, but I know they do not always have the most current information. My 4th meal choice is dining somewhere else. Unless there are extenuating circumstances I have too many doubts about the quality and freshness of ordering the food that is left over. 3. Unless the restaurant has very limited hours I avoid the hour before closing. Generally speaking this is the time when most restaurants are in a cleaning wind down mode and customers may not be the top priority If these sound to harsh they really are not asking much. I don’t write bad reviews, run to the manager, or ask for refunds. I also have concerns about remakes, unless it is something serious like broken glass in the food. At the most I just make an excuse, pay my tab and leave. Sometimes when the situation calls for it I make exceptions to these guidelines which generally reminds me why they work.

I back Carnival on this one. Complain as soon as you get it, not after you finished it. But since you mentioned it, just don't go to the Steakhouse if you are hard to please. ME: 2016: Awesome experience!!! 2023: Post shutdown. I had the Surf and Turf. Lobster tail was the size of a medium shrimp and the filet looked like a burnt golf ball. Any chef would have been ashamed to serve it if he or she were not being forced to. I ate it with no complaint but I will not go again!

I agree with Carnival if you eat in the Steak House. However.. I'm a big girl. I always lose weight on Carnival. Not impressed with the food. My husband and I went on the Carnival Miracle to Hawaii. We hated the food. It was really bad. Alot of people were talking about the food not being good. I couldn't believe they messed up a Guy's burger 😢😢

I’m sorry but after working in the Industry for 40 years, only an idiot would try to do this at a high end steakhouse featuring Prime Meats! You can do this at your local Sizzler, but not a quality facility. Heck, you can’t get away with this at Longhorn or Outback. I used to tell patrons like this that it must have been so bad that you had to eat the whole thing to figure out what was wrong!! Sorry Chuckles, but no refund or comp!!

Rather than build a premium brand and reputation the grab for fast dollars is not lifting them up but dragging them down. There are other lines that offer more value for the money without the creeps.
